#1 lunoc Mar 13, 2009 18:37:28	OOC: welcome to my battle thread! this will be the end of my questline that started in the one who is an army notes all are welcome. hinoban will be playing the main antagonist, and has DM authority in this thread. it is unwise to attack the antagonist at the start of the game, but your characters will have the chance to fight him at one point. IC: the sky above baator is similar in appearence to a shattered mirror. something has been trying to break through. a terrible groaning sound can be heard as the shards of existence are finally torn free. reality recedes around the wound, matter dares not touch it, light and darkness flee it. at the edge of the incomprehensible gash even the void is pulled back like a black cloth. lesser creatures that even look opon the wound may die instantly from the shock of seeing something that is neither something nor nothing. whatever caused this begins to force itself through the breach, altering itself at leatst partialy so that it can enter. something crashes out of the hole and lands in baator
#2 hinoban Mar 13, 2009 20:16:31	The thing hits the ground heavily, causing it to warp dramatically. The writhing shape slowly begins to take a shadowy humanoid figure. The figure is huge, and heavily built, similar in appearance, outline-wise, to Legion. Its body is not solid anywhere, whispy and shifting, as if whatever it is, is trying to become stable. A sense of triumph emanates from the figure as a cold multi-tiered voice rumbles from within it. *"Division has come. Legion must leave"*

#5 Aqua Mar 13, 2009 20:53:51	Chaos,Maelstrom,Revelation and Genesis get to the scene. They watched as Division brought his fist toward Legion's face and watched to see the outcome. Revelation spoke outloud as the others simply stood trying to come up with a plan. "Bets on how far he goes?" "If Legion goes flying then this will be one hell of a fight boys!" Chaos started heading toward the battle as the others fell in beside him.

A gentle rain of burnt remains drifts slowly to the ground. ...Ahhhhhhhhhhhh... The sigh comes from the sky itself and from darkness surrounding Revelation, pressing in from all sides. We thank you, Revelation. It has been to long since we have felt its sweet taste. Two lurid pin-pricks of insidious light illuminate the blackness before Revelation's eyes. There is no emotion in their endless stare, but they simmer with a rage that is not their's to command. Yet another entity of endless destruction, bent solely on the spread of carnage and ruin. We tire of your kind, Revelation. We tire of you. The umbral night pulls away, rushing upwards to join the tumultuous storm brewing above the battlefield. Blood drips down from the heavens, pooling upon the ground in great crimson lakes. From the largest of these rises a dripping figure, half bone, half flayed flesh, slippery with blood and bile, infused with the darkness of oblivion. The countless spirits within the storm lurk within its gaze, behind every move it makes, and their voices whisper as it exhales through ruined lungs. Its eyes open...and Revelation stares into the eyes of his victims. And they hunger. Tell us, Revelation. Talk to us of pain.
#43 Aqua Mar 15, 2009 1:07:02	Revelation snarls loudly, his deep growl rumbling through the air. He took several steps forward his tail thrashing from side to side. His dark eyes locking on the creature and he was getting ready to charge the being. "Inflict as much as you want on me....It allows me to be one with my victoms... But I will take my time with destroying you.I will show you why the worlds hate and fear me." Fire rose up darker then the void itself. Revelation flicked its tail outward going to grab the creature by the neck. If his tail wrapped around the creature he was going to drag it into the ground. Genesis left the knight's side his brother was fighting something he had never seen or felt before. He had to be on his brothers side. He ran fullout moving swiftly through the battle dodging warrior after warrior. He jumped into the air, his sparkling sapphire wings erupting from his back. He took off toward his brother's fight and watched as he had already attacked. "BROTHER! Control yourself! This battle was for us to help!" Revelation's sinister laughter rang out as he was begining to enjoy himself. "I AM HELPING THEM BROTHER! HELPING THEM ENJOY WHAT DEATH AWAITS THEM! I WILL SPREAD THIS PAIN TO ALL THOSE WHO DESERVE IT!"
#82 Aqua Mar 31, 2009 19:55:22	Genesis's arm is slashed open and as he moved away blood spilled across the ground. He looked confused and when he heard Toby say sorry he knew it wasn't his falt. He quickly searched the area trying to find the source of these strange attacks. "Revelation find and destroy who is doing this..." Genesis had many barriers in his mind and the one doing this would have to take his time to unravel what was woven inside his mind. Revelation's took off slashing and hacking away at everything in his path, he didn't care if it was his foe or his ally. He would find the source and anyone of them could simply be the being in disguise. "Only the weak make others do their dirty work! Come and face me so I can feast upon you!"
#122 sorcen_anenooata Apr 11, 2009 9:59:19	Toby seems to panic but does as hes instructed. His eyes suddenly change and he swings his sword at Jason sloppily then takes a few steps back. Shirin has found what made this one so special. The boy had power, though he'd likely never be able to tap into it on his own. The young knight began to glow bright yellow. His glow spread to his blade and to the young man's eyes. Golden beams shot from his eyes and streaked towards Genesis.

