Ummm, in 3.5 E Clerics can only use the spells listed under their Domain Lists, correct?

Nope, "A cleric casts divine spells, which are drawn from the cleric spell list. However, his alignment may restrict him from casting certain spells opposed to his moral or ethical beliefs". -Cleric, from the Hypertext d20 SRD

The Domain spells are kinda of a bonus, "Each domain gives the cleric access to a domain spell at each spell level he can cast, from 1st on up, as well as a granted power". -Cleric, from the Hypertext d20 SRD

Incorrect. Clerics may use any spell on the "Clerics" spell list, which does not have an opposing alignment description. i.e. a good cleric may not cast a spell with the "evil" discriptor.

Now specificaly about domain spells. Each cleric gets to choose two domains from their "gods" domain list. Of those two domains the cleric gets the granted power of each and a "bonus" spell from each at the appropriate level. However on the clerics daily alotment of spells, the cleric may only choose one (this is one total) domain spell to prepair for the day. i.e. a cleric with the fire domain and the air domian at first level has (hypothetical here) burning hands and gust of wind as domain spells. When prepairing his/her spells the day s/he must deside if s/he is going prepare burning hands or gust of wind, but s/he may not prepair both.

Okay...well first off the campaign is Eberron so I'm unsure whether alignment is still an issue since a Cleric cannot lose his/her powers by breaking alignment restrictions, but assuming it is still an issue as the source of the power doesn't change would a LN Cleric with a LE god have issues casting Cure Light Wounds? Would he be able to cast both Inflict and Cure seeing as how he is Neutral or does that not matter?

On top of that, what level is the Domain bonus spell? I guess it can be anything that the player can cast or less on that list, no? So a 4th lvl Cleric could potentially cast a bonus Domain Spell of 2 or less??

Sorry for all the stupid questions. :P

The Cure spells (and the Inflict spells, IIRC) are not aligned. For spells with alignment issues, they're referring to spells with the [Evil] or [Good] Descriptor ... something like Spell of Ultimate Doom [Necromantic] [Evil] or Spell of Flowers and Love [Abjuration] [Good].

There is a Domain spell for each level. So a Cleric with access to level 2 spells would have a 1st level domain spell and a 2nd level domain spell.

Thanks to everyone who has posted so far...That clears everything up. :D

I'm not sure how alignment restrictions work in Ebberon exactly. But for core rules a LN cleric would choose wich energy type he uses at the begging of play. So I'm guessing since your character has an evil deity he uses negative energy. This restricts him on his spontaneous casting, your character (if he has chosen negative energy) may convert any prepaired spell to cast an inflict spell of equal or lesser spell level. He can not spontaneously cast any heal spell, however he cast them normaly. He can not cast any spell the "good" descriptor. He may rebuke or bulster undead, but may not turn them.

As for the domain spell level, each domain has a list of spells which are granted at specific cleric levels, starting at level 1 and going though level 9. You will notice on the cleric information block in the PHB that the clerics spells per day list (starting on spell level 1) has a 1+1 listing, the +1 spell denotes the clerics domain spell.

Hope this helps

Well, he has the Tomb-tainted Soul Feat from Libris Mortis so negative energy heals him actually. My original idea was to prepare Cure spells for the other party members and if need be, convert them to Inflict for healing undead minions or himself. (I've chosen Negative Energy just to clear things up.)
