|
| #2dyneFeb 14, 2007 20:06:09 | A somewhat older and more mature (though still young and handsome) Elf in emerald green robes walks into the inn, leaning on a wooden staff. He stands there for a moment, gazing around, letting old memories flood back. Then a sig scurries past, and he reflexively crushes it beneath his staff. A smile creeping across his face, he grabs an apron and heads for the kitchen. |
| #3zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 20:20:35 | Looking up at the sound of crushing sig, he sees the familiar elf. Good to see you're back, Dyne. Before he picks up the sig, marinates it in dragon beer, and makes some sig steaks for the returning staff. |
| #4captainsharFeb 14, 2007 21:12:22 | *A winged centaur, or a human-headed pegasus, or whatever, gallops up to the inn and enters.* I haven't had a really good meal for a good long while. This ring thing is useful, but it sure takes the spice out of life. Literally. Can I order a steak, a loaf, a fowl, a large green salad, an oat mash, a bale of hay, a glass of water, and a mug of mead? *The beautiful centauress slides a ring off her little finger. She shakes her long silver-tipped black hair away from her face and looks towards the kitchen with anticipation.* |
| #5turalisjFeb 14, 2007 22:43:51 | *slinks back into the Inn* 'Scuse me. *claps hands together and touches the ground* *spikes erupt from the floor, impaling the sig* That's better. |
| #6zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 22:47:08 | Sig steak or other? As he says that, he begins getting to work on the order, as does Dyne (assumably). I take it you're an outsider as well? |
| #7dyneFeb 14, 2007 22:53:12 | Sig steak or other? You assume correctly. The Elf begins mashing oats using a loaf of bread that has hardened like a stone. He then casts a spell to freshen and purify it, before getting to work on the salad. Outside, a bird can be seen flying past before it is struck down by a scorching ray. He then pours water into a glass and a mug, turning the latter into mead with a wave of his hand. He presses the small bell on the counter, tray in hand. "Order's ready." |
| #8turalisjFeb 14, 2007 22:56:37 | God mother..... *snaps fingers, incinerating the sig left by Dyne* Damnit Dyne, stop lettin those sigs in. *quietly adds another rule* 11. No smiting the employees. :P ;) |
| #9zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 22:56:53 | Thanks. Crowley puts it in front of the new arrival, adding some other bits before going back to preparing food for the staff. Turalisj, pull up a seat, pal. Got you some fresh drow blood. Rule 12. If anyone's going to smite'em, it's going to be me, damn it.:P |
| #10turalisjFeb 14, 2007 22:57:46 | I'll take mine to go. I've got to make sure this new world of existance that I found is the real thing. |
| #11zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 22:58:59 | Crowley rolls out a keg for him. Enjoy. |
| #12dyneFeb 14, 2007 23:00:26 | God mother..... "Ah, thank you old friend. I still forget sometimes, after all these years...." Sips some millennium-old Elven wine from a glass. |
| #13turalisjFeb 14, 2007 23:02:16 | *grabs the keg and stowes it in his Pocket of Infinite Holding(Patent still Pending)* Thanks. Cya..... ooc: night. |
| #14captainsharFeb 14, 2007 23:03:34 | A House Specialty? I must try it. She looks up at the sig stuck to the ceiling, and can't help but smile at the perfect skewering. Outsider? Is that what you call us? What an unfriendly word. But yes, I'm from Celestia, mostly. Always useful if you want to light up a place a little. Waken stamps her hooves until the sparks light up the inn with a soft silvery glow. How's that? I thought "Sunshower" might be better than "Blazing Noon." |
| #15dyneFeb 14, 2007 23:08:03 | "Yes, it's much easier on the eyes. Thank you." Sips some more of his Elven wine, pausing to zap a stray sig with a lightning bolt. OoC: 'Night, Turalisj. |
| #16captainsharFeb 14, 2007 23:16:12 | Waken stands at the bar and eats, ravenously at first, and then settles down to a contented chewing. I think a few of my sigs got into the stables. I'll see about them. She exits for a few minutes, and returns holding three sigs with their necks deftly twisted, and munching on some hay. She returns to her drink. |
| #17zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 23:19:41 | 'Night, T. It's a truth, I'm afraid. Anyway, nice light show, miss? With a snap of his fingers, the candles, lanterns...any light source there, really, lights and begins showing the place. He then graciously accepts the sigs, and begins roasting them after preparing them. |
| #18captainsharFeb 14, 2007 23:27:03 | Very well. Never make silver and gold compete, I say. She lets her glow fade. She also puts gold on the counter. First question, have you got rooms here as well? And second, have you got any suitable for centaurs? She continues sipping her mead. |
| #19zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 23:31:28 | Sorry about the show, and yes, miss... a quick detect thoughts, and a quick scan Waken. Or do you prefer Skydame? Bloody sig, always following me around... *sword through it's head* |
| #20captainsharFeb 14, 2007 23:37:15 | Waken. Or Sir Waken Skydame, Charger of the Heavens, Chief Messenger of the Guild of Paladins. But Waken's good. And your name is? Or Shar or Captain Shar. P.S. I prefer "Sir" to "Dame" as a knightly appellation. Got it from Battlestar Galactica. |
| #21zombiegleemaxFeb 14, 2007 23:49:40 | The one everyone calls me is Crowley. Also known as the Archmage of Fire. |
| #22captainsharFeb 14, 2007 23:59:14 | OOC: Like from Good Omens? That's cool. It would explain the demon vendetta, too. |
| #23zombiegleemaxFeb 15, 2007 0:08:54 | Exactly. Glad you caught the reference. |
| #24TenzhiFeb 15, 2007 1:57:34 | A familiar little old man appears nonchalantly in a dark corner, smoking a long-stemmed pipe. He scowls at the tattered remains of dignity and free will strewn about the Inn and willfully asserts his own with a puff of cinnamon-scented smoke. |
| #25zombiegleemaxFeb 15, 2007 2:20:51 | Tenzhi's sig is blown to bits Tenzhi, good to see you! Gives him a plate of elf-chops. |
| #26TenzhiFeb 15, 2007 2:35:14 | "Thanks, but I'm not hungry," the old man says, taking the proferred plate and dumping the contents swiftly into a hidden pocket. "I just fell through a tesseract, and getting unfolded eight times through four dimensions always ruins my appetite." "Does wonders for the skin, though." |
| #27turalisjFeb 15, 2007 12:22:44 | Thousands of miniature dragons swarm over Tenzhi's sig, reducing it to a quivering mass. The dragon's then pile onto one another, forming the shape of a young adult bronze dragon. Like my new little power? I've had it in the works for a while, but never got around to testing it. |
| #28zombiegleemaxFeb 15, 2007 12:42:35 | Know what you mean, Tenzhi. Always gives me a headache. |
| #29captainsharFeb 15, 2007 15:00:02 | Don't think I've met you, Tenzhi. Care to sit here while you reorient? My name's Waken, and I too tend to jump between planes. Good to see you, Turalisj. The winged centauress glances at the two stools next to her. But perhaps you don't need one either - do dragons sit? Centaurs can but it's not terribly comfortable. |
| #30dyneFeb 15, 2007 15:57:48 | You can hear odd gurgling sounds that seem to be coming from the kitchen. Glancing over, you see that Dyne seems to have fallen asleep with his head face-down in a bowl of soup. With a snort, he suddenly jerks awake, a drowsy look in his eyes, and still covered in soup. "Darnit, this will be a pain getting out of my robes...." He sighs before firing up the oven and beginning to cook. |
| #31zombiegleemaxFeb 15, 2007 16:02:09 | The stools (and other things that might be in the way) scurry away, leaving adequate space for a dragon and a centaur to lie down. When did they become animated? |
| #32dyneFeb 15, 2007 16:07:20 | The stools (and other things that might be in the way) scurry away, leaving adequate space for a dragon and a centaur to lie down. "Yeah, I might've gotten bored one day...." |
| #33zombiegleemaxFeb 15, 2007 16:09:00 | Alright. Just mention it next time, okay? |
| #34captainsharFeb 15, 2007 16:14:49 | Thanks. I really wish I'd gotten the polymorphing ability from my dad...oh well. Waken stretches out her wings to their full twenty-foot span and tucks them back in again, enjoying the extra space. |
| #35TenzhiFeb 16, 2007 0:47:29 | "Oh, I doubt I'll be here long enough to reorient." He pauses for a moment. "See? There I went again. Or maybe you didn't see - that's the hazard of being multiple places at once. I think Crowley could relate to that, though by all appearances he keeps it together more." |
| #36zombiegleemaxFeb 16, 2007 11:33:45 | It's easier when you have one of yourself in a fixed location that acts as a hive mind for the others. A fiendish and fiery wolf leaps upon Tenzhi's sig before adding Like this. |
| #37chrono_nexusFeb 16, 2007 20:14:43 | An incessant pecking noise can be heard from a shuttered window. |
| #38zombiegleemaxFeb 16, 2007 20:17:51 | Crowley opens it, only to be hit by another sig. If this keeps up as it has been, we're going to need to spray. Then he unloads a 12 gauge into said sig, before hiding said shotgun again. ![]() You all saw nothing. |
| #39chrono_nexusFeb 16, 2007 21:10:45 | Narrowly avoiding a slug from a shotgun, Cor turns and flies away in search of a less hostile guild. |
| #40turalisjFeb 16, 2007 21:12:19 | *several gatling guns pop out from the floor, opening fire on the sig* You saw nothing >.> This isn't a guild Chrono, more of a place to relax. |
| #41zombiegleemaxFeb 16, 2007 21:14:45 | The new sig squeaks something unintelligble, then latches onto Crowley. GAH! IT'S BITING MY FACE! I NEED MY EYES FOR SEEING! Sorry about the shotgun blast, and we're not technically a guild. We're an inn that is non canon and uses sigs for food. |
| #42captainsharFeb 17, 2007 14:36:35 | A slim young woman pries the sig off Crowley's face with her rapier, skewering it in the process. She flings it off the end of the rapier, and back towards the kitchen, where it bounces off the doors with a thump. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Captain Shar of the Noumenal Blade. She bows with a flourish. Nice to meet you, Shar, but I was just heading out. And the centauress takes a flying leap out the doors and quickly vanishes into the sky. |
| #43zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 14:49:24 | See you, Waken. And to Shar Thank you for the assistance. First time they've ever attacked someone. What would you like to eat and/or drink? |
| #44captainsharFeb 17, 2007 14:59:22 | I usually like to try whatever's typical in the country I'm visiting, so if you have a house special, I'll have that and some wine. But pretty much anything that isn't stale or salty will do! It's been a long voyage. |
| #45zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 15:04:49 | A table and chair crawl over to Shar. Sig steaks it is, then. He begins chopping up the sig, takes out a tray, and cooks them on that. Then he pulls out a bottle of wine from behind the counter. He includes silverware and a glass Here you go. |
| #46captainsharFeb 17, 2007 15:08:27 | Shar eats the steak, but sniffs suspiciously at the wine. What is this stuff? It smells like my grandpa. Under the light you can see that Shar has a bit of Drow in her; not enough to make her look inhuman, but enough to make her eyes and hair orange, and her skin is a very dark tan. |
| #47turalisjFeb 17, 2007 15:23:18 | Turalisj grinned hungrily, licking his lips. Haven't had fresh drow in a while..... Too bad half-drow tastes like watered down wine. |
