Verasek the Creator is a peculiar beholder mage who works with a partner, Djorn the Trapsmith, a dwarf. They usually work building traps, labyrinths, stone golems and such like for rich clients, they are actually good friends and share a passion for craftsmanship and architecture, each complimenting the other.
Once in a while, Verasek travels to see Large Luigi, on the Rock of Bral, though no one knows why, well, no one who has not been non-Disintegrated, that is...! Note that unlike most beholder mages, he has managed to keep his central eye.
Have you got any idea how you would sell two beholders as belonging to different "clans" yet? Can you keep the outline of the beholder and apply different skin to it?
And on a similar note, have you worked out how to sell different beholder kin (Hive Mothers, Directors, etc) as being from the same clan? Can you apply the same beholder skin to beholders that are different shapes or that have more or less eyes?
well I can apply different textures: skin images are easily swapped, though I have to make them in Photosdop, which isn't so easy.
I can alter their eyes to be sucker/tentacle ends, or claws.
I can't make the tentacles into "hard crustacean" look, though I think I MAYBE able ot do it with some work.
