The damage numbers were good (compared to the rest of the party), but I really didn't have any options. Just Vengeance Strike every round. Even with Dread Smite, it was just something I added to my at-will. And what I'm looking for is options. Sort of a fifth man character. I'm not really looking to do everything by role really, but more that no matter the situation I'd like to have a response. The Blackguard... when I was fighting a solo I was okay, but against minions I really wished I had an AoE, and against some flying enemies I wished I had a ranged attack. (Something better than a backup javelin, which I didn't even have). I also hated having to awkwardly run circles around enemies to constantly flank so my Dark Menace/Vice of Fury would work. I do prefer melee to ranged, though. I just feel more involved that way... I looked at stuff like Resourceful Magician, but that's paragon. We just started at level 1, and it'll take a least half a year to reach that... I'd like something that works now. So, can anyone help me with some ideas? |

They're a leader subclass of a controller class, their encounter power leans heavily toward striker, and their class features can allow them to sub defender/"tank" when needed. You get access to the core Druid at-wills and dailies, giving you lots of options, and a lot of versatility. |