#126 Aqua Apr 11, 2009 17:22:36	The beam slammed into Genesis, he had just stood up when it slammed into him from behind. He fell foward hitting the ground hard and laid there. Revelation saw the attack and snarled loudly, he picked up his scythe roared with rage. He started running toward Toby and leapt into the air spinning his scythe. "Its time to make you bleed BOY!" Revelation gripped his scythe at the last minute with both hands and went to drive it into Toby's shoulder.
#162 northwind Apr 18, 2009 17:23:08	As the blow from Xalax's hammer lands, there is a deafening peal, as of church bells. Thin, vividly white lines appear in the midst of the fighting -- it is as though they had always been there, only never noticed. They are in the shape of a door, lines as on an architect's drawing board outlining all of the angles and features. It looks like the door to a cathedral, and with another peal, it opens onto darkness. A man, dressed unassumingly in a black suit and gold tie steps into the arena. He is old, and his eyes are tired. But he walks with a surprising litheness, wobbling only slightly as he puts his weight on his gleaming black cane. Watching him walk is like looking at a spider as it crawls. His gait is smooth but uneven as he periodically tilts to hold himself up on his cane. "Division." his voice booms out across the arena. "My name is Aral Taer, and I have a proposition for you." He pauses at the edge of the raw magic that surrounds Division. "If I assist you in destroying these irritants..." Aral Taer looks about, surveying the fighters assembled "... and once you've destroyed this aspect of reality, let me draw afresh a new world on the clean canvas you create."

He howls in pain as the rays burn his very soul. The sick smell of burnt soul billows up like smoke from the scorched holes left by the eye rays. Shirin was not accustomed to fighting physically, being a spellcaster in life and death. Unable to move quickly enough, the warforged's claws rend the lich's incorporeal flesh. Sending Shirin face down from the agony of the attack, face first into the necrocarnum. OOC OOC: I cant remember the effects of Necrocarnum and dont have the book anymore to look it up. So go ahead and describe it. Hmm I cant find it on google or wiki, the world may be coming to an end.

He recognizes the angel and suddenly remembers the moments before he passed out. "Where.." He says as his gaze finds Core, intact and still alive. "How?" Is the next question he asks. He abandons his quest for answers as he looks at Division. He looks to the mangled body of Legion and the struggles of the defenders as they try to harm the multidimensional Division. The young knight pulls himself to his feet slowly and grasps his sword.

#168 sorcen_anenooata Apr 20, 2009 11:27:31	Shirin is impaled with Ziel's long sharp claws as he's slammed into the ground. He yells in pain, his consciousness fading as the pain, despair, and hatred wrack his mind. The suel lich is almost unconscious when he instinctively casts a spell. Green electricity escapes his failing incoporeal body, lashing out at Ziel. The electricity's effects are the least of Ziel's worries though, as he sees that the lightning is semi-solid and everything it's lashes touch melts as though touched by acid. With the acidic electric lashes defending him and buying him time, Shirin coughs ghostly blood and begins to pull himself back to his feet.
#169 munchlord Apr 21, 2009 3:50:07	Ziel has left behind a heavy amount of necrocarnum and the concentration of it makes it extremely hard to see. Worse yet, while Shirin was within the cloud it seems to have ancored to Shirin and now follows him around, and some of it seems to have even started to "condensate" upon his form, making the emotional assault keep running. Ziel is still leaking Necrocarnum but now it doesn't linger around Ziel anymore. Rather, it emerges from Ziel and flies to join the could around Shirin. Ziel throws himself backwards from the acidic lightning. Where it strikes him, more necrocarnum seems to rise but nothing but the spikes that adorn Ziel's body seems to have been hit, and they regenerate with an alarming speed. Ziel lets out a powerful roar that makes the entire soulstrand cage that Ziel and Shirin fights in tremble, and the sonic blast threatens to knock the Suel lich down again and worse yet, it is sending the acidic lightning on a direct collision course with him as well.
#170 Aqua Apr 21, 2009 17:35:17	The ground shakes violently as Chaos ran toward his opponent, the elements swirled and sparked around his very being as he saw a new challenge. He had waited for long enough and now he would get his chance to destroy this foe... Chaos exploded forward drawing in energy into his fists, he jumped high into the air and came straight down bringing his hands together to smash Division into the ground. "Lets play!"
#202 lunoc Aug 07, 2009 17:43:15	Annihilation Reaper simply floats forward moving directly through the net as if it was not even there. A creature with the necessary perception does however notice that Annihilation Reaper is doing something special to avoid the net, simply reallocating the places where he existed and the ones where he doesn't to allow the net to pass through him without ever touching a place where he exists. With a loud crack, the thing gathered energy in less than an instant, and two surges of deep red soulfire arched out from the insanely powerful creature and formed a spiral around Division. Suddenly, the soulfire turned into what appeared like perfect copies of Annihilation Reaper... what might seem even mroe scary is the fact that they radiated the same impossible amount of power. The copies surround Division to all sides in both the three dimensions of space and the fourth dimension of time. All at the same time, the Annihilation Reaper copies assault with the same impossible momentum and infinite mass as the real one did just moments before, and both back and forth in time. ((Just for the reference, this guy is more powerful than Legion was...)) (perhaps physically, but legion was able to fight division and break his shield only because of their connection. in a strength against strength duel division would have crushed legion... well, faster.) meanwhile, lunoc had hurled himself toward division from long distance, but something peculiar happened about midway through. he disappeared. the copies collide on target, and the surrounding area tears open like old cloth, and the many fracture points around the remnants of baator grow larger. Sorcen directs the black and green cloud of gnats towards Division with one hand while continuing his chant. As the gnats descend to within about thrity feet from Division, they begin exhaling thousands of hellfireballs. Sorcen makes an arcane gesture with his other hand, the storm cloud created by Dricondis is torn apart suddenly as a meteor burns the sky in its trajectory for Division. As it nears, living things are seen crawling on the meteor's surface. (I say this hits, but as my and munch's characters occupy the same area right now, I cant really say.)

