#1 OgreBane99 Sep 08, 2014 15:47:24	I am trying to compile a list of rules that seem to be questionable in 5e… such as the Hidden condition, the Polearm Master feat, wizard’s overchannel, potion creation, and Perception vs Investigate, among several others I’d imagine.  I am beginning a campaign in a couple weeks and I’d like to have my rulings on these items clarified and concrete before we begin character creation.   I started going through the Ask a Simple Question… post, but that was going to take forever to go through each individual post.  What are the major contenders from 5e that seem to have questionable or unclear rules associated with them, besides the ones I listed above?   Thank you!
#2 Overpromises Sep 08, 2014 20:47:26	I don’t have a complete list, but a few I can remember:   Does elf trance have any effect at all? Does the warlock invocation Agonizing Blast add the Charisma bonus to each beam against the same target, or would that only be true for different targets like for Magic Missile? Exactly how many hit points is the minimum regained with the Durable feat for each Hit Die (I didn’t think it was unclear, but there was a huge “animated discussion” right before release)? How do regular opportunity attacks with a reach weapon work even without Polearm Master (unofficial dev tweets say 10 feet away)? What happens if two spellcasters both cast Dominate Monster on the same creature? Does monster Natural Armor stack with a shield (rules say no, but Lizardfolk have both)? Does a spell with a material component use up a character’s free object interaction that turn? What is the cost of taking one hand off a two handed weapon? What is the cost of putting one hand back on a two handed weapon? Can a shield with a holy symbol on it be used with the War Caster feat for cleric spell material components as well? The Contagion spell (cleric 5ᵗʰ level) is particularly dangerous even if the target succeeds on all of its saving throws. Does a Wall of Force spell block spells the same way as a Forcecage spell in the shape of a box does? Does a beast wearing barding need proficiency to avoid penalties?   I was not aware of remaining controversy for being hidden, what is the question?

Can a minor alchemy transformation last for more than 1 hour if concentration isn't lost? Does dropping an held item count as interacting with an object? Does Agonizing Blast adds to the damage roll of every eldritch blast? Does Empowered Evocation adds to the damage roll of every magic missile? Can a ranger's beast companion take reaction and make opportunity attack?
#4 Amerikajin Sep 09, 2014 10:27:10	Action surge grants you an action, not a turn, unlike the rogue ability Thief's Reflexes.  The limit of 1 bonus action per turn remains.
#5 CUrban Sep 09, 2014 12:04:28	Any clarification out there regarding grappling?  Once you win the initial contest if you have remaining attacks in the round may you use them to attack?  If the target fails to break the grapple on their turn I assume you don't have to spend an action on your next turn to maintain the grapple.  So do you again attack your allowed number of attacks for that turn?
