Sweeping Attack Crits

So the Battle Master Sweeping Attack ability states that you can cause another target the same damage as your superiority dice damage for that attack. Critting means you would roll twice for the superiority die damage for the primary attack and would mean you would automatically be able to damage a second target in range. Since the die was rolled twice, does that mean the totalĀ amount of damage is taken by the secondary target or only the first dice of damage is taken?
