| #1lordcorbinJul 09, 2007 10:30:09 | So is there anything else from Wotc coming out that might have support for spelljammers? I'm starting a new (well slightly existing campaign) that is going to have support for spelljammering. I've found one website but it seems the information hasn't been updated since 2005/2006. Anyone have anything more current? |

Maldin's Greyhawk gets a mention for sheer awesomeness, however, as does Silverblade's Suitcase there's a few others out there (iirc, there's a link to the "spelljammer webring" at beyond the moons), and there's probably yet even more cool stuff out there if i knew where to look (one of the regular/quasi-regular posters has mentioned they have a list of spelljammer sites, iirc... bigmac, maybe? anyways, they may show up with a list of more stuff for you). as far as official support, we're not likely to get any of that. for the most part, WotC ignores spelljammer, and at best they sort of occasionally throw out casual references to it (for example, the Lords of Madness web expansion has an adventure with a nautiloid in it, and there's another series of articles with an astral keep or something like that which has spelljamming vehicle-type things in it...) overall, if you want to see the 3rd edition rules developed, try out the rules at beyond the moons; the conversion there is official inasmuch as WotC has designated it to be the official website, and one of the main things those rules are lacking in is being thoroughly playtested.... i'm sure any feedback you have would be appreciated for the fine-tuning of those rules (i understand they work, it's just they're checking for holes in the rules and such) |