Well TBH, if it wasn't the case and we were to be true to the power levels of the characters as I can observe them, then Division would be in over his head just with Annihilation Reaper...)) As the meteor comes in, it seems to pass right through Annihilation Reaper as if he wasn't there.

It seems that none of the beings are the same in appearence, possibly powerful beings exiled by Sorcen long ago. They drain Division's energy in red streams of light that pour from the anti-being into their hungry mouths.

They drain Division's energy in red streams of light that pour from the anti-being into their hungry mouths. division's exteirior seems to crack, and falls away like a shell surrounding a largely obliterated lunoc. the broken damwulf floats slowly away in the gravity-defiant sphere. smoke suddenly inherits a large amount of lunoc's power and skill. where lunoc was before, division now stands. he grimaces. his body was covered in wounds that went deeper inwards than his dimensions should allow. he raises his hands as the fractures spread far and wide. bits and pieces of the universe begin to fall out of being. the process is quickly accelerating.
#207 munchlord Aug 17, 2009 4:56:26	The first thing that happens is Zack landing next to the other guitarist. "You sure know how to rock a place up good.... too bad you're outta order, but let's get to do something 'bout that shall we?" With those words he started playing a song that was written by legends of rock and when he reaced a certain part of the lyrics, revitalizing energy started to flow out of him with the sound, healing wounds, restoring used energy and even ressurecting some of his allies. The first target of all were his fellow musician, followed closely by Sorcen and Lunoc. The show must go on! The show must go on! ** Next to Jack, a woman appears out of nowhere. Her skin has a slightly metallic silver sheen, and her clothing is tight fitting as if she was simply coated in liquid silver, leaving only way for her face. She has dark brown hair that is long enough to blur the outlines of her rear in spite of the rather revealing clothing. Her eyes are brightly yellow with a faint glow. Her face is finely shaped and beautiful, as goes for the rest of her body. She appears to be unarmed "The gate hub is completed and the core uplink is coming online just now sir." She then unfurls a pair of bright golden butterfly wings and with a single beat of them she closes the gap between her and Zack, launching herself into his arms and kissing him passionately, thus cutting the last few chords of his song short. As their kiss stops she whispers rapidly to him with a scared voice "I'm so relieved to see you, do you have any idea how afraid I was that you'd die and never come back to me?" Zack shook his head with a kind smile as he responded. "Have you forgotten that I'm immortal? silly gir...." Another kiss cut off the last part of the word before she responded. "Not if he shatters the Chroma and your father isn't there to guard it." "That still makes this the safest place I can be, the Chroma is out of Division's reach for the time being and while I stay he can't go there.... besides, do you see who is fighting on our side?" Zack breaks away from her embrace to point at Annihilation Reaper, causing the jaws of the woman to drop momentarily, but she regains her focus quickly, with a question. "If they are here, how comes Division is still here? Their power combined should be more than enough to end the fight..." Zack looks thoughtful as he responds "I'm not completely sure of that, but in any case, I don't think they've come here for the kill.... I think they're making sure a certain individual gets a chance to have its fate happen correctly... One thing is certain though, they're just toying with Division right now, they haven't let out their true power yet." Annihilation Reaper spins around to face Division once again and his eyes flares up with red for a brief second... or at least that's what the defenders see. To division, everything has changed. Colors have been inverted, rendering Annihilation Reaper blindingly white with bright blue eyes. A single phrase rings through the minds of all of the defenders with an authority that have most of them begin to act even before their consciousness deciphers the meaning of the words. "Play you Aces." Zack looks at his girlfriend and barks an order that doesn't allow opposition. "Get out of here now" She complies instantly, blinking out of view in the same way she appeared before. Jack is the first one to react, having had an ace coming up already. Just as Annihilation Reaper's move commences, he finishes connecting to the Core and suddenly, he feels a familiar feeling as nearly unlimited energy floods his system for a moment before he reconfigures to containing energy in amounds that would have caused his system to suffer a meltdown if it hadn't been for Hunger. At the same time, Jack opens a one way path using the Gate and suddenly 200 of his kind appears in a cluster around him. They look like identical twins, and the only thing that distinguishes Jack from the others is the fact that while he is wearing baggy clothos with camuflage patterns, the others are wearing dark blue fleet unitforms. "Activate Onboard Weapons" All of the kybrids suddenly grow inch-long teeth made from a black metal alloy and similar claws about three inches long. Both teeth and claws look extremely sharp. "Activate Phase Fields" All of the kybrids suddenly turn silvery, as if they were all made from moving, molten silver. "Activate Time Fields." Suddenly they all turn into a silvery