| #48zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 15:25:50 | Woops, that's one of Turalisj's bottles. He quickly takes back the bottle and corks it before the label can be read, and takes out another bottle, one that isn't drow. Here's an elven wine. And to Turalisj, he takes a newspaper, rolls it up, and smacks him on the nose with it. No talking about eating the customers! |
| #49captainsharFeb 17, 2007 15:39:08 | I heard that! Want to make something of it? Hmm? And I am NOT half-Drow. My father is half-Drow. I am human. Shar pours herself a glass of the new wine and drinks it off. I'm really hoping Turalisj's character here isn't the same one that signed up with the Guild of Seafarers. Or if he is, this could get fun. |
| #50zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 15:41:37 | It isn't. This is his giant dragon guy. Besides, everything here's non canon, remember? Eh, don't mind him. |
| #51turalisjFeb 17, 2007 15:42:50 | The dragon's form changes and shifts, taking the shape of an aged old elf. Heheheh, guess that means you are a quarter-drow. For all you know, that wine COULD have been your grandfather. |
| #52zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 15:45:29 | Smacks Turalisj with a +1 dragonbane newspaper. Turalisj, am I going to have to smack you with the newspaper again? Or maybe cut off your drowblood for a week or two? |
| #53turalisjFeb 17, 2007 15:53:38 | Zik casts Turalisj's Spaying Serpent's on the siggy and laughs as it shrivels. |
| #54captainsharFeb 17, 2007 15:58:42 | Well! Shar gets up to leave. Perhaps I'll come back when your other guests aren't so rude. Shar throws some money on the table and stalks out, whistling. |
| #55zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 16:15:15 | Way to go. Begins repeatedly smacking Turalisj with the paper for angering the single customer there. |
| #56turalisjFeb 17, 2007 16:17:02 | Meep! Zik explodes in a burst of ectoplasm, dissapearing. |
| #57TenzhiFeb 17, 2007 22:58:27 | "Some people just can't take being sized up as tasty morsels. Despite civilised surroundings, they still find themselves running like prey." The old man pulls out an ancient-looking bamboo mug and passes it to the barkeep. "I'll take a pint of everything, if you please." |
| #58zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 23:08:43 | This is going to take a while... *22,000,000 pints later...* That should be every type of drink we have. Sorry about how little we have, but we're still expecting a shipment... |
| #59TenzhiFeb 17, 2007 23:21:32 | The old one hoists the bamboo mug into the air and eyes it suspiciously as a small creature that may be an offshoot of otyugh leaps out of it, being pursued by an angry foam elemental. Nodding in appreciation, he takes a very long draw from the mug. After three full minutes he pulls away from the mug, his eyebrows singed and strange horns and tentacles sprouting from his skull. "Now that's a smooth drink." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small, shiny, hexagonal coin. He places it on the bar, which creaks under the weight. "A Triganic Pu. I figured you'd prefer it to eight Ningi." |
| #60zombiegleemaxFeb 17, 2007 23:23:47 | Thanks, Tenzhi. He lifts it and pockets it. |
| #61turalisjFeb 17, 2007 23:33:42 | Kitae suddenly appears, a black bladed longsword in hand. With a series of quick movements, he impales Tenzhi's siggy before vanishing. |
| #62zombomaniacFeb 28, 2007 22:18:13 | *fires a shootgun to wake people up* |
| #63captainsharFeb 28, 2007 22:52:52 | Shar strides back in, this time looking completely human, with fair skin and dark hair and eyes, and wearing different clothes. Watch where you're firing, lad! She looks to make sure the drow-eating bronze dragon is not there. |
| #64zombiegleemaxFeb 28, 2007 23:04:32 | Sorry about our sig bouncer. |
| #65captainsharFeb 28, 2007 23:10:01 | Well, even if he is... She reassumes her normal visage. |
| #66zombiegleemaxFeb 28, 2007 23:12:34 | There's a trick to him: just smack him with a newspaper repeatedly and he leaves.:D |
| #67captainsharFeb 28, 2007 23:20:00 | Shar orders a tall pint and sits in the corner, making herself look slightly more rugged; the epitome of an "old salt." Sometimes people tell me interesting stories when I do this. |
| #68zombiegleemaxFeb 28, 2007 23:34:10 | Brings the pint over. Really? I'd think they'd come to you to listen to yours in that disguise, not the other way around. |
| #69captainsharMar 01, 2007 17:14:09 | But how would I add to my repertoire if I did not listen first? I always repay a story with a story, though. |
| #70zombiegleemaxMar 01, 2007 17:16:53 | I'm just saying it seems like it would is all. |
| #71captainsharMar 07, 2007 22:40:11 | A young winged elf enters the inn in a soft glow of light, holding a small reflective stone. She looks at herself in surprise, then looks up at the guests. Hey, everybody, it's me! I just picked this up outside and was remembering what I looked like as an elf, and, uh, I guess that's what I turned into. She puts the stone on a table and immediately flicks back into centaur form. She looks back at the stone. She picks it up again, and she's the elf again. Hmm. Well, how are you all doing? About as non-canon as you can get...is there any actual magic item that lets you polymorph? |
| #72zombiegleemaxMar 07, 2007 22:42:16 | There probably are. At least a few that are specific polymorphing (armors that allow dragon forms, things like that). Anyway... Hey, Waken. What do you want to eat? |
| #73captainsharMar 07, 2007 22:45:45 | Mmm, nothing to eat right now. A bowl of ambrosia? While she's waiting, she knots a cord around the stone and slips it over her head. How's it going, Shar? And how's the inn doing, Dalion? Just fine. You know you could sit down if you want to? Oh, right. Oh, now you made me think about it again! And she falls against the counter, catching herself on the edge. She pulls herself onto a stool eventually, while Shar laughs quietly. Waken gets on and shoots Shar a triumphant look. Shar just smiles and nods. |
| #74zombiegleemaxMar 07, 2007 22:49:18 | Bar's been doing fine. Just been quiet. Never thought I'd say it, but I wish Sssargoth'd come around and use cone of lobsters... hint hint.:D |
| #75captainsharMar 07, 2007 22:54:10 | Well, I won't deny that elves are pretty, but I don't see why anyone would be one if they could help it. You can't stand, you can't gallop, you can't wrestle worth anything, you scrape your feet...what is this good for? You see that she's wearing the blue-shirt black-pants outfit, but forgot to imagine herself any boots. |
| #76zombiegleemaxMar 07, 2007 22:56:27 | Because we prefer our own forms, when it comes down to it. Just like you like yours better than the one you're in. I just also like giving other races chances while I'm at it. |
| #77captainsharMar 07, 2007 23:00:51 | But what can you do like that that you couldn't do better as a centaur? The only good thing I can think of about this is that I can sit here and not crush the stool because I weigh hardly anything. (I'm guessing the aerial elves are hollow-boned.) |
| #78TenzhiMar 07, 2007 23:05:40 | Well, I won't deny that elves are pretty, but I don't see why anyone would be one if they could help it. You can't stand, you can't gallop, you can't wrestle worth anything, you scrape your feet...what is this good for? "It's Good Eats!(TM)" yells a voice from a dark corner, the phrase being mysteriously followed by a trademark catchy piece of music. |
| #79captainsharMar 07, 2007 23:11:05 | Waken turns to look at the stranger, her instinct for danger awakened. She subconsciously shifts back to centaur form with all her armor and her sword in her hand, crushing the stool under her. Who's there? OK, night all. |
| #80zombiegleemaxMar 07, 2007 23:12:53 | A ninja comes out of nowhere and kills Tenzhi's sig. Hey Tenzhi! Come on over, I know that's you. and to Waken: Ask a centaur if they could get a ride somewhere? Also, easier to work in the kitchen this way. (Night, Shar.) |
| #81TenzhiMar 07, 2007 23:22:28 | The old man steps out of the shadows carrying a Wokenspiel which is used to both cook and play the musical bit - no unitaskers here. |
| #82zombiegleemaxMar 07, 2007 23:25:24 | How ya doing, Tenzhi? And meet Shar and Waken. Waken, Shar, meet Tenzhi, the Elf-Bane. So, want anything to eat, Tenzhi? |
| #83turalisjMar 07, 2007 23:31:10 | thousands of small bronze dragon effigies fly in from an open door, dive bombing Tenzhi's sig and exploding. |
| #84TenzhiMar 07, 2007 23:31:45 | Pocketing his Wokenspiel, the old man replies, "I'm in the mood for Sun & Moon Stir Fry with steamed rice, but I'll take just about anything." |
| #85zombiegleemaxMar 07, 2007 23:36:25 | Got it. He pulls out a couple nondescript jars, and begins working on the order. Upon the arrival of the divebombing dragons. Oh good, Turalisj's back. One of the dragons hits a sig that followed him |
| #86captainsharMar 08, 2007 10:21:41 | Hello Tenzhi. As you can see, I'm not an elf really. She switches back to elf form - but this time in midair so she can just keep hovering. But I'm trying the look. Ride? That would be funny. And yes, I suppose it's easier to work in the kitchen if the kitchen's made for Mediums. Oh, and I forgot about the dancing. That works better like this. So I guess this is better for normal life, but there's no way you're convincing me this is better for combat. Which when I was in school and in the army, was normal life. |
| #87zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 11:24:35 | Depends on the where. In open spaces, yours is better, but in enclosed areas, the advantage is in smaller forms. More space to maneuver. |
| #88captainsharMar 08, 2007 12:01:29 | Shar fixes the stool. Aye, on a ship you'd get caught in the rigging. Hmm. Well, maybe I should learn to use this form then. If you want to give me a hand, Shar? Sure. Shar gets up and holds Waken steady as the two walk around the inn. |
| #89zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 12:39:37 | Once you get used to other forms, they can really be quite fun. He comes out shortly, the elf stir fry done. Here's your order, Tenzhi. |
| #90captainsharMar 08, 2007 12:55:29 | Look, I've got it! Waken walks without holding onto anything, still using her wings a bit for balance, but gaining confidence. |
| #91zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 13:26:41 | Congrats, you've passed the first lesson on shapeshifting. Pulls a zanpaku-to (see Bleach manga) and yells Ban-kai. The resulting move shreds a new sig. |
| #92captainsharMar 08, 2007 13:32:19 | Waken sits on the newly mended stool. So why's this place called the Blue Lizard? |
| #93zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 13:47:15 | Don't know. The original owner was Bronzebeard, but he got called into service. Besides whatever reason he had, its now because he named it that. |
| #94captainsharMar 08, 2007 13:56:06 | Inheritance is a good enough reason as most, I suppose. Hey, since there aren't many people in here right now, mind if Shar and I do a little sword-fighting? I think I might find my feet quicker if I can do something I'm used to. Besides, I've got to learn how to use this. And she pulls out the double-bladed scimitar. |
| #95zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 14:16:40 | If Tenzhi doesn't mind the show, go ahead. |
| #96captainsharMar 08, 2007 14:27:36 | Shar and Waken circle each other in the center of the floor, Shar holding a rapier in one hand and a light mace in the other, and Waken with the double-scimitar. Shar takes the offence first, and Waken whirls the blades around, blocking her. Then Waken advances, charging straight toward Shar, who jumps out of the way. Waken anticipated this, however, and catches Shar in a quick curve, spilling her onto a table. Shar leaps up and swings on a rope she's just made tie itself to the ceiling rafter, swinging right into Waken and kicking her over. Waken goes down, but she jumps up again with a flap of her wings and severs the rope, causing Shar to fall to the ground again. Shar lands lightly and advances again, tumbling to avoid Waken's blow. Waken backs Shar into a corner, who manages to leap straight up and land behind Waken; she presses Waken into the wall. Waken lashes out with her back legs, which happen to be her only legs at the moment; she's stuck. Shar chuckles and lets Waken up. Not bad. I won, of course, but not bad, kid. Waken rubs her foot where she banged it against the wall. She takes the challenge. I'll win yet. (Class now.) |
