I haven't been able to find an answer to these specific questions on the GSL forum or on ENWorld. So I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with the following:

1) Regarding Section 5.5, "Licensed Products" - part of the section reads "no Licensed Product will (a) include web sites." Does this mean that third-party publishers are restricted under the terms of the license from creating websites supporting their publications?

2) I notice that in Section 5.3, the Advertising Legal Text currently consists of: "DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Compatibility Logo ⁚ & © Wizards of the Coast in the USA and other countries. Used with permission." Uh, that ampersand looks a little odd. Are we sure that isn't a typo?

Thank you very much for your time.

Companies can make websites to promote GSL products. Websites are excluded from being a licensed product and cannot use the GSL.

this is not a typo. It states that the GSL compatibility logo is both a trademark and (&) copyright of WOTC.

Thanks for dropping by and giving us a straight answer, Scott. Would it be possible for you to clarify the company's stance on this? The GSL reads that no licensed product will "include" websites. Would companies be allowed to advertise their website in their product, be it a full page advert or just a line like most do with their website being listed?

Yes companies can advertise or sell their GSL products on a web site or put a website url/advert on a GSL product.

Websites can not be under the license.

I see. What is the company's policy regarding preview materials involving the 4e system posted on promotional websites? Or in other words: if I write a GSL-licensed publication, can I post a short preview of the publication on my website?

Ah. Now I understand. Thank you.

Agreed. Thank you very much!

Section 4.2 and 5.3 discuss advertising and logo use on a web site.

Sigh. Just when you think you've read a document carefully... Thank you very much for your time. I appreciate you answering my questions like this.