blur for a microsecond before moving out. The regular kybrids move in a time pocket where a single second of real time is an hour to the kybrids. In this time frame they spin back and forth in a cloud around Division, launching fly-by attack on fly-by attack within a highly condensed period of real time. Jack doesn't do things exactly like that though, as his energy is so much more bountiful. Instead of fly-bying, he warps both time and space to teleport in, land a blow, teleport to another place near Division and land another, resulting in landing two blows each second of his own time frame, totalling hundreds of crushing blows each second in real time. The next one to take action is Cruor, who had been hanging back for a little time. "Vengeance of the Fallen" Black flames shoot up his crystal rapiers along with white twirls of firgid energy, but even though those two would be opposites, they seem to cause each other to grow constantly stronger instead of fighting each other. With a rapid leap, Cruor launches at Division, blades ready to strike. Ziel begins absorbing massive amounts of soul energy and soon an aura of power forms around him and condense to the point where it feels actually solid. His eyes gain a blinding glow as incarnum and necrocarnum spiral into his form and supercharge all of the powers that he possesses. Suddenly he launches all of the power in one single soul-scorching blast of energy from his eyes with a reckless abandon for frinedly fire that is so uncharactaristic for Ziel. Zack adopts a look of mixed rage and concentration as he summons a wind across the area, then he starts playing hard chords on his guitar, summoning both music and power from the deepest pits of metal rage. As the chords summon his power, they begin to send tremors through the entire vicinity, to the point that they are actually visible in the primordial soup of basic existance. To the eyes of the defenders they were ghostly and transculent and insubstantial, but to the eyes of Division, they were as solid as anything. The fists simply hang in the air and multiply untill they are way beyong the million by number. The last chord of that song has barely rung our before the next song starts, carrying the power of one onto the next song along with its own. With every chord, hundreds and hundreds of the metal encased fists hammer into Division, passing through the defenders with ease, but striking Division with the force of a hundred dwarven warhammers each. Another dream that will never come true Just to compliment your sorrow As these lines ring out, Division feels that his mind is beset by the sorrow of all who he has killed and all their loved ones. Another life that I've taken from you A gift to add on to your pain and suffering One of the fists hammering onto Division's throat suddenly grow razors on the knuckes and becomes infused with greenish energy that causes wrecking pain. Another truth you can never believe Has crippled you completely Suddenly invisible energy encase the limbs of Division, crushing at them with the unerring force of an uncomfortable truth. All the cries you're beginning to hear Trapped in your mind, and the sound is deafening Suddenly Division alone hears all the lives of the world that he used to live in cry out in torment and fear, not because they have been shattered but because of the wrongness in Divisions aim to recreate what has rightfully passed on. Let me enlighten you This is the way I pray Living just isn't hard enough Burn me alive, inside At this point white hot flames erupt within Divison's wounds, searing with both heat and mental torment. Living my life's not hard enough Take everything away Another nightmare about to come true Will manifest tomorrow Division is suddenly assailed by a vision of the world surviving to see tomorrow, and another tomorrow and thousands more, and as his aim and ambition is torn apart, he sees himself in the vision, dwindeled into barely even being nothing. Another love that I've taken from you Lost in time, on the edge of suffering This brings up the pain and misery in Division, all the sorrow of loosing ones enitre world. Another taste of the evil I breed Will level you completely Suddenly invisible force hammers into Division with the weight of a million years of sin from both above and below at once. Bring to life everything that you fear Live in the dark, and the world is threatening With this Division feels that not only the creatures of creation are fighting against him, but the primordial essence and nature of creation itself is awakening to fight him from an infinite amount of different worlds, planes, multiverses. For every single word he sings he seems to grow in power and energy once again untill he appears as refreshed as when the struggle started. Living just isn't hard enough Burn me alive, inside The white flames erupt a third time, more powerful and ever before, this time calling them visibly tires Zack to exhaustion, thus providing a measure for his allies of how massive an amount of power there is in them this time. Living my life's not hard enough, They take everything from you Living just isn't hard enough Burn me alive, inside Living my life's not hard enough Take everything away Finally the apex of the fires amounts as Division's own power is drawn out through the wounds to fuel the fires that sear into his non-existing flesh both within and on the outside. As the last chords ring out the fists fade from existance as Zack stands, barely capable of holding on to his guitar, with the sweat dripping from him and forming a pool "below" him in the primordial soup.