| #97zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 14:31:55 | (See you.) Not bad. |
| #98captainsharMar 08, 2007 17:37:55 | Breathing from the exercise, Waken returns to her seat. Okay, now I'm hungry. |
| #99zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 19:11:53 | So what do you want to eat? |
| #100orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 19:40:38 | A large, ancient looking green half orc shuffles his way into the bar. He stretches his one living arm and rubs it with his metallic left one. Taking a seat he orders up some orcish Kraag and slaps himself across the face, looking very sleepy. "I tell ya... I'm gettin to old for this stuff." Orcy's picture for reference... (old orcy) |
| #101zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 19:45:01 | Orcy! Been a while. How've things been? He gets the orcish Kraag quickly. |
| #102orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 19:49:30 | "Been alright, been alright. Old bones are aching a bit, and it seems organizing things takes quite a while. People just don't move too quickly these days. Holdin things up, askin too many questions! Ah, where are the days when they used to beat on eachother to end arguments eh? Orcy's poor arena..." |
| #103zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 19:55:56 | Well, we have a rather large skygge here, so that should be coming back soon...maybe after an adventure to go either kill a random generic giant monster or a few nests of kythons, the bug things, not the chain devils. There will be violence either way if you want to join in with an avatar...Arcanus and the Knights could use a come back, in my opinion. Or a grand reopening of the Arena, back to the simple days of two people or beating the crap outta each other! Even I could participate this time! |
| #104orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 20:01:11 | "Eh, takes a bit running a country after a war with the Dromkarians. Everyones lookin ta you because yer the strongest. Ah well, gives me the chance ta give folks a hand. Just wish they'd be a bit more nice about it, the Darkwood Council seems to think Orcy here owes em everything. It was MY knights that saved their sorry butts, bah! Ah well. Orcy hears theres quite a bit of things going on down in the southern lands of Ogbanar. Guilds and whatnot rising up to take over the city down there. Made Orcy think of this place and all the eh... 'fun' times we had here with that insane halfer... yeah... Orcy isn't sure why he stopped by come to think of it. Perhaps the old age made him forget all about the whole lotta crazy that goes on round here." Orcy takes the Kraag and tips the mug back, downing half of it and grunting. He shudders and coughs for a moment. "Strrroooong stuff. Make a human gag... make an elf green and si... more sickly." |
| #105zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 20:08:00 | Really? He takes a drink of another bottle of the stuff. He turns green. You're right! Hahaha... he looks a little crosseyed. Haven't been able to get drunk in years! Wan' me to drop by and cause some chaos? I'll let your people drive me off after some havoc...remind'em who they owe. |
| #106orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 20:11:26 | "A war just ended, theres chaos enough as it is! Kingdoms splittin, people dead or dyin, rebuildin from the fighting. Don't really need more chaos. But like Orcy said, theres lots goin on down in the Sajenda region, lotta guilds fighitn over control of the city down there. Wouldn't be suprised if they get stronger than whats left of the kings... whatever they call themselves down there." |
| #107zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 20:16:31 | Well, hope things go well for you, and if you need anyone to cause some chaos and scare'em with fire, you know you can always ask me. |
| #108captainsharMar 08, 2007 20:25:47 | Seeing that Dalion's now drunk, Waken wanders into the kitchen to get a slice of bread for herself, hoping that at least that item is not too hard to find amidst the strange meats all over the place. Wait...Orcy's game and this place are crossovers? I do have a half-celestial elf paladin over there. This could get odd. |
| #109zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 20:32:12 | Somewhat. Orcy's game is after the last incarnation, possibly running at the same time as this. So your half celestial elf could make a crossover, if you wanted . A fiendish elemental wolf comes out of the kitchen, holding a plate in its mouth with food on it. Hereh youfh goh. The wolf hands Waken the plate. Geh, the plates don't taste good...and I didn't say you could be drunk, Dal... Dalion sobers up immediately. Aw...but me... No buts, me. You might be me, but I won't cut you any slack. A four armed fiend comes out of the basement holding a broom. This is another old thing. |
| #110orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 20:32:37 | (There really isn't a crossover anything... this place is just used for... well... everything. Its always been a sort of OOC/IC place) Orcy drinks down the rest of his mug and slams it down on the counter. He stretches again and looks toward the door. "Wonder how long this is gonna take... hmm... maybe I should work on something else to keep folks busy..." |
| #111captainsharMar 08, 2007 20:35:00 | Thanks, er, Dalion? Did you get bitten by a werewolf sometime in your past as well? And then make a clone of yourself? What's up with this? She begins to eat the food hungrily, still eyeing the strange things in the kitchen. Am I allowed to be back here? Calling to Orcy: Oh, hello. I'm Waken Skydame. And she shifts into centaur form, knocking a few pans down with her outstretched, 20-ft. span wings. To Dalion: I see what you mean about kitchens. She quickly picks up the pans and replaces them, but knocks over a barrel. Oops. She shifts back to elf form. |
| #112zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 20:41:44 | This was an...interesting idea from the last time I died. Multiple bodies, multiple consciousnesses, one soul. Wolf, oni, elemental, hivemind, a kython, a human clone of Gurney Halleck as some petty vengeance, was working on a dragon... The Oni comes over Got it, me. It picks up the barrel. The wolf mauls another sig (they seem to be following Dal, lately...) |
| #113orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 20:46:19 | Orcy waves to Waken with his metal arm. "Hey there, names Kabel, but everyone called me Orcy, Orcy the Green Wonder. Skydame huh? That like, Dame of the sky or something? Like, sky chick or whatever ya'd like ta call it? Hmm... interesting. Ah, I'm ramblin again... must be the old age. Anyway, Crowley has had more forms that appear from nowhere in random places that it makes no sense him being in than anybody I know." |
| #114zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 20:53:19 | The wolf speaks up What can I say, I like chaos more than evil. And I always supplied a how-people just never care. Though I've put a stop to that anywhere else but here. Now they're just used to clean and help run the place. Also, Kabel? I never knew that...you never mentioned it. |
| #115captainsharMar 08, 2007 20:54:45 | But this one's the real one? How do I know which one I'm friends with then? To Orcy: The Green Wonder? I like that. But my last name means more like Sky Knight. It's the feminine form of Sir. But you can still call me Sir. In fact I prefer it. I am Sir Waken Skydame, Charger of the Heavens, of Arborea, of Celestia, Chief Messenger of the Guild of Paladins, and Lady of King's Pyre. I think that's about it. She gets back into the open area and switches back to centaur form to lend a little more weight to her title. |
| #116zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 20:59:27 | Yeah, I'm the real one. It was more a way to work with this plane and mess with people. The oni puts the barrel on yet another sig (I really have to work on turning them off). |
| #117captainsharMar 08, 2007 21:04:42 | An afterthought, to Orcy: But definitely not chick. Centaurs don't hatch. I have some very cute baby hippogriffs that do, though. To Dalion: Ah, okay. Just like I can't polymorph at will outside of here... and she becomes the elf yet again I won't run into these guys other places. Probably just as good. I don't want to be hunting a deer and have it turn around and claim to be you. |
| #118zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 21:06:39 | As for these guys, exactly. As for the deer thing...that might still happen...I do know polymorph, after all. |
| #119captainsharMar 08, 2007 21:10:45 | What's the funniest thing you've ever turned into? |
| #120zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 21:18:13 | Hm...it might sound cliche, but a monkey. I turned into a monkey to have an excuse to get their brand of vengeance on someone. |
| #121captainsharMar 08, 2007 21:20:42 | Who was it? And, now that I have this stone here, why don't I try turning into different things? You might have to help me, though, if it's anything as different as this is. She indicates her bare feet. |
| #122orcy_the_green_wonderMar 08, 2007 21:22:36 | "A hamster, Gurgetar was quite a jokester when he ascended. It took me a week to get someone to listen to me and change me back. But yes, Kabel is my name. I am Kabel, Lord Knight of the Knights Von Drache, high Councilor of the Darkwood Alliance, Lord of the Mountain Top Arena. Also, probably the oldest half orc currently living. Ah titles, how fun they are to throw around!" Orcy laughs loudly and slaps his leg, rolling his shoulders and looking around the bar. |
| #123zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 21:24:33 | Devil drill sergeant after I got out of boot camp. And to other forms Sure-changing forms has always been fun. and at the mention of Gurgetar He was a fun one. Definitely enjoyed hamster spells a lot. |
| #124captainsharMar 08, 2007 21:25:34 | You must have some fine stories then, Kabel. Shar speaks up from her corner of the room. She's a human with a bit of Drow in her, and wears a violet coat, scarlet pants, shiny black boots, one gold earring, and a rapier. Can I try being a fire elemental? To see what it feels like? Would that be too hard to adjust to? But wait, you were in the army too? By choice or by draft - or by slavery? Did you ever assault Celestia? |
| #125zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 21:30:01 | Hell's Ninth. And at that point, every time I enlisted was by choice. Never assaulted Celestia-I made it abundantly clear I only kill demons. And since we're here... You are now a fire elemental. Go nuts, Waken. Just stay away from non-alcoholic liquids. |
| #126captainsharMar 08, 2007 21:34:52 | In a mischeivous hiss: But I can play with the alcoholic onessss? She opens a bottle of gin and sets it on fire. Now thissss I could see being good for combat. She jumps over the counter and advances on Dalion. But not against you, you're still fireproof. |
| #127zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 21:40:00 | Yep.:D Also, cold spells and water would hurt you. He takes a glass of water and pours it on a lit candle, to prove his point. |
