Quick question from anewbie I'm building my first character and i made a warlord that focuses on healing/buffing the party. But i was not sure what weapon to take. The long sword would seem to as the biggest bonus to hit +3. But as there are two sword users already i wanted something different. So my question, what options that have high prof and dmg that are not the long sword. I don't care about two handed vs one handed but assume I'm in chainmail and wield a light shield. Thanks for your help

Get a Chieftan's Trident if you do a lot of enabling.  Longsword or Rapier work as well.  If you want to spend a feat there are a lot of +3 prof items to pick from as well.  When I look for something low level and a little different I generally go with the trident as it is different and gives me access to the chieftan enchant.

If you weild a light shield, then you're not using two-handed weapons.

That aside: Chieftain's Greatspear or Alhulak.

A buddy of mine likes the kohpesh. D8 damage, counts as both an axe and a heavy blade, and has brutal 1 seems pretty nice if ya ask me. Sure, it's still a sword, bust its a cool sword.

Military melee weapon. Not a superior weapon, if I'm remembering correctly. So, if warlord has military melee weapon access, he should be having it on his list

When choosing a weapon for my Warlords the debate is normally ... Barbarian or Rogue.
