Sep 15, 2008 19:47:58 hi all i'm in dire need of help right now i have a character who i am hoping to prestige up to dragonslayer and maybe hit level 10 BUT due to a long back history his little brother wants him dead so i need to find something that will cause hell for a fighter i'm thinking also take a prestige class but i'm not entirely sure, if someone can come up with some cool ideas and throw them my way or even know the awnser to my situation please let me know by any means.

Ok, I'm gonna try and decrypt this. You have a character in what I'm guessing is a 3rd or 3.5 edition game which you one day hope to level up enough so that he can qualify for a Dragonslayer prestige class. Apparently you should be able to qualify for this class by level 10.

First off, is this class a homebrewed one from your DM or is it in fact one from a text or other media source like the Draconomicon?

However there is a snag in the plans due to the fact that your characters younger brother apparently wants your character killed. This fact has been written into your characters backstory and is being handled by the DM.

This is where you start to lose me. Apparently the younger sibling is a straight classed fighter. You are now looking for some manner of skill, feat, or item that will cause absolute havoc with the fighter class. You need this to allow your character to survive what looks to be a fight he normally would lose.

In addition to this you are hoping to take a prestige class aside from Dragonslayer. What you're looking for from the people on this forum are ideas to allow you to survive your impending fight and to prosper afterwards.

If that's the case, please feel free to acknowledge it and we can move on from there.

Sep 16, 2008 7:41:23 close, my character is a fighter, who will prestige into the class "dragonslayer" from the book "Dracomation" at level 6.

i was hoping to reach level 10 before encountering my youner sibling but as i said my charcter can reach level 6 - 8

i am not looking for an easy fight. what i am looking fora fair fight in which i could possibly get killed why should it be easy for me when my younger sibling had it so rough and has no other disire but to kill his older sibling (my character).

i was thinking the is younger sibling could be a rogue turned assassin, but this means my character has more hit points over his sibling i am looking for an fair fight in which i have a 50:50 shot of surviving so i need to wrk out what classes my sibling be and which would be effect VSa fighter turnd dragonslayer.

in short if you had to build a PC to specificly kill a fighter turned dragonslayer what classs would you take but please remember this

when it comes to the killing of his older sibling he won't do it from the darkness he wants face him as an equal as he has a sense of honor.

Sep 16, 2008 13:29:19 I'd say let the DM handle picking the younger sibling's class. Share your ideas on what this character's personality is like, but leave the mechanical stuff to the DM for now.

I would have the brother be a rogue because the rogue has a large damage output, tumble skill increases fighting defensively and total defense, a large bluff bonus with improved feint is strong. If your younger brother is an invisible blade prestige class then he may be able to feint as a free action, have extra AC equal to his int modifier, take ten on feint, and cause ongoing cumulative damage.

Sep 16, 2008 16:37:12 intresting thoughts there, i did actull write to my DM and give him the idea of having my little brother randomly turn up and declare he's going to kill me and have at it. so it could be random in the next game infact it would be a damn shame if he killed his 10 year old brother because he was hell bent on killing him, persnaly i think he'll just go home after that XD

you need help optimizing your younger sibling what's the point buy limit? what ecl?

what house rules?

What race are you?
