I was flipping through the Complete mage and i noticed something interesting. My GM already ruled it as possable but i want everyone elses commentary. Especially as to wether you think the PrCs abilities would apply.

If a cleric takes the Divine magician alternative, wich adds an arcane spell to thier list each lvl. Would they be eligible for the Abjuration Champion PrC? The alternative grants the required 1st lvl arcane spell, and the cleric list already has abjurations.

I have a vision in my head of a cleric who casts a supercharged shield other (+6 AC, 2 hours/lvl), a very potent Shield of faith (+10 AC at 18th), and then tops it all off with vigor mass lessor.

Too reiderate, do you think the PrCs abilities, such as arcane boost, bonus spellcaster class lvls, and martial arcanist. would apply to the clerics abilities. Seeing as his spell list would now encompass both arcane and devine spells?

The way I read Divine Magician, I don't view it as remotely possible.

You add the spells to the Cleric spell list, which is not the same as being able to cast arcane spells at all.  You merely add a little to your already huge list of spells you can draw from, casting those as cleric spells and therefore they would be divine.  This makes it impossible to meet the spellcasting prerequisite of Abjurant Champion and thus means that you can't take it at all.

Given that your DM is going to let you do it anyway, then yes the abilities should count toward your cleric spells (except for Martial Arcanist and spellcasting progression which specifically require you to add them to levels of an arcane casting class).

Even with your DM's fudging of the rules to allow you to take the class, I can't really see any way to fudge them to allow the capstone ability or the casting progression in any way that would make the rules entirely meaningless.  And without those, the whole class becomes much less worthwhile.
