Is there a Word doc for 4E similar to the old SRD where I can copy-paste information in order to make campaign doccuments for my game group? (I'd like to have lists of powers, feats, etc, without having to re-type everything.) |

The new GSL license requires owernship of the books and largely forbids reproduction of monsters, stats, etc. The new SRD effectively is a list of terms (class name, power names, magic items, etc.) that you can use in the creation of your product and also use the D&D logo. This latter bit - the use of the logo - is the big carrot. You might want to check out Matt Jame's Loremaster.org as he's written/moderated several interesting articles/blogs on the subject of GSL usage. And as always, Wizards would point you at www.wizards.com/d20 |

Since you are using this for your own campaign and not for publishing, here are some suggestions: -Copy and paste from the pdf (they are no longer available for sale but maybe you can find someone who has the older ones). -Retype the sections you need. Boring and tedious, but not impossible, especially if you only need a few specific things, like powers blocks to make custom power cards. -Get a DDI subscription and copy and paste from the character builder and/or compendium. -Get a third party character builder or whatever software suits you and do the same. |