| #128captainsharMar 08, 2007 21:43:01 | Right before reaching him she switches back to elf form, staggering forward but not falling. Hmm. I wonder if the "evils" wouldn't sound so evil if they weren't mostly all linked to fire. All that hissing and crackling contributes quite a bit to the effect. |
| #129zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 21:49:12 | Nah-the lisp's as optional for creatures of fire as anyone else. |
| #130captainsharMar 08, 2007 22:04:39 | But still; I'm glad you won't cut off your own head anymore. She smiles. |
| #131zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 22:11:35 | Handy survival mechanism, being able to survive without a head. Takes away a whole method of killing you. |
| #132captainsharMar 08, 2007 22:14:28 | But I don't like seeing it cut off. Just think what watching self-mutilation does to a healer. |
| #133zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 22:24:35 | Point. Just saying, though, handy survival mechanism in combat. |
| #134captainsharMar 08, 2007 22:30:55 | Waken sighs. Yes, yes. I understand. I suppose it's similarly disturbing to other people to see me flying around in a thunder-and-lighting storm, snowstorm, and firestorm. I concede the point. But combat isn't everything. Why do you think I'm looking like this? |
| #135zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 22:46:05 | Cause you want to try new things. But anyway, I won't be doing it again any time soon, or (hopefully) having it done to me any time soon, so no worries. Also, I was more evil at the time. I was required to be more disturbing, either by hacking off other people's limbs and killing other people en masse, like Kitae does, or showing off my own invulnerabilities in strange and horrific to watch ways, otherwise I'd have to deal with pit fiend lawyers and a few dozen evil malpractice suits. Now that I'm less evil, I don't fall under that part. |
| #136TenzhiMar 08, 2007 22:54:03 | Picks at his food with a pair of jade chopsticks. As he does so the small chunks of meat change into miniature elves and try to flee from his chopsticks, screaming, but remain confined to his plate. |
| #137zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 22:56:24 | Wolf bites Tenzhi's sig. It begins inflating, then pops. Mmm, elf. |
| #138captainsharMar 08, 2007 22:59:38 | I suppose less evil might add up to more good, so good. But I'm getting tired balancing like this, or even balancing on a stool. I think I'm going to sit down on the floor. She goes back around to the other side of the counter and sits on the floor. |
| #139zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 23:07:46 | Alright. You're making good progress for your first day as a shapeshifter. |
| #140captainsharMar 08, 2007 23:12:59 | Does the inn have rooms too? I'm not sleepy yet, but it might be fun to actually stay in a normal room. I usually stay at the stables in humanoid lands - it's the only place big enough where I also won't break the stairs going up them. |
| #141TenzhiMar 08, 2007 23:18:32 | The old man speaks up, an elf wriggling in the grasp of his chopsticks, "You should visit the mountain dwarves some time. They make doors and stairs large enough and sturdy enough for dragons to traverse their halls." |
| #142captainsharMar 08, 2007 23:21:15 | I might have to try it - but are the accommodations tall as well as strong? In my natural shape I am over seven feet tall. |
| #143TenzhiMar 08, 2007 23:26:07 | "Those dwarves have a tendency to overdo things like that. That's why ettins and ogres can easily settle down in dwarven keeps." |
| #144turalisjMar 08, 2007 23:28:31 | A trio of mini-mindbolds ride by in a limosine and gun down Tenzhi's sig. Tch, the mindbold mafia strikes again! |
| #145captainsharMar 08, 2007 23:32:06 | That gives me an idea then... Oh, hi Turalisj. No picking on Shar this time - I'm here too. Like I need help from you, kid? Remember what happened half an hour ago? Hey, I was trying something new. |
| #146zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 23:35:21 | Yes, and considering the assortment of people we normally get here The stairs readjust to let Waken fit easily, as well as turn into a ramp. Issues like that have been taken care of. And to T You won't cause trouble again, right? *Lifts newspaper menacingly* |
| #147captainsharMar 08, 2007 23:44:05 | Well, I was going to try walking up the stairs as a last effort before bed tonight - but on second thought maybe I'll save that for another time. (She is currently still in winged elf form.) |
| #148TenzhiMar 08, 2007 23:49:23 | Tenzhi raises his prodigious eyebrows queriously, "Me, cause trouble? Never. Or did you mean to address the smaller t rather than the capital?" |
| #149zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2007 23:55:40 | Sorry, that was meant for Turalisj. |
| #150turalisjMar 09, 2007 9:42:43 | The mindbolds drive by again, gunning down Tenzhi's sig. Again. |
| #151captainsharMar 09, 2007 15:26:03 | Waken yawns. I'm tired now. Will I actually fall asleep as an elf, or just meditate, I wonder? Anyway, I'm going to try sleeping on an actual mattress. She flies up the ramp. Shar dodges mindbolds. |
| #152zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 15:27:14 | A cheese golem comes out of the kitchen For the cheese yakuza! And then begins firing on the mindbolds. See, the stuff like this is normal. |
| #153captainsharMar 09, 2007 15:29:11 | That's fine by me. Shar leaps up and grabs the chandelier and swings clear across the inn on it, landing like a cat on the far side. Never pass up a good chandelier. |
| #154orcy_the_green_wonderMar 09, 2007 15:48:16 | A small undead hand appears from thin air and points to the ground, a small arena appearing in the middle of the floor. Orcy is suddenly transported into a throne at the side of the arena, much larger than the tiny arena itself. In the center of the arena, a pair of hamsters, armored and carrying spears or swords walk out of small doorways and smack their shields with their weapons. Orcy blinks, looking down at the arena then up at the celing, shaking his metal fist. "Curse you, you crazy goblin! Who the hell decided to make you a god anyway!?" |
| #155captainsharMar 09, 2007 15:50:43 | Shar causes colored beads to shower onto the hamsters. What god's this? |
| #156orcy_the_green_wonderMar 09, 2007 15:54:23 | The hamsters shake their tiny weapons at Shar then charge eachother and begin fighting in gladitorial combat. Sword clashing off shield and spear deflected by sword, the hamsters circle eachother, attacking and backing off repeatedly. "Who else? That crazy goblin lich Gurgetar. Hes some sorta god of goodly undead or something, whatever the hell he calls himself. Hes got a thing for hamsters, and used to turn people into them when he was alive... well... un-alive." |
| #157zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 15:58:12 | Think I should call deity control? Also, five gold on the one with the spear. |
| #158captainsharMar 09, 2007 16:01:57 | That reminds me of the time I encountered an island, full, not of hamsters, but of rabbits. There were so many rabbits there that it was impossible to set foot on the island without crushing five or six and being set upon by forty or fifty more. And all the inhabitants of the island ever did was to sit in little houseboats around the shore, and catch the rabbits that fell off the island, to eat. When I asked them why there were so many rabbits, they said that one time the passenger vessel of a great lord and his family had landed on the island to resupply. The islanders were kind to this family, and in return, the youngest son gave them two of his pet rabbits as a gift. Now, the rabbits soon escaped from the islanders, and found that the grass on the island agreed with them immensely, and the grass found that rabbit droppings agreed with it immensely. And the so the grass and the rabbits grew and multiplied until all the villagers could do was stay in their houses, for fear of the rabbits. Eventually the rabbits reached right to the tops of their roofs, and so the people broke them off, turned them upside-down, and rowed right out on top of the rabbits to the sea. |
| #159zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 16:09:32 | That gives me an idea... He goes into the back room, and comes out with a rabbit that he puts in the arena. Your new task...defeat the vorpal bunny!:evillaugh |
| #160orcy_the_green_wonderMar 09, 2007 16:12:01 | The hamsters stop their fighting dance and turn towards the rabbit. The spear holding one hefting his spear upward and hurling it at the rabbit. It then draws a tiny short sword and in a squeaky voice shouts. "Prepare for glory!" The hamsters charge the rabbit with sword and shield! |
| #161zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 16:15:46 | But it is for naught, for the one thing, the only thing, that can slay a vorpal bunny, has been lost for ages...until the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch appears in the hands of one of the hamsters. |
| #162orcy_the_green_wonderMar 09, 2007 16:21:01 | The hamsters quicky sqeak up a battle strategy. The spear weilder rushes forward taking up it's spear and leaps into the rabbit's mouth, keeping it open by sticking it's spear in vertically. The other reads the instructions and pulls the pin. "One... two... two and a half... two and three quarters... three!" The hamster lets the hand grenade fly then dives for cover. The spear weilder leaping from the mouth of the rabbit just as the grenade goes in. it quickly ducks behind it's shield! |
| #163zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 16:25:08 | And the rabbit becomes roast rabbit. Delicious roast rabbit. |
| #164orcy_the_green_wonderMar 09, 2007 16:26:44 | The hamster behind the shield is flung backward, stumbling to his feet as the rabbit is cooked. He leans heavily on his sheild as the other hamster approaches. The sword weilder sheaths his blade and cheers! Patting the other on the back, and then helps the spear weilder limp out of the arena. |
| #165zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 16:27:56 | Its the shows like this that made me miss this place. |
| #166captainsharMar 09, 2007 17:11:32 | Bravo, bravo. Any of you boys looking for a job? Fighting rats? |
| #167captainsharMar 09, 2007 22:40:07 | You hear a sudden scream and a crash from upstairs. Shar rushes up. Waken! A moment later the two come back down the ramp, Waken in almost her centaur form, but she seems to be subtly flaming as well, and looking rather shaken and not quite awake. |
| #168zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 22:45:15 | What's wrong, Waken? |
| #169captainsharMar 09, 2007 22:48:19 | I had a, a, She breaks off again and looks down at herself, black and flaming. She yanks off the new amulet and returns to normal. Ugggh. |
| #170zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 22:52:44 | He knows the look too well-and her as well. The dragon. Nightmare? Yeah...dreams and polymorphing can lead to...interesting things. But the dragon isn't here. Except maybe as part of the chili. |
| #171captainsharMar 09, 2007 22:55:23 | Yeah, I know. But it wasn't the usual dream. I've lived with that one for years, got it down to waking up in a cold sweat, usually. This is a new one. It was worse. |
| #172orcy_the_green_wonderMar 09, 2007 22:57:29 | A hamster crawls out of the pot of chili and belches, sliding down the pot on the outside and wabbling on the counter top. "What... *belch* chili?" |
| #173zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 22:57:52 | Worse? How so? And to the hamster Okay, was part of the chili. Better? |
