in other words yes, you get your added damage throwing too. i feel it's pretty straight forward, how are you interpretting wha it says? |

| #4UnknownMournerAug 17, 2014 21:36:25 | Why would the thrown offhand weapon get +damage if a melee offhand weapon doesn't?
Every magic thrown weapon having the returning quality was a cool addition to 4th edition. It will be very hard to walk players back from that if it changes in 5th. I'm normally all for realism, but if a +1 melee weapon and a +1 throwing axe cost the same, and two guys both select class features and feats to specialize in the different weapons, it's kind of hard to make the throwing specialist just waste his weapon for a few rounds while the melee guy with the same dedication doesn't have to. So unless they make magic thrown weapons a fifth or a tenth less, or you find them in bundles of 5 or 10 or so, it's kind of a lesser choice without the returning quality.
I guess I would also add it did not really break anything in 4th, so there's no problem for me. 4th wasn't a thrown weapon slaughterfest just because of that one rule that alleviated a headache.
