#1 Tengu Sep 06, 2014 4:55:28	The Sorcerer Metamagic ability Quickened Spell reads "when you cast a spell that has a casting time of 1 action you can spend 2 sorcery points to change the casting time to 1 bonus action for this casting"   True Strike reads "On your next turn you gain advantage on your first attack roll against the target."  Note that it reads “next turn” not next action or next attack.   So, if a have used True Strike and Quickened Spell and the beginning of THIS turn (as a bonus action before attacking) will my NOW attack have advantage or do I still wait until NEXT TURN?   So, is it RAW or is it a exception because of the use of Quickened Spell ability?   (Great trick for a Sorcery / Rogue).
#2 Prism Sep 06, 2014 5:03:43	This also comes up with the war magic ability from eldritch knight. Its a divination that predicts a few seconds into the future which grants advantage. I would say its intended to be the next round but it looks balanced to apply to the current round
#3 Alynn Sep 06, 2014 6:44:04	It will be next turn because using a bonus action happens during your turn. Just because you use your bonus action before you attack or move does not mean the bonus action happened before your turn started.

The only thing it changes is its casting time - from one action, to one bonus action.    True Strike (Quickened) Casting Time: One bonus Action Effect: On your next turn you gain advantage on your first attack roll against the target.   This effect also causes conflict when making Opportunity Attacks. The benefits of this spell only apply during your next turn. They do not provide any benefit when making OAs, or during attacks this turn (if quickened).
