#1 Staccat0 Sep 14, 2014 21:21:39	I'm a little confused by some of the wording in the PHB.   Do trickster rogues prepare spells? Do clerics? Sorcerers don't right? Wixzards DEFINITELY do... Could someone just make me a stupid list because I am an idiot? I feel like I'm conflating editions and stuff from the playtests.   PS when I say prepare spells, I mean you have a list of spells you know and you memorize some of these spells during a rest.   I KNOW this is a stupid question, but for some reason it caught me off guard today when a trickster rogue today told me he didn't need to memorize spells. Whcihc makes sense thematically but still... I was suprised.

See Spellcasting: Cleric; Druid; Paladin; Wizard"   "Spells Known. See also Spellcasting: Bard; Fighter, Eldritch Knight; Ranger; Rogue, Arcane Trickster; Sorcerer; Warlock"
#3 2goth4U Sep 14, 2014 22:33:16	and there's not a whole lot of difference between the two methods either...   Clerics, paladins, and druids know all spells available to them except cantrips, but they have to prepare the ones available to them.   Wizards know the spells in their spellbooks, but they have to prepare the ones available to them.   Other classes only know a limited number of spells so that's what's available to them.
