Sorry, I wasn't sure where to place this. Anyways, heres what I have so far:

Human Wizard Lv7
STR 8-1
DEX 16+3
CON 12+1
INT 18+4
WIS 10+0
CHR 14+2

Equip: Dagger, Robes, Spellbook
Skills: Concentration, Spot, Listen, Spell Craft, Knowledge Arcana, Hide, (not sure on 7th skill)

What I need help with is how many Feats, Skill Point, Hp and all and Magics I'll have at this level, I don't own the Players Handbook and sr20d.net melts my head. If I knew the above info I could probably work out the rest by myself. Thanks.

This is the right place to ask.

Are those your starting stats, or your current stats after magic items and the increase you receive at 4th level? That will affect a lot of your information, though some of it can be figured out right now.

Feats

You'll have a total of six feats

  • You get Scribe Scroll for free from being wizard at first level
  • You get a feat of your choice at 1st, 3rd, and 6th level.
  • As a human, you get another feat of your choice at 1st level.
  • At 5th level of wizard, you gain a bonus feat that must be a metamagic or item creation feat.

Hit Points

I can't tell you exactly, because a lot of DMs have their own way of doing things. I can explain the standard way, however.

At first level you have 4 plus your Constitution modifier, for a total 5. At every other level, you roll a d4, add your Con mod to the die roll, and add that to your hit point total. However... a lot of DMs remove the die roll and go with an average; I played with one DM who gave max hit points for the first levels. I let players roll, but guarantee they'll get at least half their hit die value. So you'll want to check with your DM here to see what he/she does.

Skill Points

This is where it'll matter most about your ability scores. Generically speaking, a wizard gets 2+Int mod skill points per level; being human you get one additional skill point. At first level, you get four times that amount.

As an aside, I'd recommend [i]not[i] taking Hide, Listen and Spot, because those are cross-class skills for you. Instead, focus on one of your strengths - Knowledge skills. By acquiring various Knowledge skills, you can help your party by knowing things about monsters (such as their weaknesses or abilities), knowing local legends, knowing about politics and bureaucracy while in a city, and so on.

Spells

There's two things to know -- how many spells are in your spellbook and how many spells of each level you can cast per day.

Spellbook I need to know your starting Int score to tell you exactly. But we can give some generalities here.

You have all 0 level spells. (unless you specialize, then you don't have spells belonging to your forbidden schools).

At first level, your spellbook contains a number of first level spells equal to 3 plus your Int mod at that level.

At every level thereafter, you get to add two spells of any level you can cast. Typically, this means you add 2 first level spells and 2nd character level, 2 second level spells and 3rd character level, 2 second level spells at 4th character level, and so on. If you follow that pattern, you'll have this:

Level 0: All
Level 1: 5 plus Int mod
Level 2: 4
Level 3: 4
Level 4: 2

Spells per Day A 7th level wizard can cast 4 spells of level 0, 4 of 1st, 3 of 2nd, 2 of 3rd and 1 of 4th. In addition, your current Int score gives you bonus spells. An 18 gives one each of 1st through 4th. So, in total you would have 5/5/4/3/2.

If d20srd.org (not net) "melts your head" then I recommend checking out different SRD sites. I use this one. While it's neat and nicely organized, another important factor for me is the fact that my employer doesn't block it, unlike many other SRD sites.

Good luck!

Thanks and I know you said it's not suggested but can I have Hide anyways? Because if a dragon attacks, I'd like to be safely not insight. Or is Invisibility good enough to replace Hide?

btw, my skills are: Spellcraft, Concentration, Knw Local, knw Nature, Knw Arcana, Use Magiacal Device and ______.

You can have it, but you'll have to spend two skill points for every rank you get. And your max ranks is half that of a class skill. The same is true for Use Magic Device.

For Hide, you can't make a Hide check while being observed. So if the dragon sees you, it's too late. Invisibility (or other "get away" spells) is a better choice for that, and will save you skill points.

Finally, are those ability mods the totals you rolled? Or are they adjusted by your 4th level increase and/or magic items? If you can provide that, I can give you some more information about skills and such.

Ability rolls? is that like Dex 16+3 or something?

The DM gives us a 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and a 18 to place anywhere and the +whatever is how far it is away from 10 halved I think. Like 16 is 6 away from 10 and 6 halved is 3, therefor 16+3.

Meh, I just do what the DM says and hope I don't die, lol.

If those numbers are what the DM gave you, then you get to add 1 to one of them because you would have gained that at 4th level.

So is that 17+3 or 16+4?
Also, I did the Skill Points for Concentration. 1st lv makes it 12 then adding 3 one until lv7 makes it 30!? Is that right? That seems freakishly high.

Nope. For every 4 character levels you acquire, you may add +1 to any single ability score of your choice. Most will recommend you increase the ability score that impacts the largest number of class features. For wizards, that would be Intelligence. Since your starting ability array is:
  • Str: 8
  • Dex: 16
  • Con: 12
  • Int: 18
  • Wis: 10
  • Cha: 14

Add one to your Intelligence score (not the bonus; that's determined mathematically from the score), thusly:
  • Str: 8
  • Dex: 16
  • Con: 12
  • Int: 19 <--- Level 4 ability increase here
  • Wis: 10
  • Cha: 14

The bonuses associated with each score won't change yet (but that could change based on any magic items you possess).

You have done something wrong with your skill points. At Level 7 you will have a total of 70 skill points to allocate among any skills you wish. Here's how it breaks down:
  • Level 1: 28 skill points (2 class skill points + 1 human bonus skill point + 4 from your Int bonus, times 4)
  • Levels 2 to 7: 7 additional skill points per level. 7 points/level x 6 levels = 42 more skill points.

Class skills cost 1 point per rank, cross-class skills (that is, all the skills NOT specifically listed as a class skill) cost 2 points per rank. You may have a total of 10 ranks (Character Level + 3) in class skills, and half that in cross-class skills.

So assuming you put 10 points into Concentration (you probably should), your bonus to Concentration Checks is +11. That's +10 from your skill ranks, and +1 from your Constitution Bonus because Concentration is keyed to Constitution.

Your skills probably look like this:
  • Spellcraft: 10 ranks
  • Concentration: 10 ranks
  • Knowledge (Local): 10 ranks
  • Knowledge (Nature): 10 ranks
  • Knowledge (Arcana): 10 ranks
  • Use Magiacal Device: 5 ranks <--- UMD is a cross-class skill. 5 ranks costs 10 skill points!!

That's a total of 60 skill points allocated, leaving you with 10 skill points. Since you can't "bank" skill points for later, you MUST pick additional skills.

I suggest adding Knowledge (The Planes): 10 ranks.
