| #1DrkMagusXJan 06, 2015 17:20:49 | The Pact of Chain warlock gets a different kinda familiar than regular from the Find Familiar spell. Does the familiar get all info from the stat block example abilities to shapechange like the imp and Quasti, the Sprite has invisiblity and sleep poison for its bows . It did state anywhere if the creature was different than the stat blocks.

| #2AaronOfBarbariaJan 06, 2015 17:36:49 | The familiar gets its stat block, and has no adjustments from that which I am aware of when talking about those options specifically available to warlocks of the chain pact.
It is important to note, however, that the variant side-bars accompanying some of the stat blocks for those creature types are not talking about that creature as a familiar gained by class feature/spell, but that those creatures sometimes choose to be a character's familiar for a time and impart a particular trait to the character while remaining an otherwise entirely independent creature. |
