well I wanted to make sure and let people see this book. It looks awsome to me. The best part is that it is not replaceing classes but adding them...The martial Artest is the one I am most looking forward to...

This is a GSL success story in the making...take a look

It would be nice if there was a touch more information. I was a bit disappointed to have to register to see a preview only to have it be a copy of the index.

This being the one that Necromancer Games was planning on putting out before they opted out of the GSL in its current form, so I'm glad that they handed it back to Ari so he could put it out with ERP. I'd been looking forward to it to say the least.

How does the Powers list look? Any ideas if they are mostly for the new classes or if there are additional powers for the base 4.0 classes as well?

There'll be more previews forthcoming. This is just the first.

When is this coming out? My group and I are desperate for some third party class/power books to come out. Can we pre-order? Seriously, salivating, her.e

Awesome preview, look forward to comparing your take on the druid to Wotc's and Goodmans.

I love having options.

Comes out in October (not sure of the exact date). And yep, you can pre-order from the Expeditious Retreat Press site: http://www.xrpshop.citymax.com/4E.html

I personaly can't wait for the Shire Halfling. 4th ed's take on halflings is one of my least favorite aspects of the game.

check the previews...although I have to admite that race didn't grab me at first, Ari Marmell did a great job with what I would have thought of as unworkable fluff...and BANG a great sub race

Having finally signed up I'm just not that interested in this book. Getting a new version of a race I've already bought (Halfling) while also getting 2 races I'll be getting in PHB2 and 3 classes I'll also be getting in PHB2, it's just not that interesting. Now I could buy the Advanced Player's Guide over the PHB2, except in the PHB2 I get an extra 5 classes whereas in the APG I only get 1 extra class. Also with the races I get an extra 3 races that I don't get in the APG.

Having said that I do wish you the best of luck with your book.

I eagerly awaited midnight to download the PDF. I've only had it for about half an hour so I have only read a few sections thoroughly. Everything I've read is being declared official in my games (although I might call the Shire Halflings Hin.)

The Crafting Rules are probably my favorite part of the book so far, and I know I'll have a few players that will be excited by them as well.

I'll give a better review later.

:edit: I had to mention how cool the Orc-Blooded were before I head off to sleep. Savage Ferocity is very cool, and the background is great. Seriously the Shire-halfling and the Orc blooded are enouph to justify the price for me. Thank you very much.

Well, for what it's worth, I got my author's copies today. (Technically yesterday, but I couldn't get to the apartment office to pick up the package until today.)

That doesn't automatically mean anything for orders, since they wouldn't have shipped out in the same batch, but it does at least suggest that Joe and Suzi (the Expeditious Retreat Press folks) are on the ball as far as shipping.
