I've noticed that Sorcen's arena now has a Tavern, two arenas, and a generic item shop, so I'm going to make a Magic Items shop. Relic is a warforged artifacer, highly skilled in modifying and creating magic items, as well as mechanical items. If I put a star(*) next to an items then it's modified or made and can only be purchased here OR can just only be purchased here. If I put a number in parenthesis(#) than thats how many of that item he has in stock. If I don't post a number in parenthesis(#) then he has an infinite amount of them. I'll post what items he has at least once a page. He works like Madam Tera, trading items for items. After completing his shop, the warforged man hangs a sign up on the door. Relic's Magic Artifaces reads the sign. inside the shop hangs another sign, reading:

-Decanters of endless fire*

-Magic carpets

-Firewalls*(1)

-Vases of healing flowers*

-Swords of seeking (10)

-Potions of growth

-Cubes of force(3)

-Wand of seeking fireball*(1)

-Bows of acidic arrows*

-Friday bolts*(13)

-Splitter's blades*(2)

-Trays of food*

-Floating Shields*

-Cups of Life*(2)

-Anti-Armors*

-Mage armor*(1)

-T30's Portals*

-T30's Warforged Armor*

-Assorted Legendary Weapons*(2)

-Fool's Blades*

-Silver Tongue*(1)

-Claws of the Ocelot*

a huge black pit fiend opens the door, then shrinks to medium size to fit the doorway. he wears plate armor and carries a ferocious maul.
well, a new magic shop...hmmm.
he examines the shop's wears.
what is a firewall? I gather that it creates a wall of fire but are there any special properties to the item?

"As a matter of fact, yes, sir. No psionic or mechanical effects can pass through the firewall. The problem, though, is that your effects sometimes get stopped too. I'm still working on that.

Yes, it is a magic artifact. Would you like to see it? But I warn you, it has an enchantment only I can remove. It only functions in this shop.

the devil seems glad to be rid of the device.
the device glows brighter and then dims in a subtle pattern. in a stange way, it seems as it if is calling out to the warforged shopkeeper.

the device activates when a construct touches it. relic becomes imediately aware of the nature of what he is holding. the computer is alive, and comunicates with the warforged. it has sustained serious damage, but seems to be reparing itself.
your assistence is requ-I-iii-reQUIRed by this unit. I am dMaged.
most of the device is dormant, the voice relic hears is only a recording

exellent. I thank you.

exid merlin observes his surroundings.

A man comes rushing in through the door with a small wooden box under his arm. He sets the box carefully on the counter. "I'll trade you the contents of my magic box for one of them T30 portals and three of thos fire decanters."

Relic's head shifts as gears grind, and a moment later he has two faces, one on each side of his head. One face says, Well, sir? What is in your box? The other says, And what would you like to trade for, Exid Merlin?[

what would you suggest? I need to augment my defensive and offensive capabilities.
definately a decanter of endless fire, but possibly

a sword of seeking
mage armor
a legendary weapon
a splitters blade
or a wand of acidic arrows

For what you have brought, I would give you a legendary weapon, decanter of endless fire, and a floating shield. The armor already includes mage armor.

There is a choice of 3 legendary weapons.
The Maestro's Rapier,
The Planetary Mace,
The Frostsword.

The Maestro's Rapier speeds up your perceptions, causing everything to slow down from your perspective, including you. The Planetary Mace strikes with the mass of a planet. The Frostsword commands winter.

those are certainly interesting weapons. any suggestions as to my choice?

Relic thinks for a moment, gears grinding. For defense, the Maestro's Rapier is extremely useful, while The Planetary Mace is more offensive. And The Frostsword is a fine balance between the two.

I will take the frostsword. balance seems the logical answer.
