#1 dm99 Jun 26, 2012 16:37:56	In the current campaign I'm the only Evil aligned character in a group of Chaotics and Neutrals. The DM only made one stipulation and that was at Level 6 everyone take Leadership because he wants to built towards a large scale war scenario. The current party is this: Drow Sorc3/Cleric3 (Building towards true Necro), 2 Human Warlocks one level 6 the other level 4(blasters both but one is a main, the other a cohort for the Barbarian), 1 Half-Orc Barbarian. And my cohort is a Pure Bred Were-Viper Gnome that I'm going to build up through the Monk Class. Given the diverse nature of the party, just trying to find the niche my character can excel in. I really like the idea of applying the Archery feats to my character's bola. To me that's really unique but the damage leaves something to be desired since its only a 1d4+Str weapon. Any ideas on where I can go from here? I had considered some of the more stealth classes because of the High Dex, but the 10 Con makes me realize I have to keep him off the front line. Character Stats 14 Str 18 Dex 10 Con 14 Int 8 Wis 14 Cha. When rolling our stats the DM had us roll in order 4d6 drop the lowest. What you rolled went to the corresponding stat. At level 4 I used my ability increase to move my Wis from -7 to -8. Feats: EWP Bola, Weap Prof: Bola, Imp Toughness, Iron Will, Leadership, Combat Expertise, Point Black Shot, Precise Shot  Skills: Balance 5 Ranks Con: 4 Ranks Craft Alchemy: 5 Ranks Escape Artist: 6 ranks (because of the low strength) Hide 5 Ranks Intimidate 5 Ranks Move Silently 5 ranks Ride 5 Ranks Tumble 4 Ranks I haven't put ranks into Spot and Listen because of my -1 bonus. Equipment: +1 Barbed Bola w/ Returning. 1d4+2 Piercing damage (I just like the ranged trip without AoO.), Normal Bola, +1 Light Steel Shield w/ Bashing 1d6+2 Bludgeoning, Normal Rapier (bought after campaign started because of mechanics issues relying on Bola as main weapon), Masterwork Longbow, and Mithril Chain shirt.

#4 Krusk Jun 28, 2012 16:00:39	community.wizards.com/go/forum/view/7588... For something fun, you could see if the DM will count bolas as a projectile weapon and go into cragtop archer. You can attack targets at the edge of the horizon. Fighter 6/SWB 1/Cragtop Archer 4/Ranger 2/Horizon Walker 7 would be fairly solid and a neat bounty hunter theme. You walk the worlds tracking people wherever they go capturing them. (Cragtop is in races of stone) If you plan to use the bolas as the primary weapon drop swashbuckler. It doesn't really help much, and could be put to better use.  You could also probably get some milage out of master thrower in complete warrior.
