| #1psyguardAug 24, 2012 8:45:56 | Not sure howmany people are aware of this but I figure I'll spread the word before it's over. I think most of us know Reaper Miniatures Well they have a subline they call Bones. These are cheaper plastic figs. Not bad quality for plastic. They decided to do a Kickstarter to set up a new batch of them and. It's kind of gotten crazy like 2 million dollars crazy The important part of this post is this: There are a large pile of miniatures up for grabs if you have the money to pledge. It started small but with every stretch goal it's gotten bigger. With everything from adventurers to Elementals to Giants in it. You won't get the things till March but it's a pretty damn good deal. www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/... |

| #3psyguardAug 25, 2012 17:47:41 | And it's done. $3,429,000 apparently 3rd highest Kickstarter to date. I have landed myself 240 minatures for $100 plus I put in some more to get a few cool looking extras like an 8 inch Cthulhu and a Zombie Dragon If you missed out, I think you will still be able to buy them when they show up in your local store but that won't be till sometime next year. Me I'm thinking of holding a Painting Party when my shipment shows up in March. Anyone else get in on this deal? |
| #4crazy_monkeyAug 25, 2012 18:01:15 | I watched it with rather avid interest but couldn't find the money in my budget to contribute. That, and I'm a little too lazy to paint minis. :P I'm a fan of WotC's pre-painted minis and the counters that came in products like Monster Vault. Still, the Reaper kickstarter was quite impressive to watch. |

I won't paint them myself, but my son will soon be old enough where I can let him. In the meantime, I can go with unpainted just fine. |

I tried to resist the temptation to add more but the Necromancers broke my will and the 8" Cthulhu stomped it flat. ... As it stands now If I trade in the Metal Sophi, I'm looking at $100 of extras. So Cthulhu, probably both undead dragons, and I'm thinking an extra set of dwarves cause it is damn hard to find Female Dwarf figs. Haven't decided how I'm spending the rest |
| #7YoungOnceAug 27, 2012 21:39:06 | Couldn't pass it up... Without a doubt, the best deal I have ever seen in minis... Got Vampire level and a few extras... Also plan on trading the Sophie, maybe for the case... I love playing D&D with mInis! I wish there was a robust trading and selling market here on the forums, without having to go to the online stores. |