The half-elf picks his guitar up and strums it, tuning it slightly as he does. The bard then joins in behind Zack in his songs, adding more power to each of Zack's attacks. In the end, Dricondis continues to play, turning Zack's song into a soothing melody that begins to heal his fellow musician. He then prepares for the next song. His guitar makes an eerie back and forth sort of noise as it plays the new song's opening. Dricondis opens his mouth and a distant voice is heard yelling. "Why wont you die!!" "Why wont you die!!" "Why wont you die!!" OOC: OOC: I figured we could do a song together if you wanted Munch. I think the battle is almost done anyway and this song seems an appropriate song to finish with. The first target of all were his fellow musician, followed closely by Sorcen and Lunoc. lunoc cannot be regenerated. To division, everything has changed. Colors have been inverted, rendering Annihilation Reaper blindingly white with bright blue eyes. division ignores this. the streaming and reflecting of light that some use to "see" is still alien to him. Show Suddenly they all turn into a silvery blur for a microsecond before moving out. The regular kybrids move in a time pocket where a single second of real time is an hour to the kybrids. In this time frame they spin back and forth in a cloud around Division, launching fly-by attack on fly-by attack within a highly condensed period of real time. Jack doesn't do things exactly like that though, as his energy is so much more bountiful. Instead of fly-bying, he warps both time and space to teleport in, land a blow, teleport to another place near Division and land another, resulting in landing two blows each second of his own time frame, totalling hundreds of crushing blows each second in real time. Ziel begins absorbing massive amounts of soul energy and soon an aura of power forms around him and condense to the point where it feels actually solid. His eyes gain a blinding glow as incarnum and necrocarnum spiral into his form and supercharge all of the powers that he possesses. Suddenly he launches all of the power in one single soul-scorching blast of energy from his eyes with a reckless abandon for frinedly fire that is so uncharactaristic for Ziel. At first, Zack was merely gathering power, but as the words Ten Thousand Fists in the Air rang out for the first time cleched fists covered in metal plate gauntlets began forming in the air. To the eyes of the defenders they were ghostly and transculent and insubstantial, but to the eyes of Division, they were as solid as anything. The fists simply hang in the air and multiply untill they are way beyong the million by number. The last chord of that song has barely rung our before the next song starts, carrying the power of one onto the next song along with its own. With every chord, hundreds and hundreds of the metal encased fists hammer into Division, passing through the defenders with ease, but striking Division with the force of a hundred dwarven warhammers each.

( it works like this; anything of division of legion, or anything made by them, is not affected by the cloud. anything else can enter the cloud, but is destroyed as it tries to leave.)

hinoban will be playing the main antagonist, and has DM authority in this thread. it is unwise to attack the antagonist at the start of the game, but your characters will have the chance to fight him at one point.

the sky above baator is similar in appearence to a shattered mirror. something has been trying to break through. a terrible groaning sound can be heard as the shards of existence are finally torn free. reality recedes around the wound, matter dares not touch it, light and darkness flee it. at the edge of the incomprehensible gash even the void is pulled back like a black cloth. lesser creatures that even look opon the wound may die instantly from the shock of seeing something that is neither something nor nothing. whatever caused this begins to force itself through the breach, altering itself at leatst partialy so that it can enter. something crashes out of the hole and lands in baator

The thing hits the ground heavily, causing it to warp dramatically. The writhing shape slowly begins to take a shadowy humanoid figure. The figure is huge, and heavily built, similar in appearance, outline-wise, to Legion. Its body is not solid anywhere, whispy and shifting, as if whatever it is, is trying to become stable. A sense of triumph emanates from the figure as a cold multi-tiered voice rumbles from within it.
"Division has come. Legion must leave"

Revelation spoke outloud as the others simply stood trying to come up with a plan. "Bets on how far he goes?"

"If Legion goes flying then this will be one hell of a fight boys!" Chaos started heading toward the battle as the others fell in beside him.

The tortured blast sears into the black figure, and the creature's substance is flayed apart, shadowy flesh charred to lifeless ash. A gentle rain of burnt remains drifts slowly to the ground.

...Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...

The sigh comes from the sky itself and from darkness surrounding Revelation, pressing in from all sides.

We thank you, Revelation. It has been to long since we have felt its sweet taste.

Two lurid pin-pricks of insidious light illuminate the blackness before Revelation's eyes. There is no emotion in their endless stare, but they simmer with a rage that is not their's to command.

Yet another entity of endless destruction, bent solely on the spread of carnage and ruin. We tire of your kind, Revelation. We tire of you.

The umbral night pulls away, rushing upwards to join the tumultuous storm brewing above the battlefield. Blood drips down from the heavens, pooling upon the ground in great crimson lakes. From the largest of these rises a dripping figure, half bone, half flayed flesh, slippery with blood and bile, infused with the darkness of oblivion. The countless spirits within the storm lurk within its gaze, behind every move it makes, and their voices whisper as it exhales through ruined lungs.

Its eyes open...and Revelation stares into the eyes of his victims. And they hunger.

Revelation snarls loudly, his deep growl rumbling through the air. He took several steps forward his tail thrashing from side to side. His dark eyes locking on the creature and he was getting ready to charge the being.

