When you use your familiar's senses, are you blinded and deaf to your surroundings, like gaze of two minds or the find familiar spell?

It doesn't say so, so I guess not. It has to have worthy advantages over the ability you already get from Find Familiar, I'm not sure simply speaking with your own voice is enough.

Perception through the familiar happens as normal. The bonus for Voice of the Chain Master is not just speaking with your own voice, but being able to communicate with and perceive through your familiar while you're both on the same plane of existence. Normally, that's limited to 100 feet. That's a pretty big upgrade, especially if you have a world like EverQuest where you have access to a moon or something. So long as you're both on the PMP, you can see what your familiar sees, even across thousands of kilometers.
