First, I'm hereby calling dibs on creating this app. Please, be a kind loving soul and don't steal the idea just because you're a better programmer and know more about the GSL than I do. Secondly, I'd like to ask briefly if this is the order which producing something under the GSL:
Is that basically how the GSL and SRD works? Finally, here's my idea just to see if it's kosher (har har har let's all laugh at my username) by the GSL rules. And to see if other people out there would like to use such a product. The first question I have on the GSL and SRD is would errata content also allowable for SRD products? For instance, if the DCs have changed on skill challenges, can I use the updated table? I'd like to put together a "DM Screen" for the iPad. Having receive one for Chanukah from my wife, I already swear by using it while DMing! The App DM Tools is amazing. I 100% recommend any other DMs out there to use it! But it's missing reference tables and info. That's like I'd like this app to do. I'd take the information from the SRD which is also found on the standard DM Screen and make an app out of it. DMs would have quick access to the most vital information in and out of combat. Rarely do I need to look up anything that's not included on a DM Screen during combat, having a lot of this stuff available and on hand really helps. But, what if I forget my physical DM Screen? Well, now I could say... "There's an app for that!" Any thoughts or feedback anybody could share? |

When WOTC gets a hold of it they're more than welcome to tell me what I should change to make sure it's not infringing on any copyright laws. Thanks for the input. It's still a fun work in progress. Here's hoping I can make a few bucks off it! |
