When a Wizard from the School Of Enchantment reaches level 14 they gain some abilities, including: "when you cast an enchantment spell to charm one or more creatures, you can alter one creature's understanding so that it remains unaware of being charmed'.
But I notice the level 1 Charm Person spell specifies "when the spell ends, the creature knows it was charmed by you". Does the level 14 ability cancel-out that problem?
Also I see people on the web saying it's cool how the level 14 ability also affects the Friends cantrip. But surely it doesn't, as the Friends spell doesn't 'charm' anyone (despite being an enchantment spell)?

It's (likely intentionally) a decision for each DM to make - I personally choose to interpret it as the former, rather than the latter, because friends has very few times is isn't a hindrance to have and use before the harsh side effect is removed (but I don't feel that simply removing the harsh side effect without a class feature acting upon it would result in a cantrip level effect).