| #174captainsharMar 09, 2007 23:05:12 | You looked like you did that one time in the snow. You know, a nightmare. And we were dancing again - I don't exactly know how, because we were both centaurs, but you know how dreams are. And then...you turned into the dragon again. The big red dragon, that same one from my old dream. Except, instead of it being that we were fighting it and Anrod got killed, I, I let it carry me. Even though Anrod was telling me not to. And it raised me up in its claw and gave me a wicked look and said - "You fool, never trust a demon," and I started twisting around trying to get out, but I couldn't. And then the dragon s-squished me just like Anrod, and everything went black. And then I woke up. I think I broke something up there. |
| #175zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 23:12:08 | Eh, it'll fix itself. He looks her in the eye. It is only natural to fear what I may be...but the best I can do is assure you, I am no demon. I wouldn't hurt you, Waken. |
| #176captainsharMar 09, 2007 23:25:32 | Shar pats her on the back. Everything's okay now. Quietly, to herself: Wish my dreams were that lively. I've tried to trust you. It's just, there's always this part of me I can't get rid of, that just won't. Poor gal can never turn off her "detect evil" all the way, huh? Oh, I don't know. Waken becomes bitterly sarcastic, rising to a yell. Maybe it's that, and the fact that I fought against demons and devils every day for years, demons who if they would catch you would first desecrate anything holy you owned, then torture your body, then, if they couldn't make you afraid, drive you insane or enslave you. And more dishonorable than being captured was going willingly, because they had tricked you into thinking they loved you. Erinyes and succubi were the downfall of more than heaven would like to admit. |
| #177zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 23:33:10 | Preaching to the choir. He takes on his old form-all of it. Remember? Tortured, driven insane, fought against one side every day for ten milennia. He turns back. Remember, I've fought for a long time. I know what you speak of. |
| #178TenzhiMar 09, 2007 23:40:35 | "Not that the good guys run things much better. They're just cleaner and shinier, and more uptight about it all. Mostly. Some of those Ysgardians can be a bit rough, though." "Two sides of the same coin. And each denying it more fervently than the other. Pah." |
| #179zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 23:42:16 | A swarm of Hamartans takes out Tenzhi's sig. |
| #180captainsharMar 09, 2007 23:49:04 | Waken quiets a moment. I, I'm sorry. Then she sounds angry. Why did we have to be born on opposite sides of this stupid war?!? And she starts crying. |
| #181zombiegleemaxMar 09, 2007 23:56:18 | We weren't. He grins a little. If we were born full bloods, then you might be able to say that with some truth to it. But we weren't. We are part mortal, and part immortal. My heritage has no loyalties tied to it. Otherwise, what I've been selling Tenzhi would be a whole lot worse. As would this. He pulls out his father's head. I use it as a soccer ball and to disable traps. |
| #182TenzhiMar 09, 2007 23:59:38 | "That's right. Not everything that stinks of Evil necessarily is. And that goes for the stench of Good, too." "But old person smell - that's Neutral all the way." |
| #183zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:00:42 | With a few deft moves, Dal makes some sig steaks with a flaming knife. Who wants some? |
| #184captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:01:00 | Waken laughs a little in between tears. May-maybe that's one good thing about being born a half-breed with questionable legitimacy. I never really saw an a-advantage to it. You know, all the funny looks, and not being in any official reg-registries of Ce-Celestia. |
| #185orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 0:01:11 | Orcy's metal arm rises up from behind the bar where he apparently passed out. A glass of Kraag rests in the hand and his voice comes from somewhere on the floor. "Here here! HOOAH!" |
| #186zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:03:19 | Better to be a half celestial in heaven than a half demon on earth. The oni picks Orcy up and puts him back on the stool. Our policy is to serve people drinks til they pass out three times in a row.:D |
| #187orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 0:04:50 | "I didn't pass out, I'm just old! Whadda ya want from me!" |
| #188zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:06:01 | To sell you enough alcohol to make you pass out three times in a row. This place's expensive, after all. |
| #189captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:08:55 | But I bet the Celestials care a lot more about whether your father actually married your mother. I mean, on Arborea he was as much a husband to her as anyone was to anyone else, but he never legitimized us by his own standards. She shakes her head. Although being hunted by good must be more disturbing than being hunted by evil. She chuckles. What an odd pair we make. |
| #190zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:11:57 | True. Bet they also look into if both sides were willing, but I don't like speaking of how illegitimate my birth was. Also true to the other two. |

| #192captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:16:57 | Waken notes the tension in his voice, in the midst of the music. I'm sorry. I keep forgetting that everything I'm complaining about has happened ten times as worse and a hundred times as long to you. |

| #194zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:19:11 | I think we can skip this gag. You missed the Fantasy Island bit I had planned at the beginning of the CotP, by the way. Changed to look like Ricardo Montalban, had Ta'tu, the whole thing. @Waken: Forget about it. Just means I can empathize. And to our newest arrival: Welcome to the Blue Lizard, kid. Please check your sanity at the door with your coat. |

Anyway, enough about how ugly she was... which was very. She and a strange human who I'm told wasn't bad looking managed to eh... well. Get together. Now their kids are the twin gods of war. Strange turn of events I know, but after the ascension of some of them great heroes and whatnot that made the gods what they are, I stayed outta that one myself, they rose up as gods. So you see... even if your a hideous orc and a crazy human psion... at least your kids can be gods." Orcy takes another drink and downs it. "Of course, I might just be a few too deep." |

| #202TenzhiMar 10, 2007 0:30:04 | "And then there was St. Igor of Frankenstein. Contemptible little hunchback. Proved that the dead can walk if you hit them with enough lightning. Made quite a lot of noise, that one. Always wore tweed. I never understood tweed - itchy cloth, named after a river. Almost as bad as twill. "Anyhow, the point is that lightning shouldn't wear pants except when it's grounded." The old man suddenly realizes he took his hands off of the spatula-hammers while they were playing, and grabs them again in mid-song with all the nonchalance of a preening housecat. |
| #203orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 0:31:45 | (Orcy's game is always open to new players, it is set up so that players can go on adventures with whomever they please that has a character. | #204zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:31:50 | We'll have to check. The stools become a dentist's chair, and he peers into Faithful's ear. There it is. He pulls out something amorphous. Now you're covered. |
| #205captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:34:52 | What are you talking about, Tenzhi? |
| #206zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:34:58 | (Orcy's game is always open to new players, it is set up so that players can go on adventures with whomever they please that has a character. | #207orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 0:37:01 | "Lightning shouldn't wear pants, don't you listen? It does make sense, I mean, think about it. If lightning wore pants that would make it a liar, because they would be on fire. Now, we know that lightning doesn't like to be liars, so obviously it shouldn't wear pants. Nor should hamsters carry swords, but that happens... result of that crazy lich. Bah... goblins should never be made into gods." |
| #208zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:38:45 | Most people don't realize it until its gone. And to Waken (and by extension, Orcy, because of his response So that means I'm not a liar since I don't accidentaly light my pants on fire anymore? |
| #209captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:40:47 | Ah. Come to think of it, maybe we're not so strange compared to everyone else around here. She thinks of something and starts laughing again. |
| #210zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:43:18 | There's precedent, at least. I know a pit fiend and solar who're married. Considering that there's at least one god in this room, we aren't strange at all. So what's funny this time? |
| #211captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:45:00 | Huh. But they only have two races to deal with. Can you imagine...? Elf, Centaur, Angel, Demon - what would that even be? |
| #212TenzhiMar 10, 2007 0:45:33 | What are you talking about, Tenzhi? "Well, there was a point there about rising above one's roots, but I lost it halfway through. I'm sure it wasn't important." |
| #213zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:49:03 | Interesting? And ninja hamsters take out Tenzhi's sig this time. So what was funny that time? |
| #214orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 0:49:06 | "I remember meeting a massive tarrasque hybrid once, he had more races in him than anything I'd ever seen. Not eaten mind you, but in ancestry. Why, I think he had some mind flayer, tentacle beasts of some horrid pit somewhere, probably some dragon. It didn't even have a name, they just called it YEGODSNO!" |
| #215zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 0:50:45 | Sounds about right for a creation of epic mages who're bored on a weekend. They never can get enough of messing with the tarrasque... |
| #216captainsharMar 10, 2007 0:56:56 | Oh, just the idea of the poor kids... She looks solemn for a moment, then bursts out laughing again. (Night all) |
| #217orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 0:58:52 | Orcy slowly rises to his feet, bones cracking as he moves and groans with old age-ed-ness. He wanders over to Waken and pokes her a few times with his metallic arm. "I think we broke her." |
| #218captainsharMar 10, 2007 1:00:32 | She bats him away, still laughing. In between laughs, she says: No, no. Very hard to break a Paladin. |
| #219TenzhiMar 10, 2007 1:00:36 | The old man switches tunes to It's Not Easy Being Green. |
| #220orcy_the_green_wonderMar 10, 2007 1:04:38 | Orcy shrugs and drinks a mug that he pulls off of a nearby table. "Sure, but I could do it. If it weren't so hard being green. Then again, it isn't that hard, but it isn't easy. Being green that is... not eh... something else. Where was I? Ah yes, green... and wondrous." Orcy turns and heads back to the bar. |
| #221zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 1:06:55 | Must resist urge to summon the Frog... |
| #222TenzhiMar 10, 2007 1:17:08 | "Summon the frog, you say? Alright..." The old man bites off his thumb, spraying red dust everywhere that somehow mystically forms itself into a magical seal as he places his palm on the ground and shouts: "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" At which point a chest-burster appears with tophat and cane, singing Hello My Baby, and dances off stage left. "Hrm. That wasn't quite right somehow." |
| #223zombiegleemaxMar 10, 2007 1:22:24 | Thanks. He's been late to work lately. |
| #224captainsharMar 10, 2007 12:35:19 | Well, now that I've thoroughly embarrassed myself in front of everybody, I think I'll have a drink. She takes one and passes the table with the amulet, looking at it but not picking it up, and stands at Shar's table, with her drink. |
