Say i use tavern brawler, I kick someone and i get a bonus action to grapple someone. Can i first put my shield away then grapple or do i have to use the bonus action as my very next action? |

| #4MrBloodpuppyOct 16, 2014 4:56:33 | you can use the bonus action before you actually get the action?
i have hard time believign that one. |
| #5AaronOfBarbariaOct 16, 2014 5:13:27 | It might be hard to believe, but it is still true in cases where the bonus action doesn't specifically say it follows after whatever grants you the bonus action.
Of course, you have to keep in mind that people are expected not to try any kind of "I'm going to take the attack action this round, so I'll use a bonus action for two-weapon fighting first [roll out the bonus action off-hand attack]... actually, I'm going to Dodge instead," shennanigans. |
