#1 moofassa Sep 21, 2014 15:41:15	Hello all   I've been playing with a group recently and we have discovered a note, written in iokharic. I've been able to translate the characters into english, but unfortunately it appears to be written in another language. I have tried a very handy online draconic and elvish translator, but with no luck. Does anyone know if there are translators for other languages? Or even just lists of words in other languages and their english equivalents? Any help would be much appreciated. For interest, the note says:   syha'h thnaroth n'ghft thnaroth haiyar thanaroth cstell'bsna syha'h cstell'bsna n'ghft cstell'bsna thnarothyar ph'n'gha mglw'nafh zythanties fhtagn ilyaa zythanties haiyar zythanties tharajak shogg geb shegg
#2 Fochizzy Sep 22, 2014 8:48:51	That is a lot of work, but there is no guarantee the DM used a real-life equivalent. Furthermore, wouldn't getting an answer spoil the game for you? Considering what it is, mystery is clearly the point. Just let it go.

He's right that it looks very Lovecraftian, though it could be from Forgotten Realms, which uses far more g, k, and th than elvish ought to (it ends up sounding more klingon or orcish), there's no real translations of Faerun Elven.   And yeah, you really shouldn't be using the forums for spoilers on a plot device riddle.