"Inflict as much as you want on me....It allows me to be one with my victoms... But I will take my time with destroying you.I will show you why the worlds hate and fear me." Fire rose up darker then the void itself.

Revelation flicked its tail outward going to grab the creature by the neck. If his tail wrapped around the creature he was going to drag it into the ground.

Genesis left the knight's side his brother was fighting something he had never seen or felt before. He had to be on his brothers side. He ran fullout moving swiftly through the battle dodging warrior after warrior. He jumped into the air, his sparkling sapphire wings erupting from his back. He took off toward his brother's fight and watched as he had already attacked.

"BROTHER! Control yourself! This battle was for us to help!"

Revelation's sinister laughter rang out as he was begining to enjoy himself.

"I AM HELPING THEM BROTHER! HELPING THEM ENJOY WHAT DEATH AWAITS THEM! I WILL SPREAD THIS PAIN TO ALL THOSE WHO DESERVE IT!"

Genesis's arm is slashed open and as he moved away blood spilled across the ground. He looked confused and when he heard Toby say sorry he knew it wasn't his falt. He quickly searched the area trying to find the source of these strange attacks.

"Revelation find and destroy who is doing this..." Genesis had many barriers in his mind and the one doing this would have to take his time to unravel what was woven inside his mind.

Revelation's took off slashing and hacking away at everything in his path, he didn't care if it was his foe or his ally. He would find the source and anyone of them could simply be the being in disguise.

"Only the weak make others do their dirty work! Come and face me so I can feast upon you!"

Toby seems to panic but does as hes instructed. His eyes suddenly change and he swings his sword at Jason sloppily then takes a few steps back.

Shirin has found what made this one so special. The boy had power, though he'd likely never be able to tap into it on his own. The young knight began to glow bright yellow. His glow spread to his blade and to the young man's eyes. Golden beams shot from his eyes and streaked towards Genesis.

The beam slammed into Genesis, he had just stood up when it slammed into him from behind. He fell foward hitting the ground hard and laid there.

Revelation saw the attack and snarled loudly, he picked up his scythe roared with rage. He started running toward Toby and leapt into the air spinning his scythe.

"Its time to make you bleed BOY!"

Revelation gripped his scythe at the last minute with both hands and went to drive it into Toby's shoulder.

As the blow from Xalax's hammer lands, there is a deafening peal, as of church bells. Thin, vividly white lines appear in the midst of the fighting -- it is as though they had always been there, only never noticed.

They are in the shape of a door, lines as on an architect's drawing board outlining all of the angles and features. It looks like the door to a cathedral, and with another peal, it opens onto darkness. A man, dressed unassumingly in a black suit and gold tie steps into the arena.

He is old, and his eyes are tired. But he walks with a surprising litheness, wobbling only slightly as he puts his weight on his gleaming black cane. Watching him walk is like looking at a spider as it crawls. His gait is smooth but uneven as he periodically tilts to hold himself up on his cane.

"Division." his voice booms out across the arena. "My name is Aral Taer, and I have a proposition for you." He pauses at the edge of the raw magic that surrounds Division. "If I assist you in destroying these irritants..." Aral Taer looks about, surveying the fighters assembled "... and once you've destroyed this aspect of reality, let me draw afresh a new world on the clean canvas you create."

IC: Shirin is struck with the scorching rays dead in the chest. He howls in pain as the rays burn his very soul. The sick smell of burnt soul billows up like smoke from the scorched holes left by the eye rays. Shirin was not accustomed to fighting physically, being a spellcaster in life and death.

Unable to move quickly enough, the warforged's claws rend the lich's incorporeal flesh. Sending Shirin face down from the agony of the attack, face first into the necrocarnum.

He abandons his quest for answers as he looks at Division. He looks to the mangled body of Legion and the struggles of the defenders as they try to harm the multidimensional Division. The young knight pulls himself to his feet slowly and grasps his sword.

Shirin is impaled with Ziel's long sharp claws as he's slammed into the ground. He yells in pain, his consciousness fading as the pain, despair, and hatred wrack his mind.

The suel lich is almost unconscious when he instinctively casts a spell. Green electricity escapes his failing incoporeal body, lashing out at Ziel. The electricity's effects are the least of Ziel's worries though, as he sees that the lightning is semi-solid and everything it's lashes touch melts as though touched by acid.

With the acidic electric lashes defending him and buying him time, Shirin coughs ghostly blood and begins to pull himself back to his feet.

Ziel has left behind a heavy amount of necrocarnum and the concentration of it makes it extremely hard to see. Worse yet, while Shirin was within the cloud it seems to have ancored to Shirin and now follows him around, and some of it seems to have even started to "condensate" upon his form, making the emotional assault keep running.

Ziel is still leaking Necrocarnum but now it doesn't linger around Ziel anymore. Rather, it emerges from Ziel and flies to join the could around Shirin.

Ziel throws himself backwards from the acidic lightning. Where it strikes him, more necrocarnum seems to rise but nothing but the spikes that adorn Ziel's body seems to have been hit, and they regenerate with an alarming speed.

