| #1lindranisNov 16, 2008 23:42:24 | I can't really find any games to join (Even failing to find one online here). Are there any other place that where I can find some games? |
| #2ipenguinNov 16, 2008 23:54:10 | Well from what I read, maybe local comic book shop, close friends dunno maybe even get your family members involved. |
| #3lindranisNov 16, 2008 23:56:40 | Well from what I read, maybe local comic book shop, close friends dunno maybe even get your family members involved. There are no hobby shops where I live, plus the fact I live in the middle of nowhere. |
| #4ipenguinNov 17, 2008 0:11:15 | Well where I live, I think possibly nobody plays D&D, I'm 16 so I could start a group but most of my friends thinks D&D is stupid and to geeky and nerdy for them. So that is a problem. But not having a hobby shop conjures a big problem. I'm not really the one to give out good info. But some of the more veterans could probably give out more respectable knowledge. I'm only a novice/ complete noob at D&D because I still haven't played my first game. |
| #5DeathMutantLivesNov 17, 2008 0:44:20 | Try Meetup.com, Google for "D&D" and a city close to you, Yahoo or Google groups, the link to the player finder on these forums, plus several other external (and FREE) sites that are designed to help players find games. |
| #6lindranisNov 17, 2008 1:35:27 | I'm seriously thinking of quitting this game, I see no point of having the materials to a game I can't play. |
| #7RyndarLockeNov 17, 2008 3:25:24 | http://forums.rptools.net/ Xantrik runs LFR RPGA games every Friday Night as far as I can tell. |
| #8lindranisNov 17, 2008 15:46:50 | Any other suggestions? |
| #9RyndarLockeNov 17, 2008 18:12:54 | That's not enough? |
| #10mistimpNov 18, 2008 8:32:49 | Any other suggestions? The book store? Hang out in the isle where the D&D books are and start chatting with anyone who comes in and looks at game books. Ask the clerk at the information desk if he knows where to find players. The local Community College or University? They will have bulletin boards for students to put up notices looking for players. Find one and call the number. Ask at the information desk to see if the school has a formal Sci-fi or gaming club and ask for their contact information. The RPGA section of this website? Go to the forum and ask. Go to the Calender and search for events near your area. Even if the closest you can find is 100 miles away, contact the Coordinator of the event. He or she will know of players in your area and be able to put you in contact with them. Most importantly, list where you live. For all you know one of the people who replied to this thread lives near you, but since most people (including you) have their location blank and your post does not say where you live, you will never make the connection. |
| #11tequila_sunriseNov 18, 2008 10:21:48 | Any other suggestions? Giant in the Playground is the best site for online games that I know of. I'm currently DMing a game there and just joined another game as a player. TS |
| #12Janx_14Nov 18, 2008 10:40:58 | The online game i'm in is bout to hit 7 people, but we're fine with including 1 more. We got 3 people in the last month, starting to wonder by the time we hit 30 if we're not going to have a small army. |
| #13wizarddogNov 18, 2008 13:11:41 | http://www.penandpapergames.com Has a map you can find other registered players and how far. |

| #15suomihullu_dupNov 18, 2008 13:35:03 | ' I don't mean to offend but with that attitude the likelihood of you finding a group is slim. If you want to find a group you are going to have to try. |
| #16mistimpNov 18, 2008 13:55:28 | Goto D&D Calendar Then either choose a Metro area for NC or put in your zip. A list of events will come up and you can get contact info for either the event coordinator or the venue. Pop off an email and you will be playing in no time. Here are the groups I know of: CLT gamedays - Charlotte, NC ColaRPGA - Columbia, SC Lost Goblin - Raleigh, NC March Wardens - Durham, NC RTP RPGA - Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill All of these have links on the Living Forgotten Realms Aglarond Wiki |
| #17wizarddogNov 19, 2008 2:31:10 | ' I'll make sure to tell my buddy El Nino to blow by. :P |
| #18lindranisNov 19, 2008 12:39:46 | Update: I've emailed everyone and said I have been told I have to go there (Which is impossible as I don't have a car). SO I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to give up trying to play this game (And it's exteremly hostile fanbase on OTHER sites) and selling my 3.5 PHB |

Maybe group interaction isn't your cup of tea. Bye, bye. |

Then again, as the posters above me, maybe it just isn't your cup of tea. Good luck in, whatever your doing I guess |
