Hello all!

I had some spare time at work so I threw together some Power Templates in Word.

There are 2 at-will, 2 encounter, and 2 Daily powers included.

After playing around, I found that creating each power section as it's own set of text boxes was most efficient, and that word would be the most universal format people could use.

The power boxes are currently grouped for ease of copying and moving. Simply move them where you want them, ungroup the power, and resize the text boxes as needed. Fill in your particular traits and weapon info, crunch a little math and viola!

Ready to print personalized powers in full color. Enjoy!

I am glad you guys like them. I actually ended up adding an Encounter power for Second Wind since it is the easiest way to keep track of it. I will add it tomorrow

Here is another template for my Infernal Pact 'Lock: Fernia Hellbourne (creative, I know. She's an NPC)

So after I was up late last night cutting out powers and glue-sticking them onto cardstock, something occurred to me.

When my group started KotS, I used 3"x5" index cards with blown-up powers from the pregens glued onto them. They took up too much room on the game table.

So then, once I saw the books, I realized I would need to input all the powers manually, so I created this template for them. Printed out, these mini-cards are the perfect size for our game table, but they present two other challenges:

1) They are tiny buggers and get knocked about and dropped or lost easily.

2) Every even-numbered level (at least) I will need to update, reprint, and reglue the cards. Now, I could set it up where I could write in the mods and damage in pencil to update, but I would need to increase the size of the cards to do so effectively, and we are back to the space problem OR I could ditch the card idea all together.

I love to tap power cards as much as the next man. Book of the nine swords was card-tap heaven. So I came to a final conclusion:

Add an "expended" check box on the front and use it like my old spell sheets. This may be the best of both worlds. When I level, I just adjust the powers and reprint. No fuss, no glue, no cards to deal with.

So here are two more characters:

To answer the PMs I got:

I included Gruff's Healer's Lore (Wis Mod) into all the healing powers - that's why they are so high.

This is actually pretty cool. I'm working on recreating the bard class at the moment (which I suppose I'll be posting here when I'm done), and these are entertaining to play with for the purpose of creating the bard's powers.

It'll also be nifty for not having to have a book open all the time for when the campaign I'm playing in gets up and running this Saturday.

Thanks

Okay, campers!

Major changes and additions here!

While running my 6-man team through KotS last night I realized how very much I hate the new Character Sheets during combat. I also realized that I forgot to add the Weapon Prof bonus onto all my weapon powers.

New "Quicksheet" additions:

1) All attack numbers have been fixed

2) "Paladin's Judgment" was mislabeled "Beacon of Hope" in the last set (although all the stats and splash were correct)

3) "Quicksheet" information has all pertinent combat info at your fingertips, including combined Class, Feat, and Racial features separated into "Offensive" and "Defensive" varieties.

After play-testing the group, I was unhappy with the Warlock's performance.
I remade Fernia as a Fey Pact and will try it out next.

So, inspired by the new Warforged article, and after playtesting my Quicksheets (with a sigh of relief, they were great for me) I threw together a Warforged Warlord named Flank. Enjoy!

This was a compare and contrast build. I wanted to see the difference between the Dragonborn TWF ranger and a slightly different concept for a Halfling Ranger, based more on his Dex.

Added Skag, a Kobold Ranger to the list. The concept here was speed, movement and evasion, while slicing and dicing . . .

Thanks. I was going to do this myself but you saved me some time (as well as did them better than I probably would have.)

Also, for anyone who may be upset about them being in Word: go to OpenOffice.org and download that. It's free.

I know there are a few small errors here and there. Most of them I fix down here and don't bother putting them back up. Usually it has nothing to do with the powers anyhow.

I know there are a lot of people out there who dispise Word or MS or whatever, but there are far more who have access to it, so that's why I went that route.

What would be awesome is if someone had an ability to automatically resize the boxes to fit the text, and an easy way to add or subtract boxes as needed in Excel or PDF, neither of which programs am I an expert in.
