I just uploaded a pre-release review of Dias Ex Machina's BioHazard Playtest Module, which uses their upcoming Amethyst Setting and Rules System.  The BioHazard is a "zombie apoloypse" adventure, and shows just how far you can work with the D&D 4e system to create a very interesting game - the link for the review can be found below:

Nice review. Having played the adventure myself I completely agree with it. Even if you're not interested in Amethyst it makes for a fun little one-shot.

this looks awesome. my one big concern is the operators healing power. is it a typo, beacuse it looks pretty terrible.

Which one? I'm pretty sure all the powers are correct. I mean she has a heal power usable twice per encounter that grants more HP than the target's healing surge (at least at this level, and the math behind it isn't given in the adventure). It's not as good as D&D leader powers (being a standard and range of touch) but this is meant to represent someone actually providing medical care and I think it does that, plus she has other healing abilities as well. I imagine that class also has other healing abilities that aren't available to the pregen.

Well, the one power heals 10...but that goes up depending on certain issues.  Healing ten points with characters that have around 30-40 isn't bad.  For the operator, that is 2 higher than his surge value.  He heals dependand on his heal skill so certain items which increase the Heal skill and the Skill Focus feat can all increase this value.  Take Skill Focus and suddently, that 10 becomes a 13.  Up your Attribute to 20, there's another 1...plus half level gives you another 5 by 10th level.

Once again, this is promoted as a PLAYTEST module so if you have issues, post it and we'll listen and throw it by our group and see if we need to change it...simple as that.  If there is stuff you like...post that to.

And don't take my word for it.  Bonenaga was a skeptical outsider to the process less than two months ago and this advice has greatly affectedd the final result of the game.

/Agree.  We won't know the full scope of Operator powers until after the official release, but I think it's a good presentation for "advanced first aid".  It fits well with the scenario too.
