4th seems relatively light on third party stuff. Of course there are things out there but you really have to be careful about buying them and allowing them in play. Most aren't game breaking in themselves, and aren't made with that intention, but combined with some core stuff you could potentially have a real problem. There are probably some really cool third party stuff out there, but unfortunately 4th isn't nearly as easy for third part publishers to acces as 3rd was.

I've been really impressed with what I've seen so far of the Zeitgeist adventure path over on EnWorld. They also wrote another completed path, though I haven't looked read any of it since it was less interesting to me personally.

I've also heard good about the work Open Design is doing, particularly the Lost City and Soldiers of Fortune (both with lead designers who do official work of WOTC incidentally). They also post things on theirblog

I'll second Goodman Games.  Also check out the three books Mongoose published before they bailed on 4e.  check out DriveThruRPG, they have tons of 4e stuff.

Hi, Zelkon!

Nosfecatu Publishing focuses on delivering elements of Philippine Mythology to D&D 4E. We're only a bunch of part-timers with RL jobs, though, so we've only had the good fortune to come up with two pdf products. We have a bunch of unfinished ideas, though!

Tikbalang: Guardians of Kalikasan explores an impulsive, equine fey creature with an affinity for the winds.

Asuang: Shapechanging Horrors looks into the sinister shapechangers that are the Filipino embodiments of evil. This group of monsters include the segmenting manananggal, which is itself a derivative of the pananggalan. Tongue Out (For more info on these creatures outside of D&D, I suggest this documentary by Jordan Clark.)

Incidentally, I think they are good, but that's just me tooting my own horn. Laughing

I hope you check them out!

Does it also touch peoples and lands around the Philipines, like the Malay islands?

I'd LOVE an update or remake of Nyambe to 4th ed...

Hi, Ubbergeek!

Unfortunately, we only plan on doing Philippine lore in the foreseeable future. It's the niche we've decided to focus on - being Filipinos ourselves, we believe we can adapt these stories to D&D 4E without ditching key elements of the original lore. I am not as confident that we can do that with other regional myths other than our own.

I have not heard of Nyambe before though, and I'll look into it if there are elements that also exist in Philippine myth. Smile

(EDITED. I noticed that my original post was not entirely coherent. >.>)

I'll second Diasexmachina's Amethyst, for some tech in your fantasy. Though, when they drop UltraModern 4e and Neurospastia, I will love the hell out of it.

I just checked out your site and read some blog entries: very exciting and original stuff.

I wonder if anyone has done any adaptation of East Indian mythology for Fourth Edition. Hindoo and other Indian myths and monsters are unique and wonderfully weird.

sorry if I was confusing, ahahha, the Nyambe stuff was unrelated to yours, but oddly, could be cool if mixed.... Like the Malagasy culture equivalent - the Malgaches are related to Malays and others too.

Well, some more information on what kind of stuff you're looking for would be helpful. Undecided

To see a lot of things 4e head over to RPGNow.com; they've tagged 4e stuff, so you should be able to find it.

Personally I'm a fan of Sneakattackpress' adventures, which provide a lot of bang for your buck IMHO.

If I can offer my own shameless plug, might I recommend you check out The Haunting of Larvik Island by Stephen Newton (moi.) It's a 1st-level adventure available in both print and pdf format. I made enough free-preview pages avaialble on RPGNow that you can read the entire adventure summary and have the bulk of the first encounter to test.

Amethyst is pretty awesome. It has new fantasy material and classes/equipment/vehicles/skills for modern/sci-fi games. The same company (Dias Ex Machina) should also be releasing Ultramodern4 sometime in the near future. It has some pretty cool and unique rule additions.

Goodman games has some good stuff. I also like a lot of the stuff in Combat Advantage (I think that's Emerald Press).

Fourthcore is very different from the standard 4e mindset, but if you miss some of the deadliness of older editions and the save or die effects, it might be for you.
