Would an evil eye pass through a wall of force? If not, then what does?
I feel that gazes, psychic attacks, noise attacks (but not a thunderwave) or teleports and the like would pass right through. What are your thoughts? |

Gaze attacks I would rule to work because the wall is invisible and thus not blocking sight in any way, which means the wall does not interfere with the targeting of a gaze, which usually states a distance and that the creature needs to see and/or be seen by the creature with the gaze.
Psychic attacks that are purely mind-to-mind would work fine, but if the attack creates a physical effect like a mind flayer's mind blast creating a cone of energy the wall of force would stop the cone.
As for noise attacks... that's a case of checking the origin point. The wave from thunderwave will not pass through the wall, nor would the effect of a shatter spell... but I see nothing preventing you from chosing a point on the other side of a wall of force as the origin of the 10-foot-radius sphere created by shatter.
Teleportation is not physically traveling through the wall, so it is not stopped by the wall. |
