#1 ssp242 Jul 07, 2010 11:17:58	Hey, So I'm looking for some help.  For years I've played RPGs on PCs and consoles (FFVIII & a LOT of BioWare) and now I want to try some tabletop games.  Where would be a good place in Manhattan to go to start a game and play with people willing to help a complete novice out?  I'll only be in the city on weekends. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Any help is appreciated, thanks! Well, the Complete Strategest gaming store has game tables in the basement, I think they are closed Sunday. But even still they are a great place to buy all kinds of game stuff. And then just down the street to the west, is the amazing Jim Hanelys Universe, and I think they have started hosting games in their basement. One of the best comic book shops around. While you are there, you should pick up a copy of an amazing mini comic called Kool Aid Gets Fired! Other then that, try Meetup.com to find local DnD players. I run a weekly figure drawing group using that site, and it's very friendly and useful. The groups on there are legit so no need to worry about it being scammy or creepy.
