#1 1337animefan Jun 03, 2010 5:49:24	I have a question pertaining to the properties of Aurorum (Book of Exalted Deeds). The description of the metal states that "An aurorum weapon, shield, or suit of armor that has been sundered can be reformed by bringing together its fragments (a full-round action). The broken pieces bond quickly and seamlessly, restoring the item to its previous state." Does the wording in the description of "restoring the item to its previous state" mean that the item is restored as per Make Whole (meaning that any magic enhancements that the item had are lost), or is the sundering effectively undone entirely (leaving the magic in tact)? I can't seem to find an answer one way or the other, but all of the other forums I have checked indicate the latter. As a subsequent question, in order to restore this item, is it necessary to bring together the fragments manually, or do the pieces come together of their own accord? Thanks in advance for any help you can give with these questions.
#2 m4kitsu Jun 03, 2010 17:30:10	It sounds like you've asked this before in other places... are you expecting (or hoping?) for a different answer here?  "Ask not the forums, for they will say both yes and no" notwithstanding, this is a DM call. I would read it to mean it is restored to precisely whatever state it was in before it was sundered. If it was a working magic item before the hit, then it's a working magic item post-reforging. That, however, is only my opinion. I'm afraid I can offer nothing else.  You might have better luck in the legacy forums further down the index, honestly.