Ziel lets out a powerful roar that makes the entire soulstrand cage that Ziel and Shirin fights in tremble, and the sonic blast threatens to knock the Suel lich down again and worse yet, it is sending the acidic lightning on a direct collision course with him as well.

The ground shakes violently as Chaos ran toward his opponent, the elements swirled and sparked around his very being as he saw a new challenge. He had waited for long enough and now he would get his chance to destroy this foe...

Chaos exploded forward drawing in energy into his fists, he jumped high into the air and came straight down bringing his hands together to smash Division into the ground.

"Lets play!"

Annihilation Reaper simply floats forward moving directly through the net as if it was not even there. A creature with the necessary perception does however notice that Annihilation Reaper is doing something special to avoid the net, simply reallocating the places where he existed and the ones where he doesn't to allow the net to pass through him without ever touching a place where he exists.

With a loud crack, the thing gathered energy in less than an instant, and two surges of deep red soulfire arched out from the insanely powerful creature and formed a spiral around Division. Suddenly, the soulfire turned into what appeared like perfect copies of Annihilation Reaper... what might seem even mroe scary is the fact that they radiated the same impossible amount of power. The copies surround Division to all sides in both the three dimensions of space and the fourth dimension of time.

All at the same time, the Annihilation Reaper copies assault with the same impossible momentum and infinite mass as the real one did just moments before, and both back and forth in time.

((Just for the reference, this guy is more powerful than Legion was...))

(perhaps physically, but legion was able to fight division and break his shield only because of their connection. in a strength against strength duel division would have crushed legion... well, faster.)

meanwhile, lunoc had hurled himself toward division from long distance, but something peculiar happened about midway through. he disappeared.

the copies collide on target, and the surrounding area tears open like old cloth, and the many fracture points around the remnants of baator grow larger.

Sorcen directs the black and green cloud of gnats towards Division with one hand while continuing his chant. As the gnats descend to within about thrity feet from Division, they begin exhaling thousands of hellfireballs.

Sorcen makes an arcane gesture with his other hand, the storm cloud created by Dricondis is torn apart suddenly as a meteor burns the sky in its trajectory for Division. As it nears, living things are seen crawling on the meteor's surface.

(I say this hits, but as my and munch's characters occupy the same area right now, I cant really say.)

As the meteor comes in, it seems to pass right through Annihilation Reaper as if he wasn't there.

It seems that none of the beings are the same in appearence, possibly powerful beings exiled by Sorcen long ago. They drain Division's energy in red streams of light that pour from the anti-being into their hungry mouths.

division's exteirior seems to crack, and falls away like a shell surrounding a largely obliterated lunoc. the broken damwulf floats slowly away in the gravity-defiant sphere. smoke suddenly inherits a large amount of lunoc's power and skill.

where lunoc was before, division now stands. he grimaces. his body was covered in wounds that went deeper inwards than his dimensions should allow. he raises his hands as the fractures spread far and wide. bits and pieces of the universe begin to fall out of being. the process is quickly accelerating.

The first thing that happens is Zack landing next to the other guitarist.

"You sure know how to rock a place up good.... too bad you're outta order, but let's get to do something 'bout that shall we?"

With those words he started playing a song that was written by legends of rock and when he reaced a certain part of the lyrics, revitalizing energy started to flow out of him with the sound, healing wounds, restoring used energy and even ressurecting some of his allies. Next to Jack, a woman appears out of nowhere. Her skin has a slightly metallic silver sheen, and her clothing is tight fitting as if she was simply coated in liquid silver, leaving only way for her face. She has dark brown hair that is long enough to blur the outlines of her rear in spite of the rather revealing clothing. Her eyes are brightly yellow with a faint glow. Her face is finely shaped and beautiful, as goes for the rest of her body. She appears to be unarmed

"The gate hub is completed and the core uplink is coming online just now sir."

She then unfurls a pair of bright golden butterfly wings and with a single beat of them she closes the gap between her and Zack, launching herself into his arms and kissing him passionately, thus cutting the last few chords of his song short.

As their kiss stops she whispers rapidly to him with a scared voice

"I'm so relieved to see you, do you have any idea how afraid I was that you'd die and never come back to me?"

Zack shook his head with a kind smile as he responded.

"Have you forgotten that I'm immortal? silly gir...."

Another kiss cut off the last part of the word before she responded.

"Not if he shatters the Chroma and your father isn't there to guard it."

"That still makes this the safest place I can be, the Chroma is out of Division's reach for the time being and while I stay he can't go there.... besides, do you see who is fighting on our side?"

Zack breaks away from her embrace to point at Annihilation Reaper, causing the jaws of the woman to drop momentarily, but she regains her focus quickly, with a question.

"If they are here, how comes Division is still here? Their power combined should be more than enough to end the fight..."

Zack looks thoughtful as he responds

"I'm not completely sure of that, but in any case, I don't think they've come here for the kill.... I think they're making sure a certain individual gets a chance to have its fate happen correctly... One thing is certain though, they're just toying with Division right now, they haven't let out their true power yet."