| #225zombiegleemaxMar 11, 2007 23:21:12 | Right. Anyway, what can I do to entertain... Its about now that Shiny wanders in. Guess I won't have to. Shiny's still holding the rod of wonder. What should I target... |
| #226captainsharMar 11, 2007 23:25:09 | Dalion! |
| #227zombiegleemaxMar 11, 2007 23:29:43 | Shiny targets Dalion. Confetti! Now there's an elephant in the room, which expands to meet the new creature's size. ...Who wants to try and drink the elephant under the table? |
| #228turalisjMar 11, 2007 23:32:34 | "Summon the frog, you say? Alright..." Hey, only I'm allowed to copy Naruto! The kobold yelled as he appeared, making several handsigns. sain haiben justsu! Whoops, might need to get someone to clean that up... Piles of feces began to fall from the cieling, landing on Tenzhi's sig. I need to get that translation right.... |
| #229zombiegleemaxMar 11, 2007 23:34:18 | Spattered by the fecal matter, Dal looks at Turalisj angrily. ...As a part of Turalisj, hence working here, you're cleaning that up. Without magic. He then prestidigitates himself. |
| #230captainsharMar 11, 2007 23:35:41 | Try me! To Tibur: Didn't I just see you somewhere...? |
| #231zombiegleemaxMar 11, 2007 23:37:40 | Confetti! A table turns ethereal. That wasn't you...Confetti! This time, its a fireball. Fortunately, he slips, which causes it to hit a sig behind you and far enough away from everyone to not harm them. |
| #232turalisjMar 11, 2007 23:39:12 | Turalisj quietly brushes the fecal matter into a bag of holding, putting it away. The kobold turned to Waken, nodding. You have a short memory, don't you? Or do you often get scars across you legs that you can't remember the origin of? |
| #233captainsharMar 11, 2007 23:39:19 | Oh, come on, it can do more than that, can't it? Try him. Pointing at Kabel. Not short of memory, just wondering whether you were the same kobold. And yes, I do get lots of random scars. Terribly sloppy of me to leave these on for so long. And she heals herself. (Night all.) |
| #234zombiegleemaxMar 11, 2007 23:42:36 | Confetti! shimmering colors begin moving around in front of Shiny. It looks pretty, til it tries to temporarily blind you all with a quick flash of light (fort DC 15 negates). (Night, Shar) |
| Waken is not blinded by the light.captainsharMar 12, 2007 12:57:27 | Waken is not blinded by the light. And Shar, too, is far enough removed from her Drow heritage that bright lights don't particularly bother her. Shiny, Shiny! |
| #236zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 22:14:01 | Shiny pokes the thread. Come on! I wanna play! |
| #237captainsharApr 12, 2007 22:17:33 | Watch. Shar grabs eight napkins from the table, throws them up so they flutter all around her, and whips around, slicing them all in half. They turn pretty colors as they fall, and she jumps out towards Shiny so they all blow toward him. |
| #238zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 22:20:56 | He claps. Yay! He says a few words, and they all reform. Then a pair of scissors pop out of his head and begin cutting random patterns into them. One would make Lovecraft proud. But then again, another one is the sanest thing in the world. Both touch and implode. How'd that work? |
| #239captainsharApr 12, 2007 22:23:40 | Pretty well, I'd say. Do you want to play angel? |
| #240zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 22:24:43 | He looks interested. How does that work? |
| #241captainsharApr 12, 2007 22:28:46 | Like this. She holds both his hands, and holds up her feet with his, lying on her back, so he's spread-eagle up in the air. Here, I think I can one-up you with that, Shar. Waken does the same thing (in winged human form), but she flies around upside down at the same time. |
| #242zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 23:02:52 | Hm... Then she realizes he's not as light as a kid would be, at 80 pounds of metal, wood, and stone. A quick misbalancing, a few tumble checks, and he's holding Shar up the way she was holding him up. :D |
| #243captainsharApr 12, 2007 23:08:35 | Waken laughs at Shar spread-eagle in the air. Yep, I can really one-up you on that, Shar. Want some help? She plucks the Dread Pirate out of Shiny's arms, then gives Shiny the ride. Waken's strong enough to keep Shiny aloft. Shar dusts herself off sheepishly. But before anyone can notice her again, she's darted outside, yelling Hide and Seek! |
| #244zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 23:12:16 | Not it! He disappears quickly, having a high hide check and the ability to shrink. |
| #245captainsharApr 12, 2007 23:16:18 | Anyone else playing? Orcy, Dal? Waken shrugs and begins counting. |
| #246zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 23:20:48 | Dal's already disappeared, a note where he was, which said he already was. Mages are tricky like that. |
| #247captainsharApr 12, 2007 23:28:03 | Waken finishes counting and starts glancing around the room and out the windows, giving everything a once-over. She easily spots a youthful orc woman who is standing behind a tree. Waken's Spot: 21 Hide: 7 She then takes her time looking around the whole place. Taking 20 on Search and Spot: 22 and 37 |
| #248zombiegleemaxApr 12, 2007 23:33:24 | You manage to spot Shiny, but not Dal. Then again, Dal has shapeshifting powers. Shiny was hiding with a lampshade on his head. hide: 32 |
| #249captainsharApr 12, 2007 23:39:14 | You're it! She tags Shiny on the head. To the orc: Um, hello? And to herself: This actually would have come in handy right about now. 'Detect Evil' Nothing comes up. Dal? Dal? Shapeshifters. He's probably the lamp on Shiny's head. |
| #250turalisjApr 12, 2007 23:45:37 | *swoops in, delivering a flurry of kicks to DF's siggy* :D |
| #251zombiegleemaxApr 13, 2007 0:36:18 | The sig turns into Dal. Watch it, T. |
| #252captainsharApr 13, 2007 14:43:53 | Okay, you win. Shiny's turn. You playing, miss? The orc nods. |
| #253zombiegleemaxApr 13, 2007 14:51:04 | Okay, everyone hide! A pair of plates slide in front of Shiny's eyes as he begins counting. Dal once again transforms. |
| 13captainsharApr 13, 2007 14:58:28 | Waken: has left the plane completely The orc: 13 |
| #255dyneMay 19, 2007 18:25:52 | Dyne jerks awake. "Hmph, and they say Elves are immune to sleep...." He mutters to himself as he downs a mug of coffee before he dozes off again. "So," he says, trying to start some casual conversation. "I hear that the guilds are gonna start up a war again." He casually sips his coffee. :whatsthis These forums are way too dead. ![]() |

For once, there doesn't seem to be one overly powerful evil group trying to take over everything." He fires up the stove as he talks, preparing a brunch for himself. "Then again, I'm not sure what groups are around anymore. I haven't been in these parts for quite awhile. |
| #258turalisjMay 19, 2007 19:03:28 | Merchant's Guild, Guild of Paladins, although the paladin supreme has left and thier most active member is dead, Seafarer's Guild, Council of Archmages, Guild of Ultimate Evil. Zik said, counting off the names with his fingers. It will be interesting when the sparks start to fly. |
| #259captainsharMay 19, 2007 19:13:18 | Just remember that the Guild of Seafarers isn't one of the flints. Shar stretches from over in the corner. Yes, from what I've heard, the most powerful guilds thus far aren't actually particularly interested in fighting, although I heard there's going to be some internal trouble at the Council of Archmages. Pity about the Guild of Paladins; they were doing so well for a while. |
| #260dyneMay 19, 2007 19:15:46 | "Yes, a real shame. So many of the best guilds and people vanish into obscurity, I'm surprised there's anything left of this place." He flips the eggs over in his pan, then starts to add in bits of ham, bacon, cheese, and spices. |
| #261captainsharMay 19, 2007 19:20:25 | Whatcha making? |
| #262dyneMay 19, 2007 19:26:08 | "Omelette," the Elf replies. He next begins to cook hashbrowns and pancakes in separate pans, setting a bottle of maple syrup nearby. Amongst his cooking, he instinctively skewers a passing sig with his large cooking fork. Man, I hate when I make myself hungry.... *Goes to get something to eat IRL* |
| #263captainsharMay 19, 2007 19:36:09 | Smells good. I probably should learn to cook one of these days...but when you can hire a neurotic professional to cook for you and fifty others, why bother? |
| #264dyneMay 19, 2007 19:39:20 | "I hope neurotic isn't in reference to myself." He continues to cook, not seeming to care much either way. |
| #265turalisjMay 19, 2007 19:50:17 | Zik looked at the sig, a pair of bolts made from magma frying it. Mmmm, fried sig. Tibur flapped into the Inn, putting up a sign. Swordpoint Academy wants YOU! |
| #266captainsharMay 21, 2007 18:37:32 | Shar smiles. I meant my ship's cook. |

He has somewhat longish black hair and red eyes, but a friendly, unthreatening expression. He wears a longish trenchcoat made of a tough, leathery, bluish-gray material, a hat of a similar material sitting on his head, with a large red feather set prominently. Beneath the bottom of the coat you can see durable, thick-heeled boots. He sweeps his hat off, bowing to Shar in a dramatic gestureand offering to take her hand "Milady, it truly is with great pleasure that I make your acquaintance. Such rare beauty, especially in our line of work." |
| #269dyneJun 14, 2007 7:49:36 | VC you sly dog, I wondered when you would return. Good to see you again. Dyne is sitting at a table in the corner of the inn, sipping on a cup of coffee. He looks up at the newcomer. "If you want breakfast, you'll have to wait. We're not open yet." He goes back to sipping his coffee while reading the Tyrannor Tribunal. :whatsthis |
| #270von_crownJun 14, 2007 8:08:42 | "Bah, what I need 's no good unless it's fresh, anyways. I can always taste whatever the bottle was made of, and it loses most of it's own flavor, even after just an hour or so." |

But I never have terrible trouble staying fed, so it works out." He tenses noticeably "Excuse me miss, I have something I need to take care of." He turns raising his hands in the air "Alright, I know you're there. All five of you. If you come out peacefully and tell me who you're working for, I'll spare you." Nothing seems to happen "Fine, be that way" He makes grasping gestures with his hands, and five black-clad assassin-looking types float out of various places "I believe I'm not supposed to fight in here, so I shall return momentarily" He gestures, and the assassins fly out of the door, hitting the pavement outside hard. he walks out after them Sounds of considerable battle are heard from outside, accompanied by several screams. One of the assassins appears in the doorway, struggling with a dark green tentacle entangling it thoroughly and wrapped around it's neck. he tugs at it before being dragged back away from the door, and a wet cracking sound is heard Mordred walks back in and sits at a table near Shar, sighing. "They never take the easy way." |
| #273zombiegleemaxJun 14, 2007 11:01:23 | A bunch of ash drifts through the door, becoming Crowley on the way through. Alright, Mordred's back! How's it been, Mordred? |

| #277zombiegleemaxJun 14, 2007 11:17:56 | That overgrown parasite better stay hidden away. Upon the mention of a target, he looks around and grabs an empty keg. This do? Also, this place resizes. |
| #278von_crownJun 14, 2007 11:23:03 | "It'd work, I suppose. I know what I'll do." Casts polymorph any object, turning keg into an iron golem "Alright, ready?" |
| #279zombiegleemaxJun 14, 2007 11:26:21 | The iron golem smashes a sig behind Mordred. Now we are. |
