| #1frothsofJan 11, 2012 12:37:14 | so-i found the 4e license confusing. i dont want to make any money on this, it would be free. so can i have adventures mention the name of a mm3 monster (without stat block?)
can i add to a published campaign setting, like have a city set in the shadowfell, or do i need to make it from scratch?
basically i would want it to be a grab bag of new monsters, new traps and terrain, a short adventure, and a campaign site that gets built on from issue to issue
so would i if i have a trap or terrain just have to say 'found in the dm guide' or the like or can i just put the license on, have a section on traps without referencing any further? or every time i mention something i have to source it?
if anyone is bored and wants to help let me know
also since im not trying to sell it i dont really care about it having an official dnd logo on it, if that helps me in any way |

From what I understand, you would be able to reference existing items even without a license.
