#1 bigmac Apr 03, 2011 5:45:28	The first of these I saw was called "Monsters of Spelljammer", now I am seeing more of them. It seems that scammers are grabbing the content of Wikipedia articles and turning them into Print on Demand books. The Monsters of Spelljammer "book" would be about 1 page long if it used the article, but what the scammers have done is add a lot of other random Wikipedia stuff that is connected to other D&D settings. Now that Boz has been working hard to defeat the delitionists there are now some articles about specific SJ products on Wikipedia. And the same Print on Demand scammers have started to grab those articles to make scam PoD books. (Wikipedia is published under a licence that allows reuse, but these scammers are "passing off" Wikipedia content dumps as Spelljammer products, so I believe they are breaking the law.) These scam books do not have the correct ISBN or author details. Please check details* of any SJ products before you buy. * = You should also be checking to see if products have posters or other items, as some people selling second-hand copies do not know what is supposed to be in them.
#2 nijineko Apr 10, 2011 18:49:41	Thank you for this useful information.  In a somewhat related topic, I am looking for the owner of the Official Spelljammer site listed in your sig.  (btw, the html link is misspelled, missing an "l", resulting in a server not found error.) The email listed on said site is erroneous, pointing to a now defunct yahoo group.
