| #1FLAKPANZERAug 21, 2014 19:45:34 | The variant encumbrance rules on P.176 of the 5E PHB state that if you use them, you don't use the armor speed reduction rules on the armor table. The dwarf has a special rule where its speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor.
Is that ability wasted if you use the variant encumbrance rules? |

| #3ShiroikenAug 22, 2014 3:34:35 | I simply allowed the dwarf to skip a step, so they don't suffer any penalty until 10x Str lbs. That makes the dwarf really good at caring treasure and other gear, which really makes a lot of sense to me. |
