I'm playing a Sorcerer with Cosmic Magic.  It grants changing resistances, but on one phase, it grants 5 fire resistance.  I also have a magic cloak that grants 5 fire, and 5 cold resistance.  I couldn't find anything explicit in the handbook.  What do you think, can I stack the fire resistance because they come from different sources? If I'm missing something in the rules, please let me know, otherwise, I'd like your opinions.

No.  Stacking only applies to bonuses.  Unless the effect specifically states it improves your current resistance, it doesn't.

Thanks.  Can you tell me where it says that.  I have no problem not stacking, it just bugs me when I try to look things up and can't find them.

The few things that actually do improve your existing resistance say so directly with their text, along the lines of, "You gain Resist Fire 5. If you already have Resist Fire, it increases by 2 instead."

Otherwise, all of those Resist Fire X effects are not cumulative - you only get the best one among them.
