I am a wizard, level 2 (call me a noob if you must). I picked enlarge spellbook for my first-level feat (wanted more daily options because I like damage spells and summoning spells) along with alchemist (I traded ritual caster for it).

I have several ideas for what feats I want, but I am having trouble narrowing it down. The list is as follows:

arcane implement proficiency

careful summoner

dual implement spellcaster

enlarge spell

improved initiative

quick draw

Thanks in advance. :3

Umm ... okay, you're a noob.  You seem to be expecting that, so I'll give it to you.  Anyway, I don't play 4E, so take my advice with a grain of salt:  I'd go with either Enlarge Spell or Careful Summoner (depending on what the latter does).  If neither of those feats make your character more effective at his chosen method of killing stuff, pick Improved Initiative, since there's nothing wrong with going first, and IIRC you can always delay your action to take advantage of something else.

I'd honestly put that at the bottom of the list. The only class that particularly cares about going first is those with first strike, and in fact as a wizard you'll often want to go later giving the rest of the team a chance to lure the monsters into nice burst 1 formations :3. Plus Quick Draw, gives you half the initiative bonus and has a bonus that I'd honestly take a  -2 penalty to initiative for, admittedly far less useful to a wizard, but still moreso than I.I. IMHO.

Improved Initiative is actually pretty good for a controller, I think, just because of what their job is; to screw up the enemy's ability to enact their strategy.  It's easier to do that before they've all had a chance to move, plus if you go first you can often catch enemies in a cluster, which is a fine time to use a nice hefty Area Burst attack.  IMHO, as well.

I'll be honest, I'd take Implement Expertise for whatever implement you use.  Hitting is always nice.

I Share the same opinion.  Implement Expertise for a controller is very good, considering the number of time you'll roll per encounter, if you miss, well sometime thats a very good status effect that misses with it. i'd go with that.

While not necessary, iniative is great for controller, i would eventually take improve iniative, it wont be a waste, some powers played quickly before the ennemies started their moves can completely destroy their early strategy, for example slowing/immobilizing them right off the bat it's setting them up to start their first 2-3 rounds all together away from the more vulnerable members in your party.  An encounter is generally "resolved" in 4-5 rounds, even if it could take 10+ rounds to be officially over.

Armor profiency leather is not a bad choice, +1 armor, no requirement, no penality. Dual implement spellcaster is very good too.

Anyway, you seems to know what youre doing, except i would take asap implement expertise as 2nd feat :P

To see what sort of racial feats you might have available.

Have you considered "Twist the Arcane Fabric"?

Hmm.... I'll look into that. Which book is "twist the arcane fabric" in? (hasn't looked at any racial feats)

Arcane Power; it's also available (of course) in the character builder.

Check-check. What about Eladrin Sword Wizardry?

Not a bad choice, either, if you have a magical longsword.  Certainly would be fitting, flavor-wise.

Yeah. It'd also conserve minor actions. No switching between sword, spellbook, and wand.