| #280von_crownJun 14, 2007 11:48:34 | Mordred grins "Don't blink" Mordred's movements seems to be a blur- In the space of a heartbeat, he's behind the golem, an oversized rapier in each hand. The next moment, he's unleashing an avalanche of attacks Swift action- Use Quicksilver motion (Boost maneuver, gain a free move action) Move to golem, quick drawing weapons Use remaining full round action to use Time Stands Still (Strike maneuver, make two full attacks) Use Flailing strike on each full attack (Chaos monk version of flurry of blows. At my level, I get 1d6 extra attacks. I can use rapiers 'cuz of a feat) Number of attacks Grand total 17 attacks, 9 at full bonus, 2 at -5, 2 at -10, 2 at -15, 2 at -20 even at the lowest bonus, I need a 1 to miss 1 miss, 16 hits Each attack was with a large rapier that lets me use my ki strike, so treated as adamantine, so each hit is 1d8+9 so for damage damage Total damage 206, almost 80 points overkill, without using a single expendable resource A pile of metal shards litter the floor, and Mordred sheathes his weapons "I kinda like my new tricks, personally" |
| #281zombiegleemaxJun 14, 2007 11:56:35 | When did you pick up swordsage, or which one did you choose? |
| #282von_crownJun 14, 2007 12:02:05 | Yeah, swordsage. And I trained in a- unconventional style of monk combat. More focused on butt-kicking and free thinking than meditation. I trained at a temple in the western jungles of Dauthaar. |
| #283captainsharJun 14, 2007 16:35:20 | Shar claps. Bravo, bravo. Can you sail as well as you can fight? I'm Captain Shar of the Noumenal Blade, by the way, and you are? |
| #284von_crownJun 14, 2007 17:31:01 | He bows again "Mordred Von Crown, a your service. I can pilot a ship, swing, jump, swim, fight, cast spells... Whatever you need. However, I'm not from around here, meaning my capabilities to cause actual change are... limited. There are rules, unfortunately. However, that has never discouraged me from making my presence known." He tilts his head for a moment "Oh yes, ships. Well, if you only count the ones that go in the water, I'e got the Dreadbones, the Crimson Lotus, and the Thrice-Cursed Drake. If you count flying ones too, well, it so happens that I am in the manufacturing business, my most well known personal vessel being the Skyblight." |
| #285captainsharJun 14, 2007 21:00:08 | You make flying ships? Shar looks at him with interest. And of course I'd love to see your others, and I can show you mine. I've got the Noumenal Blade, standard longship to which I've added quite a few personal touches, and an elven wingship, the Sally's Slip, which is currently undergoing extensive repairs. |
| #286turalisjJun 14, 2007 21:14:57 | You back Von Crown? Where've you been all these years? Torturing innocents? |
| #287zombiegleemaxJun 14, 2007 21:27:22 | Time for a small planar excursion then, Mordred? |
| #288von_crownJun 14, 2007 22:21:24 | "Yeah, other than training I've been here and there, getting some more pirating in, fighting in the blood wars for fun, y'know, mostly time off. A little work destabilizing various realities, but I've been working a bit less than usual." To Shar "I'd gladly show you around any of my ships. And you know, if you're ever interested in getting a flying ship, I could certainly set you up for minimal costs. Hell, I'd love to get you one for free, but I need to pay the workers and mages, and the universal laws might take offense at you getting something for nothing." He tilts his head for a moment "I could dock at the Guild of Seafarers, if you'd like." |
| #289von_crownJun 15, 2007 6:29:56 | I'm going to go prepare my vessels, I'll be at the port soon enough." He steps outside, snaps his fingers, and vanishes. |
| #290captainsharJun 15, 2007 20:42:58 | Someone interested in joining the Guild of Seafarers? I must go be the Guildmaster. Excuse me, gentlemen. Shar exits after Von Crown, grinning at the thought of another real buccaneer in the area. |
| #291von_crownJun 17, 2007 7:13:58 | The door swings open, and everyone's favorite brain-in-a-jar and headless zombie duo steps in and dusts themselves off, walking up to the counter. "Crowley, there's an important Dauthaari holiday coming up, and I've been instructed to ask if we could host a party here. We plan to send out invitations to the guilds, of course." |
| #292zombiegleemaxJun 17, 2007 20:00:29 | Go ahead. |
| #293von_crownJun 17, 2007 22:41:57 | "Very good, now I must be off, other duties to attend to." He leaves the way he came |
| #294redhaseJun 27, 2007 1:04:14 | A dark blood red figure comes in with three others , they make their way over to a table . One of them a male comes over and oreders elven blood wine, he will wait then places some gold on the counter with another arm that comes out from under his cloak. Then goes back too sit with the others. |
| #295zombiegleemaxJun 27, 2007 9:46:14 | G'day, Red. He pulls a bottle out from under the counter and hands it to the male. Then he breaks a different (and empty) bottle over the head of the sig, starting a small bar fight. |
| #296redhaseJun 27, 2007 15:40:07 | He Takes the bottle from crowly and give him a nod. He goes back to the table and puts it down on the table top. Karel talks to the others, words such as silmarian, voll, elfs preparing to fight each other and a battle can be heard being talked about. Table rock is mention and Drow, |
| #297von_crownJun 28, 2007 3:42:49 | A woman walks in and sits at the bar, most of her features concealed by a hooded cloak |
| #298zombiegleemaxJun 28, 2007 12:44:12 | What'll you have? |
| #299von_crownJun 28, 2007 13:53:08 | "Nothing, thanks, I'm just meeting someone here." |
| #300zombiegleemaxJun 28, 2007 14:47:34 | (She's Lust, right? It's been a while since I've seen the Sins voice colors.) |
| #301von_crownJun 28, 2007 15:06:13 | (Yeah, though she's new- the old lust stepped down and she took the job. Primarily because the old lust only had the position because she was the reincarnation of someone else) |
| #302von_crownJun 28, 2007 15:40:54 | Wrath walks in and sits next to Lust "He gonna be here soon?" "Yeah" "Good, I need to talk to him" |
| #303zombiegleemaxJun 28, 2007 15:42:41 | Hey Wrath. What happened to the old Lust? |
| #304redhaseJun 28, 2007 15:45:48 | The group finishes and leaves the bottle, leaving the partily finished bottle on the table. They goe up to the bar where Crowly is. One of them pulls back their hood slightly and and hands Clrowly two vails: She is a drow, She says, "they are Belbol d'Elghinn and Velkyn Ogglin Drow poisions, they are clearly marked if you can read drow. Do be careful in handling them." Karel says to crowly, "More can be given, Talk to the Skygga and see if you can arrange for some rocks from their dark plane. I can be contacted at the Warloch Circle" With that they leave. |
| #305zombiegleemaxJun 28, 2007 15:51:01 | Crowley looks at the vials, before crushing them with his bare hand. He then yells after the leaving party I'm currently dead out there. And I've never been one for poisons in the first place. |
| #306von_crownJun 28, 2007 17:00:59 | "Just wasn't really up to the job. Stepped down on her own." |
| #307von_crownJun 29, 2007 3:03:07 | The door opens, and Mordred steps in "We'll be needing a room. Excuse me if I'm being overly prompt. I'll deal with your situation once I get this over with." Lust gets up and follows him "Well, looks like my waitings' done" She giggles as she follows, glancing back over her shoulder and winking, dragging her finger along the bar and leaving a trail of frost in it's wake |
| #308zombiegleemaxJun 29, 2007 23:17:20 | Catch. He tosses a key. Nearest one to the stairwell. Try to make sure it's not completely destroyed, 'cuz everything proofing is expensive. |
| #309von_crownJun 29, 2007 23:19:32 | "It should be fine then. Wrath should be able to handle anyone who wants to come bother us" Mordred and Lust head up the stairs, and Wrath takes up a position at the bottom of the steps |
| #310von_crownJun 29, 2007 23:58:25 | They come back down a bit later "So, you're looking to be revived, eh?" |
| #311zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2007 0:09:54 | Not quite. More a rebinding. I just desire my soul rebound into smoke and heat. |
| #312von_crownJun 30, 2007 0:12:58 | "I heard something about a location being mentioned, is there somewhere I have to go?" |
| #313zombiegleemaxJun 30, 2007 0:15:20 | Yes, it's King's Pyre, the current Children of the Planes. My soul's resting place is where the :P face is. |
| #314von_crownJun 30, 2007 0:19:20 | "Very well, I'll head over presently" He heads out the door, squashing the sig that tries to sneak in past him |
| #315turalisjJul 06, 2007 18:31:58 | I've opened a blue lizard inn at the gleemax are if anyone is interested... :D |
| #316bronzebeardMar 18, 2008 10:33:40 | AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH *You here a shout coming from outside the inn* *Looking outside of the window you can see a limping dwarf approach the inn hastily* Och! Me'ladies! I missed thas' plac so much! *His hair, all grayed out. Bits and parts off his head hair is missing. Beard treamed short. One eye is in a darker collor then the second. And on his leg theres a long claw-like scar* *panting and entering the hall he yells* Quick! Bartender! Bring me ya'r best ale! [mutter]or your next best 'xcuse[/mutter] Wait... I know you... |
| #317bookmenMar 18, 2008 18:03:17 | One of the customers looks up from the large tome in front of him as the scarerd dwarf enters the inn. After getting a goo look at the man drops the tome forgetting it ever existed. "Bronzebeard?! Can it really be you old friend? Its me Cazic, Zombomaniac, or whatever name you know me by." ( :D BronzeBeard welcome back!!! You've been gone a long time old friend. Finnally done with your service in the military? ) |
| #318bronzebeardMar 18, 2008 18:14:37 | Ca... Cazic? you look different. ((yeah, I finished a month back and now I am a simple out of job grown up with nothing in the future. I have no clue what should I be doing now, Oh my)) |
| #319bookmenMar 18, 2008 18:17:38 | Well so do you Bronzebeard. Though at least you staied the same race. I've changed mine a few time. Is there a story to go with thoses scars? And are you coming back to take over the inn? I fear it may have falled into disrepair. There might also be a few sigs hiding under the floor boards. (What about College? Or a job? Surely you would be able to get one real quick and what about war time pay to help you out?) |
| #320demonfey02Mar 18, 2008 19:28:50 | Bronzebeard's back!![]() |
| #321bookmenMar 18, 2008 20:14:09 | Free drinks all around to celebrate Bronzebeard coming back! I'm paying for everyone tonight!![]() *kicks sig out the door* My sig is a sneaky little guy. |
| #322turalisjMar 18, 2008 20:16:52 | Ca... Cazic? you look different. *several chibi dragons tackle Bronze Beard* yay! Lets see... Most of the old members are either gone or have changed account names (like Cazic) while others, like Dyne, are no where to be seen. Oh, and there is a 'lord of the damned' walking around turning this place into hell.. All in all, not much has changed realy. Still have nutjobs running around trying to conquer Tyranor. |
| #323bronzebeardMar 19, 2008 8:51:27 | Ah... the scars... *a proud smile spread on his face* Aye, they got a story al'right, but it ain't pretty. Besides, a'need a drink and mayb a good night sleep 'fore a spill them out to ya. :D And that includes tha Inn aswell. Hey DF, how's it goin'? Och! Blasted drakes! *BB grabs one of them by the hand and glares the chibi dragon in the eyes. Suddenly, the dragon seems to whimper* Na that'll teach ya! Say, where Orcy? and King bishop? And by tyrannor you prob' mean tha Inter Fund... Founde... ACH! Tha stupid guild wars! Whoever got that stupid nam fer tha whole thing was stupid as a doorknob! ((That thing was really something, until this guy came and turned it into a massive multiperson online forums dungeon and dragons roleplaying. Shame.)) (What about College? Or a job? Surely you would be able to get one real quick and what about war time pay to help you out?) ((Unfourtunatly, we don't have college in our country. If I want to continue learning then the next stop is University. And for that I need to decide what I wanna learn (you know - major). As for payment. I got an army grant which, adds to some funds I saved aside, will bring me to a healty sum of around 10,000 NIS (divided by 4 it's approx 2,500$). )) |
