| #1RAJdeBoerMay 21, 2015 5:04:38 | As an experienced player and DM, I've recently picked up 5E, and I must say I like what I see a lot. However, I was wondering if there is a place where anyone has made a primer on what has changed from the previous version(s) to this one. Things like "Healing surges are gone, replaced for hit dice" and "There is no more Delay action" things like that. Anyone knows if it is somewhere and if not, care to join me in making it? |

| #5Tempest_StormwindMay 21, 2015 9:17:47 | It's not exactly the same, but it's related: I've started a list of terms that either refer to something that no longer exists, or do not mean what people think they mean. (For instance, fans of 3.X and 4e might be shocked to learn there's no "stacking", while fans of 2e can look up THAC0 and immediately see it's realized as an attack bonus).
The plan is to expand that list with other vital terms from previous editions, but for now I stuck to terms that were in the index. My goal wasn't to provide a comprehensive list of revisions, so much as a glossary of terms that aren't applicable to this edition anymore. |
