| #1narackJan 28, 2009 7:00:50 | I can't find any book template on the website. anyone know if it exist or not. I'm trying to make a "campaign guide" alike with all i have created so far. I had 3 requests from guys that i know at my game shop that would like to run my campaign but my notes are too spare and that's why with a nice book template and couple time to gather all the info and typing them down will make it easier for them to run it / read it :P. I already gave them few photocopies of important notes that i founded about where they are running but liek i said, a nice compilation with formatting would be nicer (i dream of an index table :D) |
| #2brambuldonJan 28, 2009 7:18:30 | My book's template is this: - Introduction (a brief description of the world and a the worlds central themes) - Races (New Races, PHB Races as they fit in my world, then other common races, such as ones from the MM) - Classes (New, then PHB classes as they fit in my world) - Feats (New feats if any) - Regions of the world (including maps and regional benefits if you want to go that far) - Almanac (religion, history, politics. Any thing that you think is important really that doesn't fit into the other sections) |
| #3fatumd20Jan 28, 2009 9:41:14 | Yeah, there is no template that I am aware of. You could certainly use the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide and Players Guide as a reference point. If you need a program to help organize everything but don't have the money to spend on something snazzy, I highly suggest MS Publisher. 2007 if you can get it. It works in a pinch and it pretty flexible. |
| #4narackJan 29, 2009 22:02:53 | I manage to make something similar with MS Word it's on my sharing account at mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/narack it's Moaroc Campaign Guide.pdf I just started so it's incomplete and full of mistake and the writing isn't the best thing in the world, but i'm proud of the result visually speaking. that's the important. |
