| #2Crimson_ConcertoMar 11, 2009 22:59:28 | It's proficiency bonus? Yes, that's a bonus to attack rolls. |
| #3zeratulcraftMar 11, 2009 23:07:37 | It's proficiency bonus? Yes, that's a bonus to attack rolls. In 3.5 there is no proficiency bonus, only the lack of a penalty incurred by being non proficient, so I'm not really sure what the question is. |
| #4KerrusMar 12, 2009 1:28:56 | If a weapon has has a +X bonus that isn't being used by an enchantment, then yes, you add that bonus to your attack rolls. |
| #5oxybeMar 12, 2009 9:38:54 | attack rolls in 3.5: d20+BAB+stat (str=melee/dex=ranged)+magic weapon bonus+other(size, flanking, spells, ect...) if you're not proficient with a weapon, like say... a wizard trying to use a greatsword... you're going to take a -4 penalty on the roll. |
| #6MrCustomerMar 12, 2009 13:50:39 | Just a 3.5 newb question.Do I add the weapons attack bonus to the d20 attack roll? Yes you would, This is called an Enhancement bonus and it adds to your d20 roll for attack. It works like this. A Master Worked weapon has a +1 bonus, this adds to your attack roll only. A magical weapon's attack bonus however adds to both your attack and your damage rolls. Thus a +1 Master Worked Sword would give you a +1 to attack A +1 Magical Sword would give you +1 to Attack and +1 damage, a +2 sword would give you +2 attack and +2 damage. A +1 Flaming Longsword would give you +1 attack and +1d6+1 damage. |
