In the description of the property of a Scale Mail(+4 AC, armor check penalty -4, speed 20 ft., 30 lb.).
What's the meaning of ft. and lb. here?
P.S.: What i'm reading is the handbook of v3.5 Eratta.

They mean foot, pound, and gold piece, respectively.
It's worth noting that "ft" for foot and "lb" for pound are not D&D abbreviations; they're standard English abbreviations.

In the US, we use feet (ft.) and pounds (lbs.) because we are taught that the metric system is a form of witchcraft.

The Fahrenheit scale isn't arbitrary. Fahrenheit set the scale so that 100 would be human body temperature - but he missed it by a bit (the correct value is 98.6 F).
