| #1thehangmansjokeMar 17, 2008 10:40:04 | I appologize in advanced for all this... So a friend of mine invited me to join her campaign but gave me a bit of a warning that the DM comes up with very... shall we say... she rips off all her campaigns. We just finished "The Room" or whatever it was on Sci Fi channel and that was actually ok except she felt there was no room for a half-orc barbarian prone to drunken bouts of singing, but thats a whole nother conversation. In this campaign she wants all the characters to be a 3.5 equivilent of a movie character. I used to play the dark horse character in my old group so I thought I'd pick it back up and play Riddick. Chaotic Evil Rogue (DM won't allow multi-classing) Human. Haven't done up the stats yet, but what I got caught on was his eyeshine. The closest thing I could think of would be giving him an item (maybe cursed so it never turned off?) that granted him low-light vision. Does anybody have any ideas or should I just abandon this and make He-man? lol |

| #3Dog_O_WarMar 17, 2008 12:02:36 | First, unless you're allowed all stats of 30, you shouldn't attempt this. Second, you need..... Okay, I was going to go on a joke rant about how you should be able to eat a buick and other Vin Diesel cheese (your catch phrase should be "I end lives" etc...) but Your question seems legit. High physical stats are a must, and you should really play an Orc (not a half-orc). They have light-blindness (as does Riddick), and they can see in the dark (as could Riddick). The high strength bonus gives you that arificial increase for melee capability, so you aren't losing out in the combat end. I recommend high dex, con, and charisma, as well (but you probably knew that). Good choice on class BTW. |

She did say though that it was a 40 point buy system that she was going to be running. Thanks for the suggestion of the Orc with lightblindness and darkvision. As for stats I haven't had a chance to find the modifiers for an Orc and don't know them, but I was thinking high DEX and CHA. Above average CON and STR if I could swing it. INT didn't seem a major thing (although Riddick did have lots of skills) and WIS was similar (although he was street smart). I went with Rogue class because I kept hearing him talking about "the sweet spot" from Pitch Black in my head and that totally sounds like a "backstab" lol Thanks for all the help. |
