Attention Map of the Planes Regulars

Mar 19, 2008 17:28:42 Hello, I am the VCL (Volunteer Community Lead) for the WIZARDS.COMmunity area of the forums.

I need to know if this forum has a Forum Lead or GM, and if not, would someone like to be FL of this forum.

Mar 19, 2008 17:46:26 This area doesn't have a GM or an FL. For that matter, it doesn't really have a WizO anymore, but we take care of ourselves around here. Most people here are really busy - I'm grounded on a regular basis and can't handle responsibility anyway, and Sorcen has, y'know, life. But if no one else can be found, I'll step up.

Mar 19, 2008 17:50:51 Hi there. As far as I am aware there is no formal leader around here. I run the arena and the threads that spawn from it. Other then the arena affiliated threads there is Gareth's Arena. We have done fairly well at running ourselves so far but if you like and if everyone in the Map of the Planes community is ok with it, then I can volunteer my services for Forum Lead/GM.

I'm curious though, what responsibilities would I expect were I to be elected FL/GM?

Mar 19, 2008 20:32:30 well, here we basically govern ourselves, but if it wasnt for sorcen none of us would be here, so if you were to pick someone he'd be the best choice

For more info on FLs and VCLs, read over this forum: http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=725 (this is the open discussion forum, there is also a restricted forum)

Basically Forum Leads do what you guys have been doing already, but in addition you'll be able to post in the Restricted Forum over in the Gleemax VCL Discussion forums (see link above). You can add your voice to discussions about where the forums are headed and what happens. Also, if you guys need something stickied, closed, moved etc, you'll be able to post in the designated thread for that. (You could also PM me for those things as well.)

Let me know if you'd be OK with a nomination.

Thanks for the info Bussy. I'm fine for the nomination, as long as there are no objections to me representing our portion of the community. I also have no objection to being co-FL with Jess.

Mar 24, 2008 2:51:56 Ok, I have nominated Sorcen and Jessica to be FLs/GMs of this forum. I don't believe they'll alert you if you get it, You'll just suddenly be able to post in the restricted forum. If you find that has happened let me know.

Mar 26, 2008 2:12:50 I know it's a bit late, but I'd just like to toss my vote of confidence at Sorcen too... as you said yourself he's doing all the stuff that he's supposed to do as it is anyway.

In case another one/a replacement is needed, then I'm ready to do my best to help out, but I do doubt it'll be necessary.
