It can be interaction from the players, or the characters, or both, and is, for the most part, a non-canon thread. Just keep your sigs off. Or Mini Pseudo Tarrasque will eat you. Mini Pseudo Tarrasque: Gr, arg. |

| #9orcy_the_green_wonderDec 23, 2008 1:01:59 | The doors burst open and the beating of war drums echo from without, a large number of orcs can be seen outside assembling camps. With a clang an Armored form dismounts his aged grey wolf and strides into the room. One arm seems clad and covered completely in thick mithral plates while the other carries the look of his black armor. Removing his helm the aged orc seats himself at a large table, joined by a number of others. All bear the same symbol of a watchful eye, and those who have attended the arena recognize the large form of it's patron. In his world known as Kah-Bel, Legion's Bane. In this, called Orcy the Green Wonder. "So lads, we find outselves here within the walls of a tavern that Orcy has known many a time. Fresh from the field and eager for drink and, Orcy is sure, pleasures that only fine company can provide. But first there is always the matter of tales... yes the tales of the field and great battles past, victories claimed over those who oppose us. Orcy shall give the honors to you fine gentlemen if you so wish it... if not he himself shall begin." |
| #10orcy_the_green_wonderJan 01, 2009 17:30:52 | "Very well... if none wish to share a tale of blood and glory, Orcy shall begin." Our tale begins in a distant land, far from the portals and sights of Tyrannor. Here... there were monsters. Not monsters of epic proportions, creatures of fear and terror... but men and women. Monsters in the sense that they were so far from their birth, they were no longer mortal. In these days war was rampant and the human empire of Gralan ruled. They had begun what they called the Great Purging. All that was not human was banished from the Empire of Gralan, which composed the entire mainland continent and much of the surrounding islands. The elves vanished, retreating into their forests and hiding themselves amongst the trees. The Barbaric peoples of Telmaar fortified their shores with crude constructs. We... the Orcs, continued as we always had. We hunted and we fought our enemies, we were content to leave the humans to their lands. However... as is the way of men, they brought war to our people. Battles were fought throughout Sonkar, our ancestral Homeland. The humans managed to build themselves a small port town there, defended by a crude wooden pallisade. They brought many soldiers to our lands and attacked the tribes in their villages, killing everything that was not human and dared to stand in their way. We fought and we died, then came the greatest mistake the humans could have made. Instead of killing everyone... they chose to take some as slaves. Our young men and our women were taken to be their servants. Our people are very close, and our families are sacred. To tear our sisters and young away from us, this was the final straw. The tribes united. Gralan's soldiers were forced steadily back, battles raged across the continent. While they fought, the leaders met in Old Grok, the central city that served as the meeting place of the Orcish tribes. Gralan sent assassins, an entire legion of soldiers through the northern woods, home to savage beasts and monsters. But it would seem that they left these humans alone... they came upon Old Grok without it's warriors prepared. Outside the gates the orcs assembled, the human soldiers were approaching swiftly. The troupe of bodyguards to tribal leaders prepared themselves and knew that the battle would be hard fought, but knew that they could not win. As the humans rode into view, many of the orcs began to lose heart and hope. They retreated slowly, moving back into the fortified camp-city that was Old Grok. I was there. I watched as they retreated from the coming soldiers, I saw the deciet and trickery in the eyes of the human soldiers. They had struck a deal with the beasts of the north, of this I was certain. My anger was great when I looked upon them and I knew they had given their souls, to darkness, they had given far more to the norhtern beasts than they knew. The defenders retreated to the meeting hall, seeing their number far outmatched what they had estimated and the city was left clear for all but one. I stood within the gates and as they were shattered, drew my blade. Men and women, monsters all, charged me. Each time I swung my sword many died. The battle was intense, there were bodies and blood everywhere. I gave in to the bloodlust, I grew drunk upon the feeling of it, the taste of battle, the joy of the fight. I killed them by scores, men and horse alike. When the battle was finished my armor was stained red. My blade dripped with their blood. I looked down upon them, many corpses lie at my feet and I stood upon the remains of the legion. Behind me the doors crept open and orcish warriors stepped forward. They stared at the scene before them and great cheers rose up. They praised me for defending Old Grok from their enemy, they cheered me though most did not know who I was. I had been banished many years before, after a disagreement with their first queen, she who became their cherished goddess. They forgave and accepted me back into their ranks, but I could not stay. There was much work to do. The day I left the Cheitain of the largest Orcish Tribe came to me with his son Dar-Goth at his side. He spoke breifly, praising me and gave unto me a title. In our traditions a title is given to a warrior for the lone hunt, for tracking and slaying one's opponent in single combat. This title was unlike any others however. He called me Kah-Bel, Legion's Bane. |
