#2 dulsi Jan 07, 2011 19:21:24	Doubtful. I suspect the planes will be the means of interaction. When they say all settings I think they mean only currently published. Unless they intend to bring back Greyhawk I doubt it will affect that world. Also they have not said it will affect Eberron. None of the announced books take place there. It wouldn't surprise me if it is left untouched.

THRONE OF ORCUS The lord That-riz-dun sought to craft a helm that might allow him to take his prize into the phlogiston and escape even the Gods who rivaled him. This terrible helm grown from the very world itself would allow any who sat apon it to shift the world itself - unfortunatly it is in a sanctum sanctorum at the heart of the world and only one may enter at a time and not until the chamber is vacated. The foul one lost track of the throne having foolishly got up from his seat to deal with some inconvenience. Orcus having made off with the Throne is unaware that it is anything other than a scrying tool allowing total awareness of the World. Access to the Sanctum Sanctorum is via the Abyss only and Orcus's bum is very happy where it is. it would take considerable provocation to get the dark one out of his seat. The Helm powers the World as though it were SR:1.

I know nothing about this 4e plot, but one thing to bear in mind is that (from a SJCS point of view) Greyhawk/Oerth is in the middle of Greyspace. So if something happens to the Greyhawk Campaign Setting, it happens (to a lesser extent) to the Greyspace crystal sphere. The same can be said of Forgotten Realms/Toril affecting Realmspace and Dragonlance/Krynn affecting Krynnspace. My personal feeling is that, if I did decide to use any 4e stuff, I would be retaining the crystal spheres and the phlogiston and sticking with their ability to isolate individual planetary systems. From my point of view (of how I would run Spelljammer) the crystal spheres allow every crystal sphere (either one based around a campaign setting or one that is pure SJ) to be different. So if Tharizdun's Return was fun, I'd have it happen in one of more spheres, but not all of them. Perhaps you could use it in a similar way to the First Unhuman War, Second Unhuman War and battle against the Vodoni Empire.