Annihilation Reaper spins around to face Division once again and his eyes flares up with red for a brief second... or at least that's what the defenders see. To division, everything has changed. Colors have been inverted, rendering Annihilation Reaper blindingly white with bright blue eyes. A single phrase rings through the minds of all of the defenders with an authority that have most of them begin to act even before their consciousness deciphers the meaning of the words.

"Play you Aces."

Zack looks at his girlfriend and barks an order that doesn't allow opposition.

"Get out of here now"

She complies instantly, blinking out of view in the same way she appeared before.

Jack is the first one to react, having had an ace coming up already. Just as Annihilation Reaper's move commences, he finishes connecting to the Core and suddenly, he feels a familiar feeling as nearly unlimited energy floods his system for a moment before he reconfigures to containing energy in amounds that would have caused his system to suffer a meltdown if it hadn't been for Hunger.

At the same time, Jack opens a one way path using the Gate and suddenly 200 of his kind appears in a cluster around him. They look like identical twins, and the only thing that distinguishes Jack from the others is the fact that while he is wearing baggy clothos with camuflage patterns, the others are wearing dark blue fleet unitforms.

"Activate Onboard Weapons"

All of the kybrids suddenly grow inch-long teeth made from a black metal alloy and similar claws about three inches long. Both teeth and claws look extremely sharp.

"Activate Phase Fields"

All of the kybrids suddenly turn silvery, as if they were all made from moving, molten silver.

"Activate Time Fields."

"Vengeance of the Fallen"

Black flames shoot up his crystal rapiers along with white twirls of firgid energy, but even though those two would be opposites, they seem to cause each other to grow constantly stronger instead of fighting each other. With a rapid leap, Cruor launches at Division, blades ready to strike.

Zack adopts a look of mixed rage and concentration as he summons a wind across the area, then he starts playing hard chords on his guitar, summoning both music and power from the deepest pits of metal rage. As the chords summon his power, they begin to send tremors through the entire vicinity, to the point that they are actually visible in the primordial soup of basic existance.

At first, Zack was merely gathering power, but as the words Ten Thousand Fists in the Air rang out for the first time cleched fists covered in metal plate gauntlets began forming in the air. To the eyes of the defenders they were ghostly and transculent and insubstantial, but to the eyes of Division, they were as solid as anything. The fists simply hang in the air and multiply untill they are way beyong the million by number. The last chord of that song has barely rung our before the next song starts, carrying the power of one onto the next song along with its own.
With every chord, hundreds and hundreds of the metal encased fists hammer into Division, passing through the defenders with ease, but striking Division with the force of a hundred dwarven warhammers each.

As the last chords ring out the fists fade from existance as Zack stands, barely capable of holding on to his guitar, with the sweat dripping from him and forming a pool "below" him in the primordial soup.

Dricondis pulls himself to his feet, tugging the front of his cowboy hat in thanks to Zack. The half-elf picks his guitar up and strums it, tuning it slightly as he does. The bard then joins in behind Zack in his songs, adding more power to each of Zack's attacks.

In the end, Dricondis continues to play, turning Zack's song into a soothing melody that begins to heal his fellow musician. He then prepares for the next song.

His guitar makes an eerie back and forth sort of noise as it plays the new song's opening. Dricondis opens his mouth and a distant voice is heard yelling.

OOC: I figured we could do a song together if you wanted Munch. I think the battle is almost done anyway and this song seems an appropriate song to finish with.

healing wounds, restoring used energy and even ressurecting some of his allies. The first target of all were his fellow musician, followed closely by Sorcen and Lunoc.

lunoc cannot be regenerated.

To division, everything has changed. Colors have been inverted, rendering Annihilation Reaper blindingly white with bright blue eyes.

division ignores this. the streaming and reflecting of light that some use to "see" is still alien to him.

Suddenly they all turn into a silvery blur for a microsecond before moving out. The regular kybrids move in a time pocket where a single second of real time is an hour to the kybrids. In this time frame they spin back and forth in a cloud around Division, launching fly-by attack on fly-by attack within a highly condensed period of real time.

Jack doesn't do things exactly like that though, as his energy is so much more bountiful. Instead of fly-bying, he warps both time and space to teleport in, land a blow, teleport to another place near Division and land another, resulting in landing two blows each second of his own time frame, totalling hundreds of crushing blows each second in real time.

Ziel begins absorbing massive amounts of soul energy and soon an aura of power forms around him and condense to the point where it feels actually solid. His eyes gain a blinding glow as incarnum and necrocarnum spiral into his form and supercharge all of the powers that he possesses. Suddenly he launches all of the power in one single soul-scorching blast of energy from his eyes with a reckless abandon for frinedly fire that is so uncharactaristic for Ziel.

the crack seems to close from his effort

it WILL end

a thick turmulous cloud begins to push outward from division's center. it bleeds outwards at the fractures ahead of the main sphere.

( it works like this; anything of division of legion, or anything made by them, is not affected by the cloud. anything else can enter the cloud, but is destroyed as it tries to leave.)
