| #1sprattooNov 25, 2010 18:42:51 | I know I'm not alone in my love of AD&D and 2nd ed. I have been piecing together my own original content to produce adventures in Module format. It occured to me that it wouldn't be too tough to print them out..... if they are good, someone might even pay a few bucks for it. I see the 4th ed licensing is out there, but whats the deal with making .PDF and Print modules intended for use with 2nd ed? I obviously don't want to invest in a lawyer to post a bunch of .pdf modules to a website, and print off a dozen or so to spread around. The copyright content in question would only pertain to a) This module is NOT an official Wizards or AD&D product. and b) referencing monsters in encounters and c) Magic/items/treasure common to the game. Can someone help me out here? |

Wizards of the Coast may be very protective of certain critters though. Illithids and Beholders come to mind, I'm not sure if you can even reference them. Contact adventure writers who are selling on rpgnow and see what they are doing. Worst case scenario, is that you just change stuff a bit and the monsters, etc, become yours not theirs. |
