#1 Bathnor Aug 09, 2014 15:20:48	Hello again, My local game shop has a red players handbook of Hack Master for sale. Ive checked the "flow maps" that are available on the web and noticed some of them have crystal spheres for the hack master and hack jammer settings. I have never played a hackmaster game and do not own any of the books.   Which edition is Hackjammer? I may buy that players handbook if it will be compatable with hackjammer. Andf then purchace Hackjammer from Amazon or e-bay. My campaign is going to be strictly a 3.5E game, so for those that have played or read either of the books, how difficult is it to convert their rules into 3.5E. For space combat and such I think I will be using the 3.5 rules set found at spelljammer.org. I have plenty of time to convert as I'm currently playing in a friends game.
#2 Ath-kethin Sep 08, 2014 19:56:54	Hackmaster is a parody of 1st and 2nd edition AD&D, made by the writers of the Knights of the Dinner Table comic. WoTC made a mistake years ago and reprinted a bunch of the comics without permission, and the resulting lawsuit led to permission being granted to make the parody using the actual AD&D rules. So the closest edition to Hackmaster is 2nd, but it is pretty heavily modified. If you aren't both familiar with 2e and able to access the Hackmaster core books, the crunch inside won't be very useful.
