Any chance we'll be allowed to make animal companions or familiars using the SRD in the coming future? Alternatively, is it okay for us to have similar rules to govern such things without calling them such? Obviously for it to work, they would have to be similar enough to make it clear without actually spelling out how to do it. So with that in mind, could I include familiar information in a monster stat block and expect readers to utilize arcane power for them? Of course, this is more speculation than anything as I understand we have no resident lawyers at present.