| #324captainsharMar 19, 2008 11:15:40 | A pirate captain strides in, eyes twinkling. I always like to greet the newcomers - or perhaps this is an old patron long gone? If you have wares in need of transport, the Noumenal Blade is at your service. I'm Shar, captain of the Blade and master of the Seafarers. In other words, I'm one of the GMs now. Pleased to make your acquaintance. |
| #325bronzebeardMar 19, 2008 12:37:15 | Umm... well... hello there missi. I be here the... errr... the... well... I WAS the founder of the Inn a couple o'years back. Under the DBL. But, well, I got called. Anyway, pleased ta meet ya. |
| #326captainsharMar 19, 2008 14:52:44 | The founder? Excellent! I love knowing the origins of things. If you wish to share your story I shall be sure to record and tell it most faithfully. And if you have any tips on attracting customers, perhaps you would not be loath to share them with the inn I have as part of my guild. |
| #327demonfey02Mar 20, 2008 0:57:25 | It's going well, BB. Nothing much to report here. Orcy's back as one of the GMs, by the way, and Bishop hasn't been seen for a long while. Oh, and Sil's gone, too. |
| #328bronzebeardMar 20, 2008 5:17:25 | ((Now why would those two would go? did they gave a reason? Oh well... But why you're DF2? forgot ya'r password?;) ) Well... ya attrak customers by offering them a pint and a nice bunkie. Which this place seems ta lack. Stupid place. Fer me, I prefer poin'ing at them a big gun. |
| #329demonfey02Mar 20, 2008 13:48:38 | That and the email address I originally had when I started. As for Kingside Bishop, I don't entirely know why he left-I think it had to do with time restrictions, possibly. And as for Sil, I don't know. (blows out the fuse on the cannon) |
| #330bookmenMar 20, 2008 22:15:48 | Well, not to sound rude, but still speak openly I am pretty sure that we are glad Sil is no longer around. I know I am. |
| #331orcy_the_green_wonderMar 20, 2008 22:27:37 | Orcy sits up from beneath a pile of mugs, smelling awful of ale, sweat, and orc. He stretches and scratches at his solid white hair, looking sleepily around the room through squinted eyes. "Is that damned light gone yet? I thought that midget had come back to haunt me again. Had to get away from it ya know... can't deal with rambling midgets with shine fetishes, just ain't right." |
| #332bookmenMar 20, 2008 22:32:09 | *awkward silence* |
| #333demonfey02Mar 21, 2008 0:17:43 | A little warforged with a lantern installed in his head pops up. Hello!:D Oh great, now he's doing smiley aided conversation too. |
| #334bronzebeardMar 21, 2008 8:21:07 | That and the email address I originally had when I started. As for Kingside Bishop, I don't entirely know why he left-I think it had to do with time restrictions, possibly. And as for Sil, I don't know. Hmmm... that could be a bit problematic if we would need update the first post. As I see it - it is you who wrote it... which brings me to: So... ya think a stout dwarf like ay could get a job here? Atleast a fin' meself a nice pint. As it seems ta me that non o'ya care ta fill me jug! Well, not to sound rude, but still speak openly I am pretty sure that we are glad Sil is no longer around. He seems to me too much of an ambitious guy... he gave me the creeps sometime. Orcy! Long time no save/siege... whatever |
| #335thasisMar 21, 2008 20:16:43 | I liked Sil, I think was one of few. Haha, anyways. It's nice to see you BronzeBeard. I'm not entirely hear, but I lurk here. I've been waiting for things to pick up and spare time to free to come back. I dunno if i'd have much a warm welcome. I've darted off one to many times. |
| #336bookmenMar 21, 2008 21:28:49 | I liked Sil at first but he quickly got on my bad side. I still remember when I got a Warning from a WizO after chewing Sil out.:D As far as you coming back: We would be glad to have you back. Though from the looks of things you may want to make something other then a GoUE PC as it seems that Guild has died. |
| #337turalisjMar 21, 2008 22:42:51 | *vulcan cannons pop out from the corners and gun down the sig* |
| #338thasisMar 22, 2008 1:11:35 | I have time again. My two longest standing priorities (my fiance and my band Jenova Project) have both faded from my life *sigh*. I want to return the GoUE. The main reason it failed was my lack of commitment and my lack of ability to construct a proper headquarters. I hate building design. *shakes fist*. It did well before we had all of the rules for guild house design. I liked the first draft of the IFWG. Maybe it wasn't balanced, but it was sure as hell fun and it got everyone participating. If it wasn't for Sil using the rules for favortism then I think things could have been fine. |
| #339bronzebeardMar 22, 2008 7:36:32 | I do not wish to turn the lovely inn into a Anti-Sil thread so I suggest we leave the subject aside. Pro's and Con's... each man (or woman) should seek out their own favorites in a person and, if they cannot find so, they should not befriend with that person. As for the whole IFGW. I'd like to state my opinion (and some would say that I can't since I haven't really participated in that): I think that the idea was rather nice and that the initiative was something to behold. But the course it took was a rather silly one. Facts alone - If any of us would have wanted to game a dnd session the best, first, option to do so was find a gaming group offline. Since... you know... that's the whole point. Even if you cannot find such a group you could either: A. Search the multyverse forums for an opening to a player's in google or any other search engine. B. Go back and play Baldures Gate, IceWind Dale, neverwinters night and the like - I know I would. Therefore transfering the rules of the dnd to shape the roleplay experience in this forums is a hectic, if not truly uneccesery, thing to do. Additionaly, it does destroy a bit of the "free-form" roleplaying that has accured in here. Maybe it wasn't balanced, but it was sure as hell fun and it got everyone participating Now, if all the effort were directed into making it an guild-guild interaction and roleplaying (with or without the help of the D20 system) then I guess we could have seen some fun stuff. But hey, that's just my 2 cents. thasis - so sorry to here about that. Are you alright? Would you like to elaborate? or that you want to be left near the bar with a mug of ale? (or drow blood? I always confuse the customers... maybe I should cut back on beer...) |
| #340thasisMar 23, 2008 12:24:50 | Well... I kinda muggled things up with my fiance... I was going through a lot of stuff and ended up putting a lot of barriers to protect myself... but in the process I pushed her away. And I ended up taking a lot of my problems out on her... I just eventually pushed her away... I'm trying to work things out right. But when someone believes you for so long and nothing happens, you never can get over your problems... well it's hard to believe the person anymore. And yah, my band was with my two best friends... but we're not friends anymore. I spent the last 2 and half years on this band, and I pretty much devoted every day to working on it. We had well over a hundred demo songs ready, and we were about to complete our first full length album to put out. Well... yah, now it's just me.. and because of issue #1 I don't have the dedication to continue the project by myself right now. To much work and to little emotional energy. God, I really think I need that's drows blood *shakes fist* (Sorry for the moap sorry guys :P) |
| #341bookmenMar 23, 2008 12:44:12 | Dont worry about it man. We're here for you. . .Even though we are in different states and countires.;) :D |
| #342thasisMar 23, 2008 15:39:47 | Rawr! Haha, yah. Nice to know people I've never met care. |
| #343bookmenMar 23, 2008 16:09:13 | Rawr! Haha, yah. Nice to know people I've never met care. Thats how we roll. ![]() |
| #344thasisMar 24, 2008 2:57:32 | I don't know if I'll ever post again... or if I'll ever post anywhere again... or make another movement again... this might be farewell... |
| #345bronzebeardMar 24, 2008 6:23:54 | Nooooo! thasis! stay clear from the white light!!!!!11!1! I know it's beutifull but stay away! Joking. Seriously now. I guess there are times that a man's got to do what a mans got to do. And thought I'm clearly confused as to what happened and why you cannot pop in and write sometimes I sure know that it won't kill you to leave this place for other things sake. (Trust me. Personall Xp talking.) Anyway, I wich you best of luck. Do your things and come back when and if you're ready AND done with your other priorities. And remember - If you gotta shoot - shoot. Don't talk. |
| #346turalisjMar 24, 2008 16:50:47 | Unless you are Bronzebeard, who only shoots blanks :P |
| #347bronzebeardApr 09, 2008 2:16:07 | och! I hate doctor time. and paper work! ... [/rant] Say. I have an idea for an article. Would any of you like to help me out? |
| #348bookmenApr 09, 2008 10:54:54 | Post it and they will come. |
| #349bronzebeardApr 09, 2008 13:01:49 | Well, I thought that with the SpellPlague and all that I'll try to write 'bout how mages found ways to bypass the shatter of the weave and follow after two mages as an example. |
| #350bookmenApr 20, 2008 3:31:26 | Well...not as many people responded to your statment as I thought.![]() As to what you said I would like to hear your thoughts about Mystra's death and the like. Lets also not forget that the Shadow Weave would also be destroied since it is linked to the Weave. One thing that would certianly happen is that a lot of the Casters would go to being normal people as they would no be able/willing to persue magic in the new form it takes (whatever that will be). Also I know some people who say that the Weave is the source of Divine and Arcane magics and some who say that it is the Source of Arcane magics only. If it the the source for both how would this effect people? |
| #351turalisjApr 20, 2008 13:12:10 | Yet another reason to hate FR.... Bah, in the game I'm running right now a devout follower of bahumut has just learned that his god is a fake, along with every other known god. I love shattering hopes. :D |
| #352bronzebeardApr 21, 2008 5:42:12 | How exactly evey god is fake? Is that a bit of info I haven't read? |
| #353bookmenApr 21, 2008 13:12:18 | How exactly evey god is fake? I think that is something that they are homebrewing. |
| #354bronzebeardJul 07, 2008 14:57:51 | Well... I'm rather disappointed. When I got my copy of Grand History of the realms I wandered in my thoughts toward writing and sending my two cents to the wizard's site. To the end of editing my thoughts it so happened that them people won't accept any 3rd material. Only fourth. With the books I prepaid coming only after september and the books that will be published in the meantime will deal with how faerun's deal with the change then all of my work gone right throu the window. Add to that the concept of wizard is now totally different with every class using powers instead, you just might as well call'em strange man in tutus and do yourself a favor and pick, once again, cleric. as BB might say it - "Where's me ale?!" |
| #355vglcatJan 14, 2009 15:13:33 | there havent been any post's 4 a while..... ![]() |

| #359captainsharJan 18, 2009 21:45:21 | Hehehe. You guys should all come over for the ball - you don't need a statted character to have fun there. |